Cute little gift shop- it reminds me of all the things my 70 year old grandmother would love- kitschy is the term I think. Prices are about what you would expect. They did a really great job decorating for Halloween and it was really adorable just to stop by and walk around. This store is a regular stop whenever I am in Maggie Valley. It's a lovely store with so many gift, clothing and seasonal items. They have a fabulous Christmas selection as well. Everything I have purchased here has been very good quality. I have always gotten friendly and courteous service from employees. The shop is clean and welcoming. Highly Don't recommend this place the owner of 30 years called me a BIT_ _ then told me to get the Hell out of his store!! Rude all because I asked him to wait while I opened my phone with face recognition to pay with Apple Pay !! I will gladly spend my tourist money somewhere else!! read more

After much detailed talks back and forth with one of the owners regarding possibly selling my original design artwork the store decided to pass on working with me. No problem. The problem was when, two months later, I see them marketing their version of what I designed, with no mention of me or my design-basically passing it off as their own. Nothing illegal was done here, but extremely unethical. Please beware if you decide on trying to sell your product here as they have definitely lost my trust! It is truly a shame as I was never even given a reason as to why they passed, but now I know. read more

I visit Maggie Valley several times a year and make sure I visit the Cabbage Rose each time. I have purchased items all the times I have visited. All the employees are extremely helpful and nice . I have been reading reviews others have posted for Cabbage Rose; the ones posting these reviews probably are not telling all of their experience they are having in the store. I do recommend going to shop in the store. Will be visiting very soon. read more

I usually end up here on our annual trip to the area; this year was no exception. I had to dress up for an event and rethought the dress I'd packed. I'd had good luck in Cabbage Rose before and thought I could find something perfect. I bought three sleeveless tops with long floral tunic-like things that went over them in pink, blue, and green. They were so pretty and flattering I couldn't resist having them all. While floral isn't my usual style, it's nice for a summery change. This shop has much more than just clothes, there's jewelry, bags, house items galore, toiletries that provide an extra bonus: when I got back to the hotel with my new things, they all carried the lovely scent of the Cabbage Rose! read more

I was asked to leave this store. We own multiple vacation rentals in the area and I inquired as to if I purchased soaps in bulk (200+) could there be a discount. The lovely sales lady said I'd have to inquire with the owner. When I did he started a garbled rant at me, something about "Would Walmart give you a discount? Maybe you should go to Walmart, we're a small business, go to Walmart...." I told him we were leaving and we would not come back and maybe I'd stop by the Chamber. He responded with, "We HATE the chamber!" He followed us out, ranting about Walmart! As we drive off he was taking photos of us! It was quite ridiculous and I'm bummed I can't get those soaps but I will find them somewhere else and give them the business. We won't go back to Cabbage Rose. read more

Whenever my family and I visit Maggie Valley, we are always sure to stop in Cabbage Rose and check out their gorgeous selection and pull some tips and take some mental notes on decorating. We always come around Thanksgiving time when CR has their Christmas decorations out and it is like walking through a winter wonderland. I LOVE CABBAGE ROSE! It is a fabulous HUGE "boutique" style store, with so many unusual and wonderful brands, many that were new to me: clothing, home décor, jewelry, gifts, etc. I found some incredible soaps and other scented household items brands that I had never heard of. Purchased a BUNCH while we were on vacation in Maggie Valley, and also some beautiful scarves, earrings, and kitchen tools. The Christmas store is lovely. My friends purchased much more than I did; we had to make several trips to the ATM while in Maggie, so that one of our friends could revisit Cabbage Rose daily, and accrue many gift items to store for Christmas season. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable, and displays are beautifully designed and uplifting. The store smells terrific, too! read more

This is a must stop by place when you're in Maggie Valley. The owners and employees are so friendly. You could spend over an hour browsing their fantastically eclectic selection. So much fun. Had a wonderful day today with my 23 year old girls shopping at Cabbage Rose! Located right next to the fairgrounds, the location is convenient, and Scott was so friendly and helpful. The Christmas part of the store is absolutely incredible - one of the nicest I've seen in the Carolinas. We ended up buying clothes, jewelry, and adorable slippers. We could have spent hours in there. Everything was unique, and reasonably priced compared to other local stores. I can't wait for my next visit !! read more
