I left and wrote an honest Google review about my experience. Three years later, I decided to put that experience behind me and give this salon another chance. People and businesses can improve, and I believe in second chances. I made an appointment, expecting to be treated like any other customer. About an hour later, the manager called me and told me she was canceling my appointment because she knew I was the person who had written the negative review three years ago. Those were her words. Rather than welcoming a customer back and proving that the salon had changed, she chose retaliation. That decision says far more about this business than my original review ever could. A professional business values feedback--even when it's negative--and uses it as an opportunity to improve. Refusing service to someone simply because they shared an honest experience years ago shows a lack of professionalism and an unwillingness to accept criticism. Policies are one thing; treating people with respect is another. It is not the appointment policy that concerns me--every business is free to have its own rules. The problem is the attitude toward customers and the decision to blacklist someone for leaving honest feedback.
