Amazing fishing charter! Everyone from the agent Melissa who took my reservation to the crew in the office at the Marina in Cabo were very professional and helpful. Captain Roberto on the Big Kahuna 2 made it a memorable fishing expedition! Caught Dorado's and an 80lb Stripped Marlin that was released. Nice touch presenting me with a Catch & Release Certificate upon getting of the boat! What a great Birthday!! Highly recommend Lands End Charters!! Happy Fishing!!!!

Heading out of the harbor

We booked a half day charter on Big D and our captain/one man show was Victor. The booking process was easy and communication via chat through the website was simple and Jenny answered all my questions. It was just two of us so the boat was plenty for us. They send you lots of information in confirmation emails etc so make sure to read it thoroughly. We paid via PayPal prior to and it was simple. Tipped ~12% the day of to captain in cash. The box lunches ended up being plenty for a half day trip. There was a mini breakfast burrito and a chicken or beef burrito plus a piece of fruit, chips and snack bar in each. We grabbed a coffee from the marina market beforehand and used the bathroom there one last time. There is a small portable toilet on Big D (think a glorified bucket) but it's definitely not ideal. We ended up buying ice at the market to ice down our drinks. I was concerned from previous reviews about drinks not being on ice. Victor did end up getting one large ice block from the bait boat but it would not have done much. Fishing wise: We started off trolling really close to the shore for an hour or so and all we were catching was more skipjack that we kept for more bait. Then we went a little further out and finally saw more boats there and switched to live bait. I caught a hammerhead shark on live bait but had no other bites. About four hours in we switched back to trolling and crossed to the other side of the harbor. No luck trolling again. Gave the live bait one more chance and right after Victor said we only had about 5 mins left my husband hooked up a striped marlin. Brought it in quickly and it was a quick catch and release. I wish he would have let us bring it on the boat atleast for a quick picture (as I have now seen that they do on their Instagram etc) but it still turned what was a bust of a fishing trip into worthwhile. Overall they were a professional fishing charter and everything went smoothly. Next time I'd think I'd get a little bigger/nicer of a boat with more cabin space vs a small v berth but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful and safely released

Ok so this is one of those charters where you go out and see the Arch, cruise the end of Baja, see some turtles, rays, whales and their babies, then get skunked fishing and feed your bait to seagulls and sea lions on the way back. NOT! We did all that, but then Captain Victor and Rafael added a 120lb Marlin on our laps, and another one chasing us. Thank goodness the second wasn't hungry because neither of us had the arms for it after fighting the first one for 50 minutes (and watching it swim away safely. "Big D" is the perfect fishing boat for two people. And Victor knows what he's doing. Rafael presented a perfect boat, managed the lines, taught us technique, and worked his fingers off. Boat was spotless. We've done every kind big or small, and for a private experience for two people this could not have gone better. We are going out again mañana for Pez Gallo. Will post that and some pics then.

Pancho! The best buddy!

My family and I have used lands in charters many times and I've never been disappointed once!!! Everyone on and off the boats is always so helpful and accommodating. During our yacht experience on happy endings we had the best food, drinks, views, and laughs. We also saw dolphins and whales while watching the sunset and got a great photo of our family in front of the arch. We also have gone on fishing trips multiple times with them and they pack cold beer and lunches and take care of everything. Greg and his team are the best and I ALWAYS recommend them when someone is headed down to Cabo

Had the most disappointing Experience 03/9/21 Boat Name: "Whata Journey" 8 hours 4 Experienced fisherman Pro's - Reservation process Fish processing people Day of Meeting - Greeter Fruit bar in lunch Con's - Capt. & Mate - Spoke very little English - Communication unclear Trolling at fast rate of speed with bate above the water 3 hours disaster. Bottom fishing remaining time Captain and Mate literally fished for 40 minutes. Captain gives up his rod... later I ask in my minimal Spanish, why only (1) rod for 4 fisherman. He says, all the other rods were set up for trolling. I then ask him, what about the rod the mate is fishing with? The captain then says, ask him for it then...??? What? We had then 2 rods, and a third rod came out with a larger set up... we caught 4 Bonita in the Sea of Cortez, all small, so at least we weren't skunked. The mate wasn't helpful during the entire trip. The worst - Food and beverages, no mention of it until we asked, and there were 24 cans of Beer and Coke in a dirty cooler with a 8x 8 block of ice. No water at all. The "food" provided was in the lower cabin, unrefrigerated, and was very unappetizing. Soggy foil wrapped cooked burritos, fruit, chips, fruit bar. The head had NO water to wash your hands, no hand sanitizer. An overall very disappointing investment for a dream vacation excursion.

We booked an 8 hour trip on the Viviana II with Captain Victor. From booking online to helping us get our catch cooked and package everything was easy, pleasant. Five Stars all the way. Although my husband was disappointed it wasn't marlin season, Victor was completely honest about it and he had us on fish all day long from first thing in the morning until it was time to go back to the marina. We brought our two kids under 10 and the day was great for them as well. We will definitely be booking again with Lands End and going with Victor!!

Fighting for the fish!

This is our second charter with Lands End. The first time we caught & had a great guide, it was an inshore fishing trip also. Today we caught 6 Mahi Mahi (released 2). We booked the Big Kahuna 3 with the hopes of catching a marlin. Our host did inform us that they are a harder fish to catch sometimes so he said we could try for smaller fish at first just so we don't come back completely empty handed. We also booked this boat for the bathroom on board. It is SMALL, but does the job, we did a 5 hour charter so for me (a lady) it wasn't a big deal to visit it once during the trip. They provided ice, waters, beer and food. It's a simple lunch but honestly I wouldn't want a heavy meal out on the water. The boat did have minimal seating, it was only my husband and I so it wasn't too big of a deal but if you're traveling with more than 2-3 I would get a different boat. Martin & Marcos were our guides and helped us in our fights with the Mahi Mahi & we were happy with their service. When we come back to Cabo we will more than likely book with again, but a bigger boat for the Marlins!

Great trip, booked through Hiram Bernal who answered the phone on a holiday. Our skipper was Jose and deck mate Pepe(Viviano). We caught a 125# marlin, sea bass and rockfish. Also saw dolphins , whales and some pretty dam fat sea lions who greet you on your way home !

Striped Marlin , 98" and 130 lbs.

Marlin! Marlin! Marlin! I would highly recommend a trip with Lands End in Cabo. From Cabo Greg, to Hiram handling everything at the dock, to the incredible crews I went out with on "Viviana" and "La Duena". I was very impressed. I've been out sport fishing in Maui, Kauai, Oahu, Mazatlan, and now Cabo. Lands End is by far at the top of my list! Of course, it doesn't hurt that I caught fish, lol ! First day I got 2 Bonita and 1 Sierra with Victor aboard Viviana. I lost a striped Marlin as well, totally my fault. I was super bummed!! I decided to go out again (glad I did) , I caught 3 striped Marlin aboard La Duena with Felipe and Eduardo. They were extremely good fishermen! They helped watch/entertain my 4 yr old son as I was busy fishing. I'm extremely grateful! I kept the first one (98" and 130 lbs.) and caught and released the next 2. Hiram helped me arrange a wall mount through Gray Taxidermy and he also helped me get some of the meat smoked while in Cabo. They helped me achieve a longtime dream!!! High class charter, I would definitely recommend Lands End!

Most recently, we booked the 4-hour sunset charter on the 60' yacht, and from beginning to end, everything exceeded expectations. The experience started before we even stepped on the boat. Communication leading up to the charter was seamless, organized, and reassuring. This is a company that knows exactly how to treat their guests. Setting the menu was easy and they were happy to accommodate our requests. The boat itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully maintained. The yacht felt private and relaxed, with plenty of room to spread out, whether you wanted to lounge in the sun, sit back with a drink, or take in views from the front. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the crew. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. They anticipated every need without ever being intrusive, keeping drinks full and the energy light and enjoyable the entire time. The food and drinks were outstanding. For some in our party it was the best meal of the trip. Everything was fresh and flavorful, far beyond what you'd expect on a boat. The cocktails were excellent, and we are still dreaming about the watermelon juice. The captain positioned us perfectly to see some amazing whales and other marine animals. I saw the closest breach I've ever experienced. It feels life-changing to be so close to them. This wasn't just a boat ride, it was an experience. Relaxing, fun, beautiful, and incredibly well-executed. Without a doubt, one of those "we'll be talking about this for years" kind of memories. If you're considering a charter in Cabo, this is absolutely the one to book.

He also let the kids steer a bit which was exciting for them. Another man was our host and guide - he told us a little about the geography and history of the area and served us our food and drink. The boat was very clean, including the bathrooms. We were asked to leave our shoes in a bin at the dock and it felt fine walking around barefoot on the boat. This sail included dinner but it was more like appetizers: Chips & Guac, a plate of cheese/meats/french bread. Unlimited drinks.

I contacted them to cancel multiple times more than 24 hours in advance of our scheduled tour, but they refused to refund our money. Their refund policy states that I should get back 80%, but it's been months and I haven't received anything. They probably would have had to cancel the tour because of the weather anyway. Don't use this company!

Knowing it's a 20 minute walk from the place where the cruise ship tender drops you off to the place where the tour boats dock, we decided to scout it out the night before. The email from the company instructed us to check in at the Roger's office ("kiosko 2") to ensure we got the correctly-fitting snorkeling gear, so we went looking for the office using a map from the Roger's website and Google maps. We tried inputting the exact address from the email and asking everyone we could find at Puerto Paraiso mall, but when we went to the alleged office location, nothing was there. As a last ditch effort, on the way out of the mall, we paused and asked a random guy at a booth with ads for tours (mind you, nowhere did it say Roger's on it)! This booth was NOT located in the same spot indicated in the map on the Roger's website. However, this guy was somehow able to look up our reservation, and it was legit because he knew my name even though I never said it. He told us to just meet at the dock the next day - not to even worry about going to the "office" (wherever it may be). So that's what I would advise any future travelers to do - just go to Dock D, which isn't hard to find. Ahead of time, I had emailed the company and asked if I could add additional people to our tour and how to pay for them. I received a response indicating we would need to pay 35 per person and they could either send me a PayPal account to put the money in, or we could pay at the dock. When we got on the boat, we inquired about the two extra people and were told to pay 40 dollars. Thankfully I had the email from the company and I disputed this. I was given a roundabout explanation about how the corporate office is somewhere else in Mexico and sometimes there's miscommunication. This felt like an attempt to con more money out of us, but to their credit, they did honor the emailed price. The tour itself was great. We had Jonathan as the guide and Memo as the boat driver. Jonathan had great English skills and was knowledgeable. Our kids got to drive the boat, which had them laughing hysterically. They also dropped a couple members of our party off to snorkel in a designated spot, and the snorkel gear they provided seemed nicer than the cheap stuff we brought. At the end, they offered to drop us off closer to the cruise ship to help us avoid the 20-minute walk, but said it would be a $2 dock fee per person. We did take them up on that, as we had small kids in the party and didn't want them to have to do the walk in the hot sun. They do take pictures during the tour and offer you the chance to buy them at the end. Technically this is mentioned on the website, so it's not surprising. However, I will note that they offered us a discount on the photos at the end if we left them a review - lowering the price from 80 to 50 dollars. So, take that into account when you read other reviews. We declined. I recall when I was researching tour options that some other customers had mentioned their tours being outsourced to other people. There is definitely something odd with the "company." It presents itself on its website like a small business and frequent references are made to "our boat." But when you get to the dock, nothing says "Roger's" - no signage, no uniforms, etc. There's also more than one boat - another party was checking in at the exact same time as we were with the same people. It's almost like they've been bought out by a bigger conglomerate of tour operators. Perhaps this explains the conflicting information in some spots (i.e., the email confirmation saying to check in early at an office but a guy at a random kiosk that doesn't say Roger's on it somehow having our reservation and telling us to just go to the dock). Overall, we enjoyed the tour itself, but the issues with finding the location and being asked to pay different fees than we were quoted were off-putting.

We were picked up by a driver in a passenger van prior and dropped off after which was great since we knew we would have some cocktails on board the boat. He was great! Very nice and took good care of us. When we arrived, the driver escorted us to the Cabo Adventure center where we were met by one of the crew members and then escorted to the boat following check-in. We walked a short distance to the boat, passing by many vendors and shops who of course chased you down for sales, donations, etc. But all is good, just say no thank you and they leave you alone. We arrived to the boat and were introduced to our captain, and team. Mauricio, Manuel and Derick. All three were very nice. They catered to whatever we requested from drinks, lunch and snorkeling time. When we arrived, they shared we had a photographer taking pictures throughout the day. I was excited as I am usually the one always taking photos so it would be nice to have a photographer taking pictures of our group instead of me. And, to have professional photos would be great! I only snapped a couple of pictures as we boarded because it looked like he was taking a lot of photos of us in front of the arches, hanging on the boat, etc. throughout the afternoon. I also thought the photos were included. They are not. The boat ride was great. Drinks were great. They made cocktails for us. Snorkeling was nice. Views were beautiful. They answered our questions of the area. We have a delicious light lunch of chips and guac, pasta salad, chicken salad and fruit. The staff couldn't be nicer. The photographer is nice. When we arrived back at the center, we were directed to the "photography" area where we quickly learned our photos would be $200! I calmly said let me look at the photos because if they are really that good, I'll pay for great photos. Sadly, they were all just awful! Only 1 decent photo out of 50 or so photos and even that photo needed major editing. Shadows, weird light. We had 2 different group shots. The photos in front of the arches, the top of the arches were cut off! Who cuts off the arches? Not one good picture in front of the arches. They do NOT have professional photographers my friends. Take your own photos. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I still purchased 3 photos as I thought I could use apps to improve them and wanted a memory of our day. $100 for 3 photos. Such a disappointment. I want to give this company 3 stars because of the photo situation but the rest of the experience was great and the photo situation is obviously a personal preference. Brandon is the star of the show. Think Julie McCoy but better. He makes it his mission to ensure every single person on that boat is having the time of their life, and somehow he actually pulls it off. The day cruise includes a simple lunch with turkey, ham, or veggie sandwiches along with chips and cookies, but honestly you are not there for the food. You are there for the experience. I saw one lady with her family of 3 put a $20 in the tip jar and ask for $5 back- SHAME on her. We tipped $50 for 2 people.

This was our fourth time doing the Pezgato Jazz and Wine Sunset Cruise, it never gets old! My…read morehusband and I absolutely loooooove this cruise!!! It's become one of our favorite things to do whenever we're in Cabo. The whole experience is effortlessly magical. The views are beyond stunning. Watching the sun set over the Pacific, cruising past the famous Arch, and soaking in the warm ocean breeze is unforgettable every single time. The service is always excellent. The crew is friendly, attentive, and really makes you feel relaxed and taken care of. They're quick with the wine refills, happy to snap your photo, and somehow manage to make the whole experience feel both polished and personal. 10/10 highly recommend!
