I've now stayed in Ca' Bonvicini twice, and loved it each time. The rooms are decorated in the most opulent eighteenth century style, with brocade wall coverings and murano glass chandeliers, with ultra modern marble bathrooms, and yet it's very reasonably priced. The location can be a bit difficult to find when you first arrive in Venice, but makes up for this by the fact that it's set back from the main tourist trail yet still within a ten minute's walk from the Rialto bridge. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. One of the rooms actually has its own private roof terrace, but others also have balconies and its wonderful to wake up in the morning and look out over pretty window boxes onto a real Venetian canal! read more
