Since this company has been bought out or taken over by GLOCK it seems as though it is just another typical corporate business. I do not get the small town welcoming feeling when I walk in the door. I called the location and was told "Our tech is at lunch but he will be back in 20 minutes if you want to swing by". Awesome! I headed that way and when I got there, it just seemed like a bunch of kids working. No hello, no nothing. I get to them who never asked if I needed help and they are just staring at me. I explained what I needed (taking off a spring clip) and was told "We don't have that tool. Go to Gables". Gables is actually an amazing place and the guys are awesome so I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. So I left. A couple weeks later, I went back to Stoddards for some range time since Gables doesn't have a range. Once again, no hello, no how can we help you, nothing. I ask the guy about renting a range just so I could site in a red dot and he goes to someone else then comes back and says "We aren't taking anymore shooters". It was only 1:30pm. Now it was Christmas Eve and they were closing at 4 I think but there were empty lanes and it was only 1:30pm. The staff just looks like a bunch of kids who don't care about what you want, they just don't wNt to do anything that requires energy. If you need an amazing gun store or gun smith, go to Gables Sporting Goods in Douglasville. If you are looking for a range, go to Governors in Hiram or The Pit in Villa Rica (contact through Instagram). It's a shame cuz the Atlanta location is so nice and friendly. This place isn't worth your time.

The owners (Robbie and Luther Lecroy) are seriously stand-up guys, they may not always have exactly what I am looking for but they always seem to find it! I choose to shop at AG because the Lecroy's are in the firearms business because they love it and live it, they pay the same attention to the folks with extensive firearm experience and the consumer that is just showing an interest in acquiring their first weapon. The shop owners truly believe in the second amendment and want to make certain that anyone that has a desire to own their own weapon and protect themselves has the opportunity to do so without being taken advantage of. I highly recommend AG for all of your firearm needs, I guarantee that regardless of your knowledge of weapons you will be treated as a valued customer...Great gun shop with a truly awesome staff!

I bought a 12ga shotgun from this business about 2 months ago, Luther showed me how to change out…read morethe stock because it wasn't what I really wanted. After doing so a couple days later, I realized the gun had some cycling issues, so I brought it back to Luther, who said he'd send it to his gunsmith. I called/ stopped by trying to get an update on the progress of my gun at least twice a week for well over a month and a half. Always getting the same answer, "I'm waiting on Randy to call me back". So finally, I asked for Randy's info to see if I'd have better luck. When i contacted Randy, he knew nothing about my gun, but Said "Luther would give me Call". I waited for that call for the rest of the day. The very next day, I decided to stop by since I still hadn't recieved a call from Luther. At the store the next day, there was one customer being helped when I walked in. So I patiently waited for a good amount of time. While waiting, several other customers came in and were shown guns and given convo; meanwhile he's still too busy to talk to me. Only after interrupting him from doing the paperwork, (even though he didn't mind stopping that to show guns to the other customers) did he go to the back, bring my gun out, telling me that Randy had over looked it this entire time! And he just so happened to go by and pick it up yesterday, and instead of having Randy fix it. He just brought it back to the shop not repaired. Im nowhere near slow, he just never sent my gun off to be fixed, he just lied to me for 6/7 weeks about doing so.

Judging from some of the others reviews, I'm not the only one who's had the pleasure ... ahem ... of dealing with this guy. I have an Sig P365 xMacro. Nice EDC pistol except for the trigger. Bought an MCarbo trigger on-line but I no longer have the manual dexterity to do detailed gun work so I took it to Tru Prep. The gunsmith says, I hate working on those and don't want to do it. Fine, I thought, I'll just go somewhere else. But then he follows that with, I'd have to charge you an arm and a leg to do it. I asked how much is an arm and a leg in dollars. Hundred bucks. Sheesh. But I need it done so I said, proceed. How long will it take? A week, he says. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard from him. I call the store. He's not there but Amy, he's be of their awesome employees, offers to email the gunsmith right away. I simply want to know when my pistol will be ready. No response from the gunsmith. I call the shop last week and manage to get him on the phone. When will my pistol be ready? This week, he says. I wait until today, Sunday. I go in and he's got an attitude (how DARE I expect him to meet his commitment, right?). I merely said, I'm here to pick up my pistol. No apology whatsoever, the guy just hands it back. Three weeks and I still don't have my trigger installed. Would I recommend this place for gunsmithing work? Am I allowed to say HELL NO! on Yelp? Again, the store itself is staffed by nice people. My problem is with the arrogant, undependable gunsmith. Unfortunately there's not a way to post a review about him without dinging the store as well. However, perhaps the owner will see this negative review and realize he's got a problem employee who's reflecting poorly on the place as a whole.

SW recently discontinued their Harmony No VOC paint and and their rep sent me to Benjamin Moore since they have several No VOC paints to choose from at various price points. When I drove up at 2:30pm on a Monday the place looked closed. But as I walked up Tom Jr open the door for me and I quickly understood why they have such a high rating. This place is like the Cheers of Paint stores. They know their customers and they want to make sure you get what you need. I am very indecisive when it comes to paint and Tom Jr answered ALL my questions, gave me some things to think about and provided recommendations without any pressure to buy. The next day I called ahead to place my order, paid and everything was loaded into my trunk. Wow! This place is a whole vibe, if you need paint get it from here.
