I did because I had no choice. He sat there and talked at me so defensively and unprofessionally. He did not respect or understand my needs or concerns. Somehow we were derailed so I even said to him, in an attempt to clear the air, that I wasn't trying to disrespect him but I just wasn't interested in talking about night guards, to which he made another snide remark about not listening to him and how I rolled my eyes. I'm not sure why he had to have such a strong and angry attitude towards my disinterest in a nightguard, but it was enough that I had no faith or trust in him or his office. Of course, this set me back $300 as I had to start over at a new dental office, which was worth it as I was treated with respect as a patient. The staff, both in the front office and during my procedures, were all courteous and friendly. They explained everything before they did it and educated me on products and treatment procedures without ever pressuring me to purchase anything. I didn't realize that the Groupon I had purchased didn't include a cleaning...but they were able to squeeze me in with the hygienist and provide that service as well! Since I don't have dental insurance and was paying out-of-pocket, they told me the cost of each thing up front. (Cleaning: $81 and Flouride: $18) At the end of my appointment, Dr. Llewellyn introduced himself to me and looked over my x-rays. He described himself as a "conservative" dentist and didn't recommend any major dental work. I'll continue to use Indy Smiles in the future and would recommend it to anyone needing dental services in Indy!
