Concrete blocks with names written in marker and smells of a musty basement, but the wine flows and the entertainment is like no other. The wine likely is whatever is on sale at Walmart, but I promise it doesn't matter. The bartender, Trina, will make sure you have one hell of a time. She may sit at the piano and play a little song, tell some jokes, or pose you for photo shoots. I've been a couple times now and it's always a great time! If you're in the area, it's a must stop at place!

I don't even know if we got her real name. You get a wine glass and 5 tastes for $12. I think I ended up trying 7 because there were I few I didn't like so she switched them out which was really nice. They do not make any wines themselves. You are just trying various wines which at first was a bummer but it was nice to try some new ones I hadn't had before. We had 2 dry wine people and 2 sweet wine people and they had a lot for us to try. This place is downstairs from an Inn. It's a little dark as it's the basement but once you get used to it it's not bad. You feel like you are in a wine cellar. The only bad thing is there's no restroom. I don't know how or why but there really isn't one you can use. Not fun when you are drinking but luckily the courthouse had theirs open.

There were cozy robes that we all put on and then we gathered in the kitchen to enjoy snacks and wine we brought. The rooms and common spaces are beautiful, clean and very cozy. This b&b is also in the PERFECT location, as it's in walking distance of one of Indy's coolest streets, Mass Ave. There are a ton of restaurants, bars, local shops, a new food hall, coffee shops and more that you'll have direct access to without needing to drive. It's a safe area and there's even a wonderful restaurant across the street. The owner here is also amazing and so wonderful to work with. There's also street parking out front. I did four stars because I shared a room with someone else and ended up in a twin bed that was pretty hard. That could be easily fixed with a padded mattress topper to prevent from soreness the next day. Bonus: They also have cooking classes here that I've heard are wonderful!

We arrived early, prior to checkin and were allowed to put our luggage in the room! The location is perfect for shopping, dining, and nightlife! It was quiet, except for the laughing coming from our suite! This will be an annual stay for us girls!

I'm already searching for an excuse to come back to Indianapolis so I can visit this beautiful…read morehouse again! My friend and I were in Indianapolis for a mutual friend's wedding, and we decided to stay at this bed and breakfast because it wasn't much more expensive than the hotel rooms we were looking at (where we would have to share a bed), and the reviews were phenomenal. We were both completely delighted with the place, and within minutes of being welcomed into the house by Debra were ready to move in permanently! I can't say much for the other rooms as we did not see them and I am of the understanding that they are all different, but we stayed in the Garden Room and it was fantastic. There are two rooms, a living area (with a sofa bed) and the bedroom, which has an incredible spa bath with jets... a.k.a. my personal paradise. Also included in the bath area are battery operated candles for ambiance and bath salts. I definitely took advantage of the bath salts. If you are staying in the Garden Room, definitely allot some time in your schedule to take a wonderful, relaxing bath. The room was great, but the experience itself was also unique and lovely. Each day you fill out a breakfast card for the next morning, indicating what time you would like to eat breakfast and any dietary preferences members of your party might have. The next morning, if you have turned in your card, you will be served a freshly cooked breakfast according to your preferences, alongside the other items (cereal, oatmeal, fruit, etc) which are still available to you if you neglected to turn in your breakfast card. There is also a little Keurig bar stocked with K cups available for you to brew. On the second floor is a sun room with comfortable chairs you are welcome to use to hang out in if you wish. In the same room is a shelf full of DVDs available for you to borrow and watch in your room. There is also a chest with snacks available to take such as Cheez-Its, Chex Mix, and Teddy Grahams. Soda cans are also available to take back to your room. On our last evening at the Harney House, we had a movie night in the room with some of these snacks. There was also a popcorn packet available in the room, on top of the microwave and mini fridge. As I discussed with Debra, the owner, bed and breakfasts really aren't for everyone... It's a different experience entirely from staying at a hotel and, in my opinion, it's just better. But if you want your basic, sterile hotel experience, this is not it. Debra and her family run an amazing business here, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We went away for the weekend for our dating anniversary of six years, and during that time we got engaged! Hooray! Anyway, we stayed in the Garden Room. It was amazing! The bed was super comfy. The spa tub was great. We watched a movie or two from their selection and snacked on some of the soda and treats that were provided in the common area. The area is great in general with lots to do, and it's just a short walk away from Massachusetts Avenue, a great street with a bunch of little shops and restaurants. The only thing that was even remotely out of perfection was the size of the shower. It was a pretty cramped, but if anything, it will be a funny memory of fumbling around like a doofus. Not a complaint, just an observation. :) Also, the towels made up for it! They were super plushy and soft. Breakfast was great, too! Sausage, eggs, some kind of apple coffe cake thing (I could have eaten the entire loaf), fruit, yogurt, a Keurig with a large variety of coffees and teas, cereal, toast, etc. All-in-all we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Thank
