While I didn't really like how impersonal and unpleasant the psychiatrist he did help me get to a better place with medications. I did have a terrible experience here with counseling, though. My counselor began forgetting very important details, including things we had talked about 15 minutes ago. She seemed very sorry, but it happened so many times that I ended up changing counselors and eventually leaving. This happened a few years ago, and I'm not sure if she's still practicing, but I've been very concerned about this and thought I should share so others can make an informed decision. read more

- Onboarding: Receptionists and on-boarders at CM Counsel are disorganized, borderline incompetent/inadequately trained. I submitted my online paperwork twice to them, and they still somehow managed to lose it. Even after verifying they received the paperwork, they did not forward it to the counselor I'd speak to at my initial meeting. - Initial meeting: CM Counsel has you make an initial meeting with a counselor, to feel out what services you might need or benefit from. The counselor I met with asked me repeatedly if I had filled out the necessary paperwork before she began asking me questions. About 10 minutes in, I realized she was JUST ASKING THE QUESTIONS FOUND ON THE PAPERWORK. I asked her plainly if I could just forward her the form because I'd already filled it out! She, sheepishly, agreed. - Scheduling: The closest possible date for a psych eval was roughly 3-4 weeks away. I agreed because I didn't have any other options. Those weeks come and go, but 2-3 days before the appointment itself, I get a call about the doctor having COVID so I had to reschedule. Okay, fine. Instead of another appointment with another doctor, it gets moved ANOTHER 2-3 weeks ahead. Fine. The office schedules me for a Sunday 12pm telehealth Zoom. Fine, I can do that. - Communication: The date for that telehealth arrives. I click on the office-provided Zoom link and pop into the Zoom waiting room at 11:59am. I wait around. 12:10. 12:20. 12:30. 1pm. Nothing. The doctor doesn't show up at all. No email, no call, no voicemail, nothing. I trusted the office to reschedule me for when the doctor was AVAILABLE. By scheduling me for a Sunday, I assumed the doctor was available on a Sunday! Turns out, not only do the receptionists/schedulers NOT communicate with doctors, they can flat-out schedule you for whenever they feel like putting you, even if the doctor isn't available. And the doctors, apparently, don't even check their schedules, even weeks in advance! - Professionalism: I called the office to leave a message about what happened, explaining the scheduling error and asking if I'll ever actually get my psych evaluation. What I received was a voicemail back, with a shrugging nonchalant "sorry", and instructions to call a DIFFERENT OFFICE. Not "hey that really sucks, let me see if I can contact somebody to see what happened", not "wow that's unfortunate, I'll check our office's schedule to see if there are any openings". Two canceled appointments and a fake appointment on a Sunday, and the best I got was "sorry, wrong number. You're somebody else's problem, not mine." What a waste of my time. I need help and they just don't want me to get it, I guess. They've thrown every possible obstacle in front of me. At this point, I'd rather they actively tell me to go away, it'd be more honest. read more

I would rate it lower if I could . The Exton staff actually hung up on me when I was trying to get my questions answered. They said no one can help you here go outside of CM counsel for help. read more

Stay away from this place. Their desk help is a joke. The counselor I had was nothing but an opportunist cashing in on people with problems. The last straw with me here was when my appointment slot was double booked and there was a very insincere apology with a tone given. No regard was given for the sacrifice I made to get to this appointment. The least they could have done was give me a free visit. One word sums up this practice. ARROGANT! read more

Total Waste of Time! I was referred to this place by my medical doctor. The place is loaded up with counselors that are not licensed. Their psychiatrists are not present or on site at this location & you have to make an appointment months in advance to see a psychiatrist, which are in King of Prussia or Willow Grove. At my first appointment I questioned the intake person "Susan" if their facility could handle & help me with my issues, for I had my doubts. Susan said yes & then rushed me thru the entire intake process telling me that sessions are only 40 minutes & that we were way over that time? I told her when I was in therapy prior, my sessions were usually a full 60 minutes, 2x a week. After taking my co payment 3x's, Tuesday they tell me they are not equip to help me!?! They referred me to another place that is definitely not for me, so I was left on my own to find another place. If you're looking for help, do not choose this place, they are not licensed, they are only counselors, which they do not advertise this, waste of TIME, Effort & MONEY! read more

Extremely rude and impatient receptionist at the King of Prussia office. Called requesting general information, and she was combative and dodgy from the start as if she's used to fighting with people. I tried to reassure her that I wasn't trying to frustrate her, but that I was seeking help for the first time and was curious about the process. Instead of eliciting the sympathy I had hoped for, she snorted and doubled down on her churlish behavior. Still trying my best to be civil and end on a positive note, I thanked her for her time and wished her a good day only to hear, "Uh-huh - *Click*" as she hung up on me. read more

This place is horrible! They made me see a counselor six times before I could even meet a psychiatrist! The staff is rude and when I finally got to see a psychiatrist he was super old. He would even shake when writing my prescription. I see them once a month and the appointment is less than five minutes long and so they obviously only care about the money I am paying them. I am trying to get out of this place and am actively looking for other psychiatrists in the area. read more

Very incompetent office staff. Could never get the bill right. Made payments that they didn't show records of luckily i had kept my receipts. Child psychiatrist they had in Exton office very old. Did not even weigh my child before prescribing meds. All they care about is getting money not about the patient. I would steer clear of this place. read more

Extremely incompetent reception staff at the Exton office! Moved to area from NY and was looking for a psychiatrist that had high reviews and took my insurance. This place seemed okay, even though I had to see a psychologist too I was okay with it because with a preexisting prescription I was told I would be able to see the doctors quickly. I made an appointment for October 25th at Exton well in advance, and upon inquiring over insurance/scanning my card, i was told that the CM counsel doctors and therapists were all in my insurance plan and not to worry. I was a bit wary since it seemed too convenient to be true, so called my insurance company and they confirmed that the CM counsel professionals were in the plan. The first issue happened even before money was WASTED. When I arrived for my appointment yesterday, I was informed by some really dumb receptionist that some other (dumber?) receptionist had never put my name on the appointment list and that, sorry, I couldn't see a therapist that day. I was like okay, I'll just make an appointment for next week. As I was about to drive all the way back to Delaware, I was stopped because for some "lucky" reason, this other therapist had a cancellation (smart person to cancel!) 10 minutes later so I agreed to take that appointment, and big mistake! Right after the therapist told me she would see me momentarily, the receptionist asked for my pay and once she had my card, decided to tell me that the CM counsel therapists were not in my plan, only the psychiatrists were, and in order to see the psychiatrist one day, I would have to do therapy there and pay 125 dollars that day and 100 dollars for other days. Figuring it was a dumb woman who just didn't know insurance and that I would just be able to go and see the therapist a few times and then see the included doctor, I was like oh well and I paid. The therapist I saw was fine enough but she was very ambiguous about referring me to the doctor, making it seem like I'd be 1000 dollars in the hole before she would let me see the psychiatrist, despite my preexisting prescription. Left very annoyed but I made an appointment with a new therapist for a week later, hoping I would get the referral then or at least an estimate of how many sessions I would need before my prescription was honored and I could see a real doctor. Well thank God I didn't cancel my preexisting plans for November 3rd, because this gets better and better (read, worse). This Morning I got a phone call from the same bimbo telling me that they were canceling all of my further appointments and that l could no longer see these doctors because they indeed do not take my insurance (although I was told they did by a receptionist, and from the insurance provider, and online, and the CM counsel website). She also said they couldn't keep the 125 dollars I paid them, and that the poor doctors wouldn't get paid for my visit, but apparently they couldn't use that 125$ officially. Curiously, when I asked, they refused to refund me. Just so you readers know, I'm usually not overdramatic and I never post on these sorts of things, but this pissed me off so much that I felt like telling someone! If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. I believed some random receptionist at Cm counsel, and the phrase "you had one job!" Really shined. Thought I was finding a new doctor, but instead I wasted tons of time, a few gallons of gas, and 125$. If you have blue shield/blue cross, don't come here and don't believe the cm counsel when they tell you insurance covers it, because it doesn't, and you'll waste time and money like me!!! read more

I went to the office in Plymouth Mtg. Soon as i arrived, i was not properly greeted. The receptionist was snobby and didn't even make eye contact. I will not go back to this office again. I hope the one in Kop has better staff read more
