Who has never seen a Pink brontosaurus?

As you drive east towards Palm Springs or going west as you past Cabazon you must pull off the 10 fwy and park in the parking area for a look at these life size Dinosaurs! And yes you can walk up the stairs and go inside ( they might change a fee for that) but there's no fee to park or walk or touch! If you have kids this is a must! Take some pics and send them to your friends!

I loved the video game movie with Fred Savage "The Wizard" growing up and these dinosaurs play an iconic role in that movie as well as in the Pee Wee movie. I had no idea where these were but saw them along the 10 on the way to Palm Springs and we decided to pull over. A lot of the businesses at this exit and parking lot have shut down but the dinosaurs are still going strong. A testament to how much they stand out from they freeway and they do try to change it up by occasionally painting them in different colors. When we went both were painted in holiday color themes. You can go into "Dinny" the Brontosaurus where they have a gift shop inside filled with dinosaur themed gifts and souvenirs. Perfect for young children still in the dinosaur loving phase. The Trex you can climb all the way up to the mouth and there is more to see behind the Trex gates but it costs money and we were pressed for time so we skipped it.

Fun little pit stop on the way back home. I didn't pay the $15 to get in, but the two massive dinosaurs outside the place was fun enough to take pictures with.

A cute pitstop to make for the carsick dogs. The area is a nice photo op area with ample free parking. It does get extremely hot during the summer time so not great for walking dogs. I was surprised by how busy it was given the time of the day and the week. Hoping to visit when I am in transit so I can take pictures with the pooches the next time around!

An absolute must-see iconic roadside attraction if you're cruising down I-10. We made a stop at Cabazon Dinosaurs during our family road trip from California to West Virginia, and it was one of those unexpected highlights that made the whole journey feel extra fun. I mean, come on--who doesn't love dinosaurs?! Whether you're a kid obsessed with T. Rex or an adult who remembers Pee-wee's Big Adventure, this place is a nostalgic, quirky, and oddly charming experience for all ages. Admission is $15 for adults and $13 for kids, which gets you access to the full outdoor dinosaur trail, where you can walk among life-size dinos, snap a million photos, and even climb up inside the massive Apatosaurus, which--plot twist--houses a gift shop in its belly. Yes, you literally walk inside a dinosaur to buy dino merch. How cool is that? They've also added seasonal themes throughout the year (Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.), so depending on when you visit, you might see dinos dressed up in costumes or surrounded by themed displays. There's a great mix of vintage charm and kid-friendly fun--plus, it's an excellent place to stretch your legs, take some silly photos, and soak up some classic roadside Americana. Roar-some fun for the whole fam.

I always stop off at the Cabazon Dinosaurs each time I'm headed out to the Coachella Valley, which is every year. The cool part is they change the dinosaurs up for holidays such as Valentines, Easter, and Christmas. I was there a week ago and these are the most recent dinosaurs. Go early (the earlier the better) if you want selfies and videos without OTHERS in your pictures. People forget to move it along after they are done with their photos, and that others may not want their loved ones in YOUR photos. Other than that, it's a cool place to visit with plenty of parking. Also, it's always windy there so don't forget shorts under your dress or skirt, when you go. I always forget!

My boyfriend and I always go to Palm Springs which this happens to be on the way. Each time we pass it, I really want to go but we never have the time. This weekend was my birthday weekend and we spent it in Palm Springs. On the way home we planned to go to the Cabazon outlets so we HAD to make a stop here. It wasn't too busy but these dinosaurs were huge. We took some pics of them and even went into the gift shop which is located in the pink dinosaur. We bought a magnet to add to our travel collection. It was a super cool stop which I highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

This is one of those roadside attractions I like to add-on to my itineraries when I make them for our traveling days. They have a entry fee for the back of the museum and you can buy things in the gift shop upstairs, but we didn't do either. I didn't want to go to the gift shop and we actually didn't even have any time to spend there, although even if we did, I would not pay for the attractions because it would've been about seventy dollars ($70!!) for a quick roadside attraction, which, in my opinion is too much. $15 adults and $12 for the kids. It is, however, a fun place to stop by with kids to see the giant dinosaurs and take pictures with. It is extremely hot outside, and there was no shade anywhere, so I would not suggest spending more than twenty minutes walking around. Definitely worth a stop!

This is a fun, quick stop to do at least once in your lifetime if you find yourself driving through Southern California near Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, or the Coachella Valley in general, especially with kids. Being a SoCal native and visiting often, I drive past this roadside attraction and iconic Californian pop culture landmark frequently. I always grab a date shake at Hadley's next door afterwards. I've never paid to go in and see the rest of the dinosaurs. The two main dinosaurs, Dinny the Dinosaur and Mr. Rex, are enough of a thrill for me. If you've ever watched "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" these are the Dinos featured for a bit on his adventure. You can climb up the stairs at the rear of the apatosaurus to enter a cute little gift shop in the Dino's belly. Such a fun part of California camp history and a great free activity, stretching the legs before continuing on with the road trip. Large free parking lot available.

A quick, free and fun picture stop on the drive to or from Cali. We made a pit stop for a few pictures and if you have a dinosaur lover in your family these are massive and just neat to look! Loved the quick stop.

I can't believe I've never been here before it's so fun!!!! Some of the Dino's needed a little tlc but it was a blast nonetheless. I went in the big dino and I can't be sure but I think the couple up there before us did something sexual... very nice bathrooms and great staff. I felt very American. I do think I mainly liked it because I was with fun company though. If the people you're with are lame don't go.

    Sunil R.

It's super kitschy and low-tech, but it's still loads of fun if you go with an open mind and low expectations. I am not a dinosaur aficionado, so I learned quite a few fun facts. Make sure to climb to the top of the T-Rex and roar to scare (make them laugh really) the people outside. The gift shop was unique and fun. They had dinosaur bones, etc., which made for good gifts.

You can climb in him up to his mouth

Ask the Community - Cabazon Dinosaurs

Are the restarants inside the exhibit?

No, there is only a small gift shop.

How long to plan to be here with 3,4 & 8 year olds?

Just take photos , probably 10 mins is enough

    Are you open thanksgiving?

Is the dinosaur waffle ice cream treats only available on weekends?

Do they accept credit card for ticket purchase?

    Yes!

What is the minimum age requirement to wear a mask?

    3 years I believe statewide

How much is parking? Is there enough parking for an RV?

Parking is free. I don't know about the RV situation

How busy is it on the weekdays? Any suggestions for the least busy time to visit? (I am pregnant and immunocompromised so want to be careful but have a Dino-obsessed toddler who would have a blast!)

What is there to do besides looking at fake dinosaurs? I'm not trying to be factious. Just want to know for kids 3 and 7.

That's about it, kids love it. There's a area where kids can dig (sand) for "fossils" & return then to the store for trinkets. A lot of animatronic dinosaurs, go inside the dinosaurs to look out of T-rex mouth. Not an amusement park, just a place… Read more

    Are there bathrooms on site?

Not on the outside next to the two giant dinos. You'd have to go into the dinosaur park, or use a fast food restaurant's.

About how much time does the average person spend here?

We did the tour & went inside both dinos. About an hour with 3 kids & participated in all the events.

Even though someone asked 10 months ago, things could have changed...so it is still owned by creationists?

Based on items for sale inside the gift shop inside the dinosaur, I believe it is.

    Open on christmas day?

Not sure about the museum itself or the gift shop inside "Dinny" but the area with the two large Dino's is open access 24/7 for photos and walking around. Hope that helps, and safe travels along the 10!

Jas anyone actually gone inside the museum? Is it worth paying $48 For family of 4? We're driving by but not sire if we should go inside museum.

I have and it is NOT worth the money. This is not educational. It's put on by religious nutjobs who just want to preach to you. The displays are literally toy dinosaurs. You could create a better "museum" in your backyard with inflatable pool toys… Read more

Does the admission price apply to go insode the trex?

    Yes!

Hi there! If you have gone recently, what is the temperature like? I'm sure it's hot, but is it unbearably hot? And are there places to cool off? Thanks :)

Ridiculously hot!!!!!!!! But really you'll be there for very little time. It's a cool pit stop. Stretch break at best. But it's really cool to check out. Umbrella helps

    Is this place dog friendly?

When we went with our pup some odd months back it was dog friendly (leashed, well mannered dogs). Admission to Mr. Rex’s Dinosaur Adventure includes an outdoor dinosaur exhibit walk through that dogs are allowed to go on. Dogs are not allowed in… Read more

Also, even though their snack bar menu's very simple, their hot dogs and popcorn's great! The only complaint I really have (other than having to make the long walk to the alley theater (reserved for movies that are on their way out), would be that I hope they fixed their AC inside since I saw Spider-Man a few weeks ago. Let's not beat around the bush: For those who don't already know, Beaumont is getting a 10-12 screen (luxury?) theater; whether or not it's going to hurt the Fox in the long-run will depend on whether or not they try and do things that will set themselves apart from that new theater coming next year. The Fox's low prices are already a great pro for them, but it's going to be a bit difficult because most movies (unless they're super popular) only last a week here. My suggestion would be to perhaps occasionally have screenings for old-school movies in one of the theaters, or maybe host a small film festival for local filmmakers. It would give the Fox a sense of community for Banning/Beaumont, and I think it would keep people coming to this place, long after CinemaWest opens. In other words, be different from the bigger/nicer theater, instead of competing directly against it.
