To begin with the cabinets were ordered and paid for in full in June of 2021, I even paid for one of their recommended professionals to come out and measure my kitchen to make sure that everything was correct. They sent me an upper cabinet in place of a lower cabinet and I was told that we would need to build a base for it, while this may seem like a perfect solution to them, the cabinet they sent was 3 inches too small, Cabinets To Go graciously charged me another $360 dollars for the correct bottom cabinet and to fix their error they allowed me to keep the incorrect one. This entire time the final cabinet has been on back order and it just finally arrived, however we need two filler boards in order to install it properly and for it to be aesthetically correct. Cabinets To Go has again graciously offered to sell me two one inch wide boards for a total of $99. At what point do they accept responsibility for their errors, I sincerely hope it is soon. read more

There are a lot of con artist, contractors, and people that will rip you off and treat you like crap ......Customer service in this company is nonexistent, especially with the Bergen county location, the person who I gave my cabinet measurements to over estimated the materials when I told the manager Mike about it he said he could pick up the excess materials but he would charge me $250. I then told him that this was not my fault and I shouldn't have to pay for shipping..... is this went on for a ridiculous couple of months... As a first time Home Owner the thrill is gone, thanks to this place. The Showcase they presented was exciting but not accurate. I have cabinets that are not functional, scratched up and not size to fit. Customer Service is not available unless you visit the store. After a month of numerous Calls and Visits to store the Supervisor Shaun finally called me from a phone with a Bad Connection, All I could really understand was Kiana, the store manager is going to call me with a solution. Still waiting on callback. I do not recommend this headache to Anyone. GO SOMEWHERE ELES FOR PEACE OF MIND! We made a mistake by ordering a bathroom cabinet too early in our bathroom remake project. We paid for it in full before telling our contractor about our purchase. Our contractor told us he was not sure if the cabinet would fit after he moved walls and plumbing and suggested we cancel the order. We contacted Pascal, the Freeport Cabinets to go manager and he understood our problem and quickly cancelled the order before it was shipped. I brought my cabinets from the Cabinets To Go in Freeport in May 2021. Cabinets, flooring and backsplash were installed in August/September 2021 using their installer. the tile installation was terrible and I actually got my money back for it. If had issues with a drawer after their installer put in a side panel and paint is chipping off even though we are careful with the cabinets. Customer service wants to give me a touch up pen. I haven't even had cabinets for a year. Obviously the quality is poor. read more

They refused to assist you after you paid for their products and refused to accept responsibility for their actions. The store manager appears to have no authority other than to take calls and provide a political answer to one's concern. The manager and sales rep are the company's minions. If you have a problem with one of the items, they advise you to contact customer service. After that, you call customer service. They want pics and then take their sweet time making a replacement. The level of patience and knowledge this gentleman has and puts forth is a breath of fresh air in todays hostile and unpredictable climate!!! There is no way that we could have done this without him. During an in person session Pascal sat with us and showed additional mock ups on top of those sent via email. He showed us various options in person to help us see our cabinetry vision come to life. The absolute worst experience I've had with a company. The previous owner of our house unfortunately used Cabinets to Go for the kitchen remodel. He told us we would receive 2 shelves for one of the cabinets any day. 7 months later. Nothing. And of course, cabinets to go can't find the order. How convenient. And to order again? It would take 6 months. FOR A WOODEN SHELF. I wouldn't trust them to fulfill this order anyway. We wanted to add a matching island and had no choice but to go back to cabinets to go. We were quoted 4-6 weeks and the cabinets came in well after. Communication is terrible. Oh and whenever we went in to the store, no one greeted us or asked us if we needed help. Getting them to answer questions was like pulling teeth. It's like THEY were doing US a favor by talking to us. I would rather pay double price than ever work with Cabinets To Go again. Ko had a perfect review. Customer service terrible. Christine is useless, Qianna at least is somewhat helpful, just works for a bad company. I even brought up all the bad reviews and they said that was the past they have a new distribution system and everything is much better now... That's a lie waited months for cabinets just like everyone else. Cabinets themselves are nice but we're assembled horribly by cabinets to go. Many didn't come soft close, hinges weren't aligned properly so gaps when the cabinets were closed. Back to Christine, I would call and I asked her a question and she read like a script about my cabinets on backorder so halfway through the conversation I said do you know who this is? she had no idea. Then I got to the point where I just said have Qianna call me, unless I actually got Qianna on the phone she never received the message from Christine. Was short one panel and ordered an extra of another and I know the Rediculous 25% restocking fee but they wouldn't even take back the panel bc I didn't have the original box. I spend thousands of dollars and you won't give me back $70 (forgot exact price) for a panel. I have a 2 family and will be redoing the other kitchen next year and will definitely pay more and go somewhere with better service. read more

Cabinets to go is an amazing opportunity. First I will start with my local story and how awesome Quiana is to work with! (please excuse me if I spelt her name incorrectly) She was incredibly patient with us and took the time to answer every question in person, on the phone and even email. I think my wife and I made 3 visits to her before we actually committed to their product. She was professional the whole way through and used her expertise to guide us to the right decisions for us. As far as the actual product goes, don't be scared. I had concerns and worries that assembling each cabinet would give me IKEA PTSD with parts everywhere. These cabinets honestly do go together fairly quickly and they are quality. I am very detail oriented with everything being level and symmetrical and they all came together correctly. One piece was damaged in transit and they are sending me a replacement immediately. I would suggest this place to anyone interested in remodeling their kitchen for quality and price. I never write reviews but this place was so horrific, I feel I have an obligation to let anyone know who is thinking of using them. Once they were paid in full, which they were upfront, they completely left me high and dry. The cabinets were installed by a butcher. Once done, they came back 3 mo. later to make some corrections, but some corrections could not even be made at all. I am still waiting 1.5 years later for them to correct the moulding. There are nails showing EVERYWHERE! It is so disheartening to think a business could take advantage of someone and be completely uncaring about correcting shoddy work. I have to call several times, leave messages that are never returned and if you're lucky enough to get someone to pick up the phone, they just yes you to death. DO NOT. I repeat do not buy your countertops from Cabinets to Go. My kitchen renovation has been set back over 4 weeks because of the back and forth between my countertop delivery. When you call the store at Cabinets to Go, they are nice, but they don't have authority over assisting much with your order. I was instructed to call the 1-800 customer service line and I spoke with someone from corporate, who then has to email someone to call to get in touch with me. Over the past few weeks as I've had issues with their countertops, not one person from Cabinets to Go has called me from their corporate office. I spent thousands of dollars and no one can even pick up the phone. I had my countertops installed and they ended bringing me multiple countertop slabs so I basically had a line "seam" going down the middle of my island. They use their countertops through CounterTech Industries. - I usually don't do reviews, but as an interior designer I'm recommending you to not use this company for you or your clients. As weeks have passed, I finally had someone from the store speak with a higher level executive and he said all they will do is give me 50% back and not a full refund and he is getting on a flight so he will call me. I've been told for over 4 weeks that he will call me from multiple people and NOT once has even called or helped me rectify this issue. I think this is so sad when you spend over $5,000 between countertops and cabinets and no one help you get this solved. I must say this... I was a little hesitate about Cabimeys to Go due to thier low review score in Freeport. However, I decided to take a chance and walked in. Melissa Liautaud welcomed me and offered her assistance. B4 I walked in this place I had received a quote from Home Depot & Cabinets.com so I was prepared for the sales pitch and not to be wowed. She came from a different angle and gave me a different design which was out of the box. I tried not to show my smile when she put the design on the big tv on the wall. My smile was hidden behind my face mask. (Figured it would help me negotiate the price). Then she comes with a price that was 20% less than Home Depot and 15% less than cabinets to go. BTW I got more cabinet and countertop space for my dollar. At this point Melissa could see it. It was all in my eyes. Finally, no more lazy crappy designs I could do myself. Rather, a design that you can instally tell Melissa was nothing short of an expert in her field. She had made my day. I didn't waste time. My wife and I love the plans and we purchased the cabinets 2 days later. She followed up made sure delivery was on time. My wife and I are so happy we used Cabinets to Go in Freeport. Melissa made our dream kitchen a reality. Any store can provide a product to sell. But the ability to grab a clients business for future projects takes a special type of skill. A skill that not only reinforce trust in a product, but belief in the system itself. This system which relates down to me is customer service, and Cabinets to Go showed me their customer service is nothing less than amazing. I will recommend cabinets to Go to my family, friends, and clients at my business. Gnorae, the manager was super helpful and went above and beyond to help with the initial design and the subsequent redesigns and adjustments as we changed our minds. I would stay away from this location. Customer service is absolutely horrible. We made a large purchase with the assistance of William, who we never heard from again since we made the purchase. Since Cabinets To Go is commission based, once we purchased the cabinets there was no need for any customer assistance following the purchase regardless of how many times we called. We had our cabinets delivered and our contractor had begun work when we discovered two cabinets were the wrong style. We called and followed up with William ( who never returned our call), delaying our contractor's work ( since he had an outside party building these cabinets). Finally, we had another representative assist us and reorder the correct cabinets, upon delivery.. they were wrong again. So once again, the contractor had to delay work. After following up with this representative ( Gnore- still no call from Will) she discovered there was a manufacturing issue and when it was resolved they will provide us with replacement cabinets. Again, remodeling was delayed, not including the cabinets we did receive having damage. Now we arrive at the matter of the hardware (knobs), Will had claimed to have included that in our original purchase ( Because who would not include knobs on a cabinet order ?), we go into the store to choose our knobs ( since Will suggested no rush on choosing knobs but rather waiting for some of the remodeling to be completed to gather a better styling idea).. we choose the knobs, of course with Gnore, and then discovered we are asked to pay $300 for the knobs.. which Will claimed was included. So here we are again, delayed, due to not only this Company's lies but also unprofessionalism. Sadly, Gnore has been the only assistance we received and she did not receive the commission! The store manager, Mike McGrath , claims he cannot give out "free" items but permits his employees to represent the business falsely offering customers deals while ignoring them afterwards. The product after it finally arrived 3 months past the 1 month arrival time. Yes that is 4 months I waited for cabinets. Where pretty decent. The assembly was super easy. They are strongly built if assembled properly. Their customer service STINKSSSS. Calling the 800 number is like calling a message center. They really have no idea when or where the products would arrive. The sales guys are very good at designing the layouts, and great at SELLING you the proper items. The are clueless about when items are due to arrive, or why the delay takes so long. When you go to talk to them in person. Get ready to deal with people who are practically clueless. And heaven forbid you have to talk to the lady in the office who answers the phones and orders the cabinets. She needs to be re educated on proper customer service. If she answers the phone just hang up and call again. One of the sales guys will eventually answer it. So after is all said and done. It took them 2 months to deliver to the store a panel that I was shorted, and an edging. I had to go pick it up. Even though they shorted ME. If something breaks, it will take at least 4 months to get a replacement. I have already embraced the pain that I eventually will have to face. The best advice I can give is the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Call them every day until you get results. Also, demand a discount for your inconvenience. They will give it to you. read more

Ordered cabinets and a counter top. The assemble-it-yourself cabinets in boxes, arrived on time, but there were items missing. Called the store, said they would call back but never did. Many calls were made over a 3 week period, then some items were delivered without receiving a return call. When it came to the counter top, the person who was to measure the cabinets never showed. When we called them, they claimed that the they could not physically find or reach us, so they charged us $163.00 for the home visit. We cancelled the counter top and went with a local guy who did a great job in less then a week. Deal with this company at your own risk, I would not recommend them. read more

I am a particular fan of the Freeport location. I ordered cabinets and there were delays getting my kitchen done. I had to leave the cabinets in the boxes for 8 months. When my contractor started to assemble the cabinets, there were two that was the wrong color. When I called customer service, they discontinued Soho Oak and since the 42 boxes weren't opened and inspected within 30 days, there was nothing they could do. I called the Freeport store and the manager Qiana personally took care of the problem. She was on the phone and made sure everything was made right one way or another. I highly recommend this particular location. Qiana and the entire staff are friendly, courteous and make sure you are satisfied!!! read more

The price and quality were not to be beat. Our installers were professional and did a great job. I took away three stars due to the horrible customer service if you would even call it that. The "manager" is never ever present at the store or available by phone and when you call the store the majority of the time nobody answers the phone. There were too many screw ups to even bother mentioning. I would recommend cabinets to go for good quality and great prices however I would try the New Jersey location and think it would be well worth the hour drive each way just not to deal with the incompetence at the Freeport location. It really is a shame that the Freeport location is a flop due to the 2 people who work there. Corporate really needs to consider cleaning house. read more

The cabinets are very pretty in showroom, however they are feivered with various damages and their customer service is horrible. They made little attempts to you correct the issue. I paid top dollar for what i was told was high quality cabinets. I received damaged cabinets and failed to stand by their product. We waited 10 months for a cabinet, continually postponed from May 2014, eventually told it was due January 2016! One day I discovered my 50% deposit returned to my bank account. Looking for a certain style, we were foolish enough to buy from them again. This time the granite top was bleeding black dye that is used to darken the stone to make it appear more valuable: Drove to NJ from LI on a Saturday to pick it up. It was unboxed on Friday night when we called about it from the store and was unboxed and on the floor on Saturday. They put back in the box and I took it home. Installing the backsplash, I wiped the back edge of the top with solvent to improve the adhesion and the paper towel came up with a jet black deposit on it. The stone underneath was gray. After calling the company I was referred to Ove, the manufacturer. Ove said it was a wax they apply and sent me a refinish kit. I have never seen a granite top with a finish applied to it. I spoke to Sara Valencia at CTG initially and she said they would take a return with no charge back to us. Today Sara Valencia called me to tell me that because it was out of the box and on the floor, it was considered "As Is" and they would not accept a return under any conditions! Totally disgusted with these people. The cabinets are decent looking for the price however like many others we were never told that they come unassembled. The "sales manager", John Valentine is extremely rude and unprofessional. Never made any mention of this, actually he barely acknowledged us. It was the worst experience I have ever had. Funny how all they mention on their website is customer satisfaction guaranteed. He treated us like we were bothering him by ordering cabinets and to boot this guy ordered the wrong sized cabinets and wasn't even apologetic. Our contractor had another job to do and couldn't wait for the issue to be resolved (can't blame him) so we were left with an unfinished kitchen while we had to call every day to customer service which is another joke in itself just to get the correct cabinets. Finally received them and they were damaged. Made a complaint and was told that the regional manager would call....3 weeks later, still nothing. Just goes to show how much they care about their customers and products. Buyer beware, spend a little extra and bring your business elsewhere.
