First time have dinner at Cache I have to say it was fantastic! The food is amazing! Fried calamari is excellent! Not too greasy, their homemade sauces are a huge plus to this appetizer. Half shell oysters are super fresh. You can tell they are selected. Lamb chop cooked just right with mash potato and kale. Services are top notch! Really fancy VIP room. They also have a second floor you can have the view of Little Rock downtown. Will definitely come back. read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was different than I expected. I thought It was supposed to be upscale because of the prices and the valet parking (complimentary) but it really wasn't. I expected fabulous but it was just fine for me. Casual atmosphere: The hostess didn't offer a formal greeting and didn't even stop her conversation with another staff member to thank us for visiting when we left. The wait staff was REALLY friendly but more casual than expected. The music was current, no instrumentals or adaptations. They don't have a dress code. You can wear sneakers for example. Also they have a seating area next to a big screen TV that was tuned in to a sports channel. It was all fine to me (except the hostess) but all together it made the environment seem less upscale than I expected. The food: Our table ordered candied bacon. This is five bacon strips that are sweet but peppery. Comes with sour pickles and something that looked like onions. I didn't taste that. I'd order it again. We also ordered a crab cake. I love crab cakes but this one was a let down because it was $22 and very breaded. I prefer a lump crab cake. I wouldn't order this again. My friend ordered shrimp and grits. I tried it. The grits were not tender enough for my taste but she LOVED it. Especially the sauce. Entrees were Tuscan chicken, thumbs up all around. Lamb chops; another thumbs up and Salmon which is what I ordered. It was cooked beautifully but it needed more seasoning. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. I'd order it again if it could be blackened. Everyone seemed to like their cocktails. My friend ordered the Daisy Bates and she seemed to like hers the most. The others had one with blueberries and one with pomegranate vodka. The desserts were all absolutely divine. I don't eat bread pudding or creme brûlée but everyone who ordered those LOVED them. They brought us chocolate ale by mistake and it was SO good. We paired dessert with coffee. I drink my coffee black and it was really good, strong cup of coffee. Our group was celebrating something VERY special (the reservationist never even asked) and we were seated next to the kitchen. In the future I'll request a better seat if possible. It wasn't busy. I'd probably visit them again but with lower expectations. Maybe I'd go for a snack and cocktail unless the menu changes. read more

Lovely atmosphere with a good music selection and very knowledgeable, attentive staff. The crab cakes were sublime! The lamb chops were interesting with a mustard rub that was unexpected but delicious, paired with savory mashed potatoes. I plan on returning in search of dessert soon! read more

I can't believe I have never done a review for Cache, as I have been a diner there since they opened in 2013. This is 2024 now. Sheesh, I'm a little late to the party. I think Cache does the best steak in town. Chef Payne will cook it exactly as you like it. I love the candied bacon appetizer with the clothes pins. I love the tuna wontons every time I am there! The Dover sole is the best I've ever had, but I don't think it's on the menu now. And I have hosted fundraisers and parties and all the fun things in my life upstairs at Cache. It overlooks downtown and you can see the River Market area. Great vibe. If you're in Little Rock, make a trip downtown to Cache. Oh, and one more thing: valet parking. read more

Not a very good experience. My boyfriend had made a reservation for us as a date night and the waitress was very dismissive towards us. First, my boyfriend reviewed the menu online to ensure I would be able to find something to eat, as I am quite picky. The menu online was completely different than what we were provided at the restaurant. My boyfriend had asked for a separate menu and the waitress said they didn't serve burgers nor did they have another menu, despite the website showing an option for a burger. My boyfriend had also mentioned that it was my birthday on the reservation and it was not brought up to us at all. I have seen google reviews of people getting birthday desserts, and we had gotten nothing. We were not even offered dessert. Upon time to pay, the waitress just put the check on the table and walked away without saying a word to us, even after my partner thanked her. Our waitress spent majority of the night talking to other guests but did not make any effort for us. There seems to be stigma around young adults, as we were not treated with the same respect as the other guests. Will never go here again and it's frustrating that we were not given the same level of service that others received. read more

This place is trendy. Very modern, upbeat ambience. There menu has something for everyone as there is a wide range of offerings. The caramelized bacon was fabulous. The pork shank was wonderful. Drinks were very well made. The staff was friendly and our waiter, Sebastian was friendly, tentative and knew how to make excellence suggestions. Beautiful restaurant and nice ambiance. Had dinner with a friend and she had the pork chop with risotto and brocolinni which she said was delicious and a bread pudding which she called divine. I had the romaine salad which was beautifully presented and plenty big for dinner along with yummy key lime pie. Service was great, Kenneth was very attentive. The blueberry sconces were delicious. That's coming from someone who isn't a fan of blueberries. I picked round them, but the sconces weren't "overpopulated" by the blueberries, which was great. The chicken and waffles is a must. The waffles are light and flavorful. The chicken is more seasoned than I expected, honestly.. environment : It is a quiet environment. There's a bar area, and seating in view of the kitchen. The kitchen is open so that customers can see the food being cooked. I like that. The music selection was nice. The temperature was also nice. Everyone enjoyed their food and we had 8 people in our party. I tried the pizza. It was "ok". It puts me in the mind of Olive Garden's pizza if you've ever had that. The kids (one liked it, and one who was older said that the cheese tasted "funny" . Yes just used to Pizza Hut probably). Management aids with cleaning the tables and getting things ready as well. He is seen, and that says a lot about the business. The host is nice, and well dressed. Our waitress was also nice. Cons during the trip : -Out of lemonade. Machine was broken -Sprite needed changing. Not drinkable -Hair in my food (as pictured). Some of the cooks had hair hanging from under their caps, so that might've been the problem there. Wow! Okay, I must leave a review because I avoided this place for 8 years. In 2013 and 2014 we tried multiple times and it just didn't meet our expectations. Repeatedly disappointed. I have been here four or five times - there used to be a decent Brunch which I enjoyed. I've returned a few times for dinner. Most recently, since the easing of COVID restrictions and the city allowing indoor dining. I just feel let down. I mean I understand the last couple of months sucked, but that shouldn't be the reason for mediocre food. Admittedly, I go to restaurants partly for the social aspect, and in Little Rock, where folks are ridiculously friendly and gracious - this particular dining experience was woefully out of place and did not belong in the same conversation or experiences of other DTLR excursions. To be fair, my server, was fine. She was courteous, professional, polite - not necessarily *warm, but efficient. It was service by the numbers: She checked-in on us regularly and made sure our cocktails were pleasing. She did not, however, ask about the *food nor did she seem interested in *engaging in polite banter with our table. In retrospect, I'm thinking she inherently knew it wasn't necessarily *great food, but thought it would be "good enough" to get by - and by hanging around and chatting too long - dinner's disappointment may be revealed. This may have been the smarter strategy because that was the best thing about the entire outing. Food arrived quickly. Food arrived hot. That, is the best thing I have to say about each of the dishes that hit our table. I have been a server in my much younger years. I don't think a server should have to bear the weight of what comes out of the kitchen - so I politely let her know I did not enjoy the calamari. I did not express my disappointment - because I never want to be directly responsible for throwing off someone's night - and COVID has already slowed the flow of business. We all need a break. But, I also need Cache to do better, much better. read more

I would love to give this place a higher rating but the atmosphere is nice and swanky and the staff were great and accommodating but the food was lacking. Ended up here on recommendation from the hotel staff and a coupon for a free appetizer so I thought I had nothing to lose! Ordered appetizer: Steak Tips - 1/5 It is VERY rare that I leave food on my plate but sadly the mixture of brown gravy, thick sauce, over salty, weirdly textured meat and soggy mushrooms just didn't do it for me. Even the blue cheese kind of melted on top and was hard to stomach. Enter ordered: Ravioli - 3/5 This wasn't half bad but for $25 I was expecting it to knock my socks off or at least kiss me before it tried to take me "upstairs" The goat cheese was SUPER squishy and the noodles were not even quite al dente which meant that unless you shoved a whole ravioli down your gullet in one go (which believe me I have been known to do on like EVERY occasion) you were getting creamy goat cheesy goodness everywhere. Oddly enough I'm not sure how the goat cheese was flavorless but it certainly was lack luster and just about the best part of the dish was the braised short rib which you got about 3 stars worth of a portion size for :) The dish was served in a very deep dish and that actually made it harder to savor and enjoy so I finished it, left the steak tips alone and asked for the check and bounced out of there! I wouldn't return but if you are looking for a place to accommodate larger groups with mediocre food and actually GREAT service (again the staff treated me very well) then this could be great for you and your team. We tried the vegan menu they released. We had the tofu, butternut squash soup and the stir fry. They were all good. The tofu was in a sesame sauce with rice broccoli. The stir fry was spicy! It had celery in it which was a little overpowering. The soup was good but has a strong coconut milk base so if that is not your thing I wouldn't get it. The waiter was great. Our experience was phenomenal! We walked in and the ambience is beautiful. Lots of bright colors and very modern. You can see into the kitchen but it's very tasteful. Our waiter was prompt, friendly, attentive and very educated on menu items. We will definitely be visiting again! It's okay. A little overpriced. Food is great. The servers aren't really trained or skilled in fine dining. Valet is just kids and they aren't very professional. The bartender was friendly, but again they just don't seem very skilled at "fine dining" which is what I think the owners are trying to achieve here. But maybe it's just a limitation on available servers in this town that actually have developed skill sets to serve at upscale establishments. They're all very nice, but just seems like I'd get the same type of service by equally skilled people at a chain restaurant off the freeway. That's my opinion. But this has been the case at most "upscale" or "fine dining" restaurants in this town. I saw a lady at Table 28 chewing gum and then told the gentleman in a tie that he could order whatever the hell he wants. Hahah. Not related to my experience at cache of course. I'm just saying - I don't think many people here understand fine dining or that it's not just the food, it's the experience and training of the staff that has to go hand in hand. I had surf and turf, meat could be cut with a butter knife and imported truffles from Italy in a pasta dish along with tiramisu for dessert. We had an awesome waiter who was very attentive to detail, wasn't overbearing, and all-around one of the best waiters we have ever had. She had an Airmail cocktail (highly recommend!), and the maple-glazed pork chop with broccolini and risotto. I had the gnocchi. It had pancetta, lump crab, parmesan, and tasted like it was in a truffle sauce. I also had a glass of sauvignon blanc. We had the chocolate cake for dessert. We were sent to Cache by the hotel concierge. They don't take Open Table but when we got there at 815 (they close at 945) they were about 25% full with open tables on the patio (that was our choice) and dining room. The hostess said we could only sit at the bar because they were "fully booked". (?). We asked if she could please seat us outside and she talked to the manager, came back, pointed to the bar and said "you can sit at the bar". So, there's that. Too bad. We left and had a fantastic meal up the street at Dizzys. I don't know if it was staffing (certainly understand that) or food shortage - or maybe just staff coaching - but she was unapologetic and didn't seem to really care. The Valet staff was much more friendly. We believe every restaurant has bad days and certainly should get another opportunity. But I'd wait a while on this one. We let the hotel that sent us there know they may want to pause and give the restaurant a chance to get a bit more customer friendly. Our hotel was excited, we were excited but Cache didn't really seem to be eager to show off some great food & service. read more

Very convenient location and they do have Valet parking as well. Named after the Cache river where the owner and head chef are from. The seating space is large and warm with large windows offering a Panoramic view. We sat upstairs and were treated to high quality live Jazz which is not too loud. I tried the Hummjs And heart fired pita with Crudité and Pappardelle (Mornay * Sweet Peas * Blackened Chicken) I also tried their 21 Day dry aged New York strip with green peppercorn sauce (for $55!, with Parmesan Pommes Frites * Truffle Aioli). For dessert I tried the bread pudding which is RICH!! Soft, sweet perfection, perfect for cold winter dinners. Couldn't finish it because it is a lot of sweetness and maybe making it a little less sweet would help bring out the other aromas and tastes a bit more. This is a great place for special occasions, not for dinner every week :/ mainly for the price. Overall the price is the only limiting factor but the food and service is high quality. Go here if you have special guests or if you are arranging work related dinners (lots of private room seating) or if you're going out for a cordial occasion. read more

Nice venue. Attended a Saturday luncheon here, so only sampled a set menu, some of which was disappointing. Might not be fair to review the place without having had other meals here, but I will review it as I experienced it. Had some bacon wrapped stuffed date appetizers, some of the best I've had anywhere, followed by a small Caesar salad and a chicken salad sandwich on what was listed as a croissant but which was hard enough to break a tooth! I overheard numerous attendees voice the same sentiment, so mine wasn't a one off. But the meal was saved by a crème brûlée which was as good as any I've had, even in France! The servers we had were excellent, in spite of the fact that they were also doing another luncheon in the next room at the same time. Ordering from their regular menu as an individual diner might yield totally different results, so I wouldn't hesitate to try them if I'm back in town in the future. read more
