I contacted C39 roofing in July 2012 because my neighbors had recently had their roof completed by C39. I also contacted another roofing company to give me a roofing bid as well. Pretty disappointed with C39! After having a friend recommend them, I called and setup an appointment. The day of my appointment, they called to reschedule. Not a problem as they had an earlier time available. Well...new appointment time came and past. I called twice and left a message. No response or call back, and days later, they still haven't reached out. While I certainly hope there wasn't an emergency, the lack of professionalism and common courtesy earns C39 a solid 1 star review. read more

Fidel came out and quoted on a complete roof replacement (~$30K job). It took weeks and a couple of reminders to get him to submit the actual quote/proposal. After reading the proposal, I had a handful of questions which I emailed him, such as, what the warranty on his work was, how long he anticipated the work would take etc. and he never bothered to respond to the email. As this work was to be done at a second home we have, it required a round trip to the home to meet Fidel and additional time waiting for him to assess and measure etc. which was all for nothing. If this is the attention to detail and service that you get before starting a job, it is probably a good indication of the quality of the work you will end up with...... In hindsight, I wish we had not wasted our time asking him to quote on the work. read more

Fidel is a reliable professional who (as he promised) does good work. Fidel owns C39 roofing and clearly cares about his business. The job was priced competitively and Fidel himself was very responsive to questions regarding shingles and all the other options we were considering. It was this responsiveness and professionalism (plus that it is a locally-owned small business with an excellent reputation) that made us go with this roofer rather than competing bids. Work started a few days after we signed the contract and proceeded remarkably quickly. The roof was stripped bare in a day. The next day saw the re-roofing almost complete. The crew was friendly, yet professional. I came home from work when they were just finishing up the laying down of the new shingle and a couple was stopped in front of my driveway trying to shout to the guys on the roof what company they worked for. They had stopped their car while driving down the road because they liked the look of the new roof so much! I told them to google C39 Roofing and they were happily on their way. Suffice to say the roof + renovated fascia looks fantastic, and has totally transformed the look of our house. When I wanted to install a new bathroom vent, Fidel's guys were flexible enough to help me out. As a whole, the new vents and flashings were painted tastefully to match the shingle color. A gutter company (don't know their name) were subcontracted out to come and install new gutters/downspouts. Before this, we had detailed discussions with Fidel on the color and design of the new guttering, mostly discussing where the new downspouts should be placed. These were installed exactly as we had expected. Finally, the skylight was installed a few days later (the bronze color was a special order). We had a roof leak on our flat roof which needed repair. I had several companies quote our roof repair, but Fidel was much more thorough in assessing the issue and his quote was very competitive. He took pictures of the roof to show me the damage and provided several options to leak-proof the roof. It has been over a year with my numerous calls and email, the C39 Roofing and the owner, Fidel Cruz did not fix the damage on my roof that he installed which was still under his warranty. I am collecting supporting document to sue him. The damage is on the entire back section of the roof and the area before the edges of the roof. The plywood sheathing that he installed before the shingle is installed was not done completely, properly. There was no plywood sheathing under the shingle to support the shingle on some part of the roof, which consequently caused the unevenness and deep groove from one side of the roof to the other side of the roof. When you walk on roof, you could hear the creaking sound, and it sounded like there is nothing under the shingle to support the shingle on top. Also, the shingle crumbled and broke up into small pieces. All of this had happened few months shortly after he installed the roof. I was very concerned and I contacted Fidel Cruz, the C39 Roofing owner immediately and asked him to come out to inspect the damage and to see if there is something that needed to be fixed. He told me that he won't be able to come out until three months later and he would call before he comes out. I tried to contact him numerous time and never heard back from him. Then after over 8 1/2 months and several demands, finally, he came out. He was rude and did not admit that was his screw up on his workmanship and the defected material he installed on my roof. He informed me that he will send me a report to let me know what caused the damage. I waited and continuously trying to reach him for several months thereafter, but he never replied. To my surprise, one week before Thanksgiving of 2017, I received a phone call from him, he told me that the shingle he installed was defected, and he will come out and fix the shingle before Thanksgiving of 2017. Until today February 7, 2018, I have not received or heard back from him. C39 Roofing, the owner Fidel Cruz is a dishonest, unprofessional person and a bad company that did not do what they charged me for. The owner does not honor his warranty and the work they have done did not meet the standard of workmanship. I hope my review will help consumer to avoid the loss and the trouble that I still continue am dealing with C39 Roofing, Fidel Cruz, the owner to settle this matter at the present time. read more

C39 was recommended to me by a friend who flips luxury homes. Last year, I needed someone to install two vents on our rooftop. After the electrician and AC people did their part, I had a difficult time finding someone to do the last step. C39 did a great job and new exactly what needed to be done. Fast forward to this year and a solar installation. I decided to contact them to inspect before and after (just in case). So glad I did as they found 2 tiles that had been broken during the install and repaired with heavy duty caulk rather than replaced.
