The cruise was on a semi-covered boat that we spent a few hours on cruising around the bay including a trip to the well known arches. We enjoyed a couple hours at sea, and an hour parked with free swim time at a beach near the arches. We and another couple were waiting for the photographer who had taken quite a few photos and had been showing them and taking orders from everyone onboard. So what could have ended on a very positive note, ended up being a poor ending. And yes, the photographer ran up to the boardwalk area afterwards but as the marina area was now dark and most stores and bars had already closed, I wasn't going to wait around and open my wallet there. Not sure why this guy had to yell at the four of us (and we were not traveling with the other couple) rather than allow us to wait and have the same opportunity to view and purchase photos that every other guest had. An extra 5 minutes certainly would not have delayed anyone else as there were no other tours waiting. This was the Pezgato III on Sunday, Sept 6.

After researching the many sunset cruises available, reading reviews, and comparing prices, we decided on this sunset cruise with an open bar and snacks. Without a doubt, it was the greatest experience of our entire honeymoon and one of the most memorable days of my life! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff was professional, friendly, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room to move around. Safety was clearly taken seriously, and the crew explained everything we needed to know. There were ropes and handholds available, and the crew made sure everyone had opportunities to take pictures without feeling rushed. The open bar was fantastic, and the chips, salsa, and guacamole were the perfect snacks, especially since we were staying at an all-inclusive resort and had already enjoyed plenty of food. The music was at the perfect volume, the atmosphere was fun, and there was plenty of dancing and laughter. The crew navigated around the other boats to give us excellent views, and the entire experience felt well organized without ever feeling rushed or overly structured. I was even impressed to find separate restrooms for men and women aboard the boat! A huge shout-out to Tike, Kenneth, Uziel, and Esmal on the Blue Boat. Every one of you helped make this experience unforgettable. The person entertaining everyone over the microphone brought great energy to the cruise, and Captain Tike was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Captain Tike also recommended two restaurants for us to try afterward, since we were unfamiliar with the area. He suggested Salmón's and Captain Tony's, and we ended up visiting both. His recommendations were excellent, and we had fantastic food and experiences at both places. That extra bit of hospitality meant a lot to us as visitors who were still figuring out Cabo. But here's the part I'll remember for the rest of my life. As everyone was getting off the boat, our wedding's first dance song, "Por Ti Volare," accidentally started playing. My wife and I had just gotten married, and there we were, on a boat in Cabo San Lucas, during our honeymoon, hearing the very song we had shared for our first dance. The crew was cleaning up, mopping the floors, and picking up after the other passengers, but they graciously let us stay aboard for a little while and slow dance together on the now-empty boat. They didn't rush us out the door. They let us have that moment. I honestly cannot explain how much that meant to us. It was completely unexpected, incredibly romantic, and one of those beautiful coincidences that makes a special trip even more meaningful. We will never forget it. I have absolutely no affiliation with this business. I'm simply a husband who wanted to give his wife an amazing honeymoon, and this crew delivered far beyond what we expected. The boat was modern and safe, but what truly made our cruise special was the crew. They were the best bunch of guys working on a boat, and they were having a blast while doing it. The crew was efficient, courteous, thoughtful, and generous with their drinks and service. They would always come around with a tray of reposado tequila, shots, or delicious mixed drinks with rum. The music they played was outstanding, featuring a diverse mix of 80s modern rock, 90s, country, Selena, and of course, Bad Bunny. The atmosphere was lively, with a good mix of people who all seemed to enjoy the music. I couldn't help but sing along and take in the breathtaking views. As we approached the beautiful Arco de Cabo, the crew explained how the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes meet, creating rough waves and water. But it was exhilarating and not too bad at all. I didn't feel seasick or need motion sickness medicine, but those who have never been on boats might want to bring some near El Arco. Back to the crew, two of them were brothers who worked seamlessly as a team. They even offered us a delicious snack of tortilla chips, guacamole, pico de gallo, and tuna. I never thought those three things would go well together, but they did! It was the perfect amount of food to keep us satisfied while we were busy taking in the stunning views and snapping photos. The crew also offered to take several pictures whenever we needed them. I saw them capturing various groups of people and families, ensuring that everyone had a memorable moment. Overall, Cabo Blue's sunset cruise was an incredible experience that I will cherish forever. At night when the sun goes down and you're heading home, they have blue lighting on the boat and it's really cool for your pictures because they also provide shot glasses that are Glo in the dark, therefore providing the greatest pictures perfect for social media. I had so much fun that every time I come to Cabo, I will definitely take the same sunset cruise by Cabo Blue because the experience was so legendary. I also booked our tickets through Tripadvisor, which I recommend...the transaction was just a few clicks away and it was a seamless transaction. I also highly recommend getting to the dock about 20 minutes before they takeoff. We arrived due to traffic 10 minutes before the boat would leave. Amanda called me on my cell and said where are you, if you're not here within the next three minutes, we're gonna need to takeoff and another boat will take you to the other boat. That sounded frightening, but it wasn't necessary however, when we did arrive, we saw that majority of the passengers were already walking their way towards the boat our party along with another couple arrived at the same time which was before the boat took off, but I think it's not enough time therefore, when we got to the boat, we had to sit at the back of the boat, which doesn't really matter honestly there's no bad seat on the yacht. The way they drive the boat and when they stopped to enjoy the main sightseeing sections every side of the boat gets a premier view, so it won't matter. But my nerves were high when I thought we were gonna miss the boat and so I don't wish that on anyone.

Flash forward to June and I reached out to Marcos one of the owners and he helped me book a charter with them for my husband as a Father's Day gift. They helped me pick a month that wasn't in hurricane season but still peek for marlin and dorado season. They kept in contact and gave me tons of maps and details before we arrived so I was comfortable and confident we knew where to meet the boat. I booked hotel and airfair early and gave it to my Husband fully expecting him to invite up to 7 of his best friends. But to my surprise he invited me! It was the best trip I have ever had on the waters of the coral Baja! November really is a good time of year! Luis met us at the dock and finalized payment, Victoria was our captain and our deck hand whom I will just call J was absolutely amazing! Growing up fishing my husband and I are very familiar with fishing on a boat this size how ever we usually have at least two deck hands for six rods.. nope! J and victor worked in perfect harmony.. we limited out on mahi-mahi/dorado witching the first hour after leaving the port. We hit our first of three marlin within an hour after and four hours in caught a Massive keeper.. a good hour fight later we pulled it in. It was then we noticed why it was such a good fight.. during one of its many leaps into the air it shook the hook from its mouth and it hooked its sail.. because of this it had free rein to spool the line over and over again. Unfortunately it's fin was damaged badly. Our captain (and we) believe deeply in catch and release of bill fish and sail fish! However the injury we cause would mean this beauty likely wouldn't live long so we made the right choice and honored its life by stopping fishing only four hours into our day trip and turn back full speed (the 27-30 miles to port) to get this beautiful fish prepped and frozen. Minerva's had this all coordinated by the time we hit the docks and the staff picked it and or couple keeper mahi and took them back to be quickly cut into filets and packed so we could hand carry it home. We did not waist a single oz of the fish! And our friends and family will be eating marlin for most of the winter Having said that we know it's fishing and not catching.. being on the water.. watching the captain and the deck had expertly manage the lines.. watching the sun rise on the water.. the fish was a bonus! Being in that moment was worth every penny!
