Emma Rose-Roberts Barnsley Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy - Emma on the beach!

Emma Rose-Roberts Barnsley Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy

I found my treatment with Emma Rose highly effective and deeply relaxing. I am a long term sufferer…read moreof Fybromyalgia and associated spinal pain. When my pain was at its worst I received treatments from Emma and I am so glad I did. The needling was very gentle, with minimal amount of needles and Moxibustion was also incorporated; this was heavenly and the warmth through the needle brought immediate relief. In addition to this I also received Reiki healing, which I loved and I found that this helped me greatly with my anxiety. I could actually 'feel' it working even though no touch was involved, so soothing. I am very impressed by Emmas approach to healing, she offers so much more than just accupuncture. Her treatments are tailored to the body as a whole, not just for specific areas. I gained so much more than relief from severe spinal pain, I also received unexpected and quite dramatic healing in other areas of my body which I never mentioned at my initial assessment. I think Emma is a very special healer as she really does care deeply for her patients, she is open and friendly, and puts you totally at ease. She is passionate about her work and she even took the time to explain aspects of her therapy to me, which were not only interesting, but also increased my understanding. I must also mention her clinic, which is very homely and relaxing, not only do you get to lie on the most amazingly comfortable therapy couch-complete with boob rest for ladies, you also get the chance to listen to beautiful relaxation music, your temperature is also carefully monitored and she takes care to ensure you are not too hot or cold. She even cleanses her hands before and after needling. I have gained enormous benefit from my treatments, not only great pain relief and increased mobility in my spine, but also with a reduction in my anxiety levels, relief from heart palpitations, much better quality sleep and relief from some of the many painful and distressing symptoms of a very complex condition. I love attending for treatment with Emma and I highly recommend her as the most professional, knowledgeable and caring therapist in her field. I feel privileged to have met her.

I also stay in the room, close by the patient throughout the treatment and also incorporate moxa and gua sha when indicated. Stems and Branches philosophy goes back to Huang Di, the Yellow Emperor who was credited with establishing the astrological system of 12 Heavenly Stems and 10 Earthly Branches in around 2736BC. This system not only gave rise to a style of acupuncture, but also the compass school of Feng Shui.

There are a huge number of ailments which can be treated with this Eatsern method, such as allergies, skin problems, digestive probelms, high blood pressure, PMT and stress. The aim of acupunture is to stimulate the bodies own healing process by gently inserting fine needles at particular points on various channels of energy on the body. This can mean avoiding strong pharmecuticals that can drain your body and dehydrate your system. The Acupuncture Remedy is a small business run by a lovely girl called Hanya who is fully trained with a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture. She has recieved training in traditional Chinese medicine and western biomedical sciences (physiology and pathology) and also has a Diploma in Indian Head Massage. So, basically, she knows her stuff! She is really easy to talk to, will give you a full consultation before any treatments and also offers a free 20 min taster session for those who are anxious of needles. Indian Head Massage is my favorite bit, as it's a perfect way to unwind and relax. Seriously heaven. It works by massaging and releasing stress in the muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. Perfect for stress relief and relaxing muscles that are stiff from the cold. Yummmm. The Acupuncture Remedy is open on Monday and Tuesday every week at the following addresses. To book, just give Hanya a call, or visit the wesbite for more info. I had been recomended the Jade centre for acupuncture treatment for joint pains, and other stuff,…read moreso i thought i'd check it out. and found a fantastic, small practitioner owned practice, that catered very much for your personal needs/ailments. I had a very thorough initial consultation with 'Louise' the acupuncturist, who was very knowlagable and listened very carfully to what i had to say , then did the pulses and other stuff that Acupuncturists do. I had done a study in the validity of acupuncture in orthopaedics when i did my Ortho certificate, so i had an idea of what to expect.,,, anyway. after a very involved history taking i had my first treatment , which was comfortable and relaxed, It was explained to me what to expect, so i had no worries about needles or pain, in fact the whole thing was pain free and left me feeling very realxed. I realise it was the first of a few sessions so i know i have a few more to get the long term benefits, but i am looking forward to my next session and feeling more changes in my general wellbeing. I won't go into my ailments, but suffice to say, I know i will need more sessions and realise things sometimes get a little worse before they get better, but that was not the case today, i felt so much benefit afterwards, i would recomend this to anyone.

Maureen is also a very kind lady and i would recommend her to anyone with similar problems.

The A&E department at hospital was like a conveyor belt: I arrived, was examined and discharged. One morning the pain was so acute that I nearly dialled 999 for an emergency ambulance. However, thinking of my previous experience I telephoned a physiotherapist called Maureen Bennett whom I have known for many years. Maureen was once the British judo champion and when she retired from competition she became the physiotherapist to the British Olympic athletic team and then moved into private practise. If any one should know about falls it is Maureen. She examined me and diagnosed that I had fractured a rib and torn muscle and probably ligament. She applied strapping to me so that my ribs were held firm and for the first time in over a week I was able to sit down and stand up without nearly passing out with the pain. A good friend of mine has been suffering for months with what the doctors diagnosed as the early stages of arthritis. Maureen diagnosed that he had a vertebrae out of kilter and started treating him. The result is that his quality of life is starting to improve. There is magic in her hands.
