Always an outage and the outage is long like tonight I've been out of service the whole evening. You're charging me for a landline that I don't even have. I really should rate y'all a one. I reside in Long Beach NY read more

Zero Stars. Cablevision's telephone help center has gone from bad to worse. Prior to Altice taking over, at last when you called, you spoke to a technically competent and helpful person, from LONG ISLAND, who spoke proper English. Now, Under Altice, it's a call center located off Long Island, the agents aren't nearly as helpful or technically competent, and all I've spoken to have barely understandable foreign accents. Also, when trying to help it seems like they are reading a script from a manual, if they knew what they were doing that would not be necessary. And when all fails, the recourse they offer is to drop off your box at a Cablevision office for replacement. Yes that's quite an inconvenience. Especially twice in one month. read more

Why do my premium channels keep disappearing almost DAILY requiring me to reboot my box?? And why does my WiFi turn off once or twice a week?? And why does my cable box turn itself off?? read more

Rates are high and customer service is non existent!!! I would give it less stars if I could, worst customer service in the world. read more

Cablevision/Altice/ Optimum is the absolute worst combat I have ever in my life had to deal with. How on earth is this place still in business? Zero customer service. Zero accountability. Zero service. I am absolutely appalled that I have to pay for this. If you have the opportunity to run away from them. RUN!! read more

Horrible customer service. I've heard horror stories from co-workers and friends but never really had a reason to reach out to Optimum myself. I wanted to swap out one of my boxes (I presently pay for 5) they told me they had to have a service guy come to install it and would charge me $100. I already pay $300 for about 15 years. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The gentlemen was definitely from another country because the connection was terrible and the communication between the two of us was not good. Such a shame as they used to be a local company but have gone way down hill. Definitely will be looking to switch service. read more

Terribly run company. Service is less expensive than Verizon but it's unstable. Internet constantly goes down

Cablevision is such a poor company and service. We were one of the first customers and had so many channels and movies plus a guide. Over time we lost channels and the guide as prices increased for less value. When Internet and phone arrived it worked for awhile and the past two years we get better Internet and wifi outside of our home. We are completely convinced it began when Altice arrived and we believe they are reducing reception so we will switch. Nope! Fios on out horizon soon and only for Internet. Pandemic has cured us from wanting anything from Hollywood and their entitled celebrities. read more

For some odd reason they called about mobile phone service. I am on the do not call list but also blocked the number and there is a number you can call that they have to opt out of future advertising callings but it can take up to 30 days. read more

can I do no stars????? I have literally been on the phone for 26 minutes trying to get someone and/or the chat. The 800 number, the local number...can't get a person and the computer is ridiculous!!! Fix your customer service!!! And NOW he says I can't change anything because I am not home and I need to verify a cable box....how do people who work get things done???? Ask my mothers maiden name or something like everyone else. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE TO CABLEVISION!!!!! read more

OMG .... the WORST company in the United States. There is no customer service whatsoever. I don't know how they can get away with this. read more

Had no problem better then Fios. Custo.er service was great. Service techs were helpful

As others have said Altice has ruined the support! Offshore call center people barely speak English they pretend to know what they are doing but are incompetent. Wait times are horrible. If I didn't hate Mega Monolith Verizon even more I would be gone after 30+ years. Problem is there is no other choice in my area, I would give Time Warner or Charter a shot. You can say what you want about the Dolan's but when they ran this company the techs were knowledgeable and helpful. I am an advanced user with networked TV using cable cards over my Ethernet network and can view on my Windows, Apple and Android devices. When I call I don't want to get some fool reading a support script in a third world country who doesn't know a cable card from a box. read more

Altice is the worst garbage I've ever had in my house. Do yourself a favor and skip this 1980's technology. I can't believe Cable would release something so horrible read more

I knew I was in trouble when I asked the representative to drop my red zone and he asked me what that was. Beyond horrible. Asked where they were located and they said they couldn't give me that information. This used to be a good company. I was very clear in telling them that they had no idea what they were doing. Would give stars in the negative if I could read more

I am so ready to switch back to Fios. I have internet problem every day. Got a new modem, had a tech came to the house to check everything, good for 3 hours then got interrupted again. On and off all day long. It's not helping when you work from home. read more

Horrible company. If you have a problem it's very difficult to get in touch with anyone. The telephone option prompts are very limited. You could drop dead before you reach customer service. They keep you on hold forever, then usually have to transfer you to a different department. They are rude, nasty and not helpful at all. Go with FIOS or Spectrum... read more

Customer service used to be great...they would do anything to keep you a happy customer...now they don't care about you at all and the only person you can explain your problem to doesn't speak understandable English. Sad. Switch to Verizon! read more

DO NOT GET ALTICE ONE. It is horrible. Absolutely terrible. They charge 200+ dollars a month for a system that constantly needs to be restarted. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option but to write a review you have to give at least one. It doesn't even deserve that. I "upgraded" to this system in the middle of July and have had to call optimum at least 12 times for issues with this system. In bad weather we lose all the channels and it takes days to come backs. They claim this is the best service around but for that to be true it would have to actually work more than two days a week. I would not recommend to a friend because it's that terrible. read more

I suppose they're ok. Wait times on the phone if you need repair or service can take half your lifetime, but I'm sure all TV/internet providers are like that. Often, when trying to retrieve a recording from the DVR, it's pixellated beyond any ability to watch the recording. Then, you'll be on hold with some really awful music playing, and many interruptions of the really awful music by a recorded voice telling you all the wonderful things about Cablevision. I liked FiOs much better, but the Optimum DVR holds more stuff. FiOs only holds 15 things, and can only record 2 things at the same time, and you can't watch live TV. Optimum has more storage because it's a cloud system and not a hard drive. Optimum SHOULD be better...but if the recordings seldom work that are on the DVR, what's the point? If they ever pick up the phone (I'm on terminal hold) and satisfy my problem, you can take this harsh review with a grain of salt. read more
