Tripcentral.ca lacks accountability and takes zero responsibility for any issues that may arise…read moreafter booking through them. They like to side-step the issues and play the blame game. Once they have your money, they feel no obligation to ensure customer satisfaction. This is true even in cases when something occurs that is not the fault of the traveler whatsoever. My friend and I were overbooked and tripcentral did nothing to fight for us against the tour operator to get us options that were fair and reasonable. Instead, they hid behind the general message of, "we are just the middleman", and proceeded to actually yell at us, speak condescendingly towards us, and even place us on hold mid-sentence when all we were trying to do was resolve an issue that was caused as a result of the incompetence of both tripcentral and the tour operator. The options they presented to us after overbooking us and not notifying us until weeks later were: 1) relocate to a resort of their choosing (and receive a complimentary stay at the original resort in the future minus flight costs) *** but the resort of their choosing was nonnegotiable, which made no sense since the free accommodation was offered to us by the original resort we had booked as compensation for inconveniencing us. So we should have been able to book another resort of OUR choosing (and pay the difference in costs) AND get the 7 nights stay, but trip central and the tour operator refused to budge and insisted that if we want the 7 nights stay offered by the resort, we had to go to the other resort they had chosen for us. Complete BS! We researched the other resort and realized it was isolated, newly opened (meaning lots of operational issues are to be expected), the beach has TONS of seaweed, and it is filled with seniors. Not our scene at all! 2) rebook another trip at today's rates (not rates backdated to original booking date - which resulted in costs of more than $150 per person for resorts we wanted) 3) full refund They screwed up and we had to pay the price. Neither tripcentral nor the tour operator lost a single thing. We lost our money for a few weeks, we lost ample time which resulted in other resorts getting booked up, and we lost more time trying to get them to amend option 1 to be fair and reasonable. But to no avail. Thieves. Con artists. I'm not sure why they even exist since everyone can book directly through tour operators and pay the same, if not less. Tripcentral appears to be nothing more than an added step through which they gain a commission and offer you - the patron - absolutely nothing. Never again. No accountability, no respect, no follow-up, and no fight to protect their customer's loyalty. I asked 3 different individuals to call me by today, and no one has. What a surprise! This post is just the beginning, tripcentral. The media world is going to be hearing about this nonsense until someone publishes the story and gives you the attention you truly deserve. Do yourselves a favor: do not book with tripcentral. Terrible, terrible service.

Fastest and most efficient flight agent I have come across was at Trip Central. She even phoned up…read morethe airline and negotiated a special deal for me. I literally walked in off the street and had the flights booked less than 2 hours later, and that after weeks of messing around waiting for another flight agency to finalize something for me. Also when I had questions during my trip I was able to phone my TripCentral.ca agent and ask her. Admittedly two of the flights were too close together for comfort and I wound up deciding to take a bus instead of the second very short flight -- but that was my call. After I got home the agent sent me a welcome home and how did we do email. She even asked specifically about that tight flight and would I advise a greater time allowance next time. She was friendly, courteous and very professional at all times.

I can say that the few one star reviews about this organization are filled with falsehoods. There is only one place I would recommend learning to dive and travel with and that is Float N' Flag!

We have had horrific experiences with this company, although it started out great. The personal…read moredrama and side issues caused us to declare our complete separation from this operation. We walked away from the diving and the friendship recently after a nightmare trip. We began diving with Float N' Flag in 2018. The service was impressive and competence at that time impressed us. However, within 1-2 years of diving with Brad and Tammy, it became clear that they are always surrounded by extreme negative drama. The extremely personal gossip about their clients began early but became more troubling as our time with Float N' Flag continued. We questioned our friendship a few times when they disclosed information about other clients that was so personal that we were uncomfortable. Tammy and Brad have tried to influence our friendships with people who have left their dive community, or have offended them. They are very pushy in this regard with many in their dive group. Dishonesty and vindictiveness became a serious concern. We went to the Maldives on a live aboard trip this year. Through negligence on their part, there was a Covid infection on board. Myself and another passenger were treated like criminals. I was placed in isolation on a couch outside, at the front of the boat. There was a monsoon that first night and Brad came out, suggesting that I return to my cabin, despite the risk of infecting my wife. He suggested I sleep in the salon area, but that would infect staff who were sleeping there. Brad offered no real help. He hurried back inside to keep dry. I was left standing on the couch to keep my feet out of the water on the floor. There was an electrical cord in the water, which presented a risk of electrical shock. The couch and blankets ended up being soaked. When I was sunburned the next day, I sought shade the next day at the rear of the boat while the divers were away on the smaller boat. As the boat returned, I went back to the front of the boat, away from people. I was reprimanded and told I was being punished. Tammy yelled at me and told me I had broken rules. She yelled at the other infected passenger until she was distraught. Tammy viciously lied about the other passenger, telling the divers that she had intentionally withheld her test results. This was proven false partway through the trip but Tammy continued to claim that it was true. Tammy angered other passengers, telling them that we were both resisting isolation requirements, which was untrue. I tried to speak with Brad, but he offered no help. He is unable to reason with Tammy. Brad supported Tammy's offensive treatment. I missed half of the diving and experienced such degradation and hostility that I could never trust either again. The treatment of the other passenger was cruel and unnecessary. In all of this, I saw a side of Brad and Tammy that was beyond disappointing. Despite their claim to the contrary, at least 5 passengers contracted Covid on this trip. This was the second time I was infected with Covid on a Float N' Flag trip. It was the second time we witnessed unethical and vindictive behaviour towards those infected. It was one of MANY times that we witnessed Brad and Tammy issuing ultimatums about who could have a friendship with whom. Brad states that giving customers false information about dive trips is justified because "it's marketing and does not necessarily reflect the reality of the situation". They lie to their friends without conscience. Personal drama interferes with professional conduct and standards, and havoc ensues. Even if you leave the dive group, the drama and persistent communications continue. (Edit: I continue to receive unwanted harassment regarding this review). Those who depart out of necessity are denied refunds for deposits. Brad claims that "shop policy" is his justification for things such as withheld deposits. Float N' Flag is no longer an operation that I can trust. I once endorsed them enthusiastically but I now recommend doing a lot of research before becoming involved with them.
