Very conveniently located: it's a short walk (or boat ride) from pretty much anywhere, which goes for all the places in Venice. You're a couple of "blocks" from San Polo (obviously) and the Frari, and about a 15-minute walk from St. Mark's Square in one direction and the bus station in the other. There are restaurants and gelato places everywhere, and the staff is really helpful and friendly and has lots of suggestions on where to eat.
We had a room on the top floor, which was nice, because it was one of only two up there. It was pretty quiet and a good size, and it was clean. We had immediate access to the rooftop terrace, and we were a flight up from where breakfast was served.
The breakfast was a good spread: bread, butter, jams, fruit juice and fruit, coffee, pastries, yogurt, etc. A good way to start the day.
But a disclaimer: it is hard to find the first time. You have to wander up and down a few alleys (though that seems less intimidating when you've been in Venice for a couple of days, as opposed to when you arrive). read more
