During our call, he assured us that Ductz wasn't one of those companies that advertise a low price and then surprise customers with unexpected add-ons. We had only minor mold in our attic noted during inspection, and Terry confirmed that using Microbiocidin would be unnecessary and excessive for our situation.When the technicians arrived, they asked what needed to be done--which immediately concerned me. I had to ask if they had a work order to follow. After completing the air duct vacuuming, they casually mentioned that a "chemical smell" would fade in about 15-30 minutes. I was shocked--why was there a chemical smell at all? They had sprayed the ducts with chemicals, exactly what Terry told us would not be done.Within minutes, my nose started burning. I had to take my cats and step outside for fresh air. I called the company and spoke with Andy, who tried to reassure me that the chemicals were safe because "hospitals use them." That was not comforting--especially when the odor was so strong we couldn't stay inside our own home.The technicians themselves admitted that the smell was unusually strong because half of our heating system is radiant, meaning they used the same amount of product in half the usual airspace. One of them even said it could take 2-3 days for the smell to dissipate--completely different from the 15-30 minutes I was told earlier.Despite leaving windows open all day and night, my daughter coughed throughout the night from the lingering fumes. The experience was awful from start to finish.  I was also surprised that the technicians still planned to clean the dryer vent, even though I had confirmed with Terry during our phone call that this service wasn't necessary and should not be included on our invoice.  I would not recommend Ductz of NE Metro St. Paul to anyone--especially if you or your family have any chemical sensitivities or respiratory concerns.

They are reasonably priced, very knowledgeable and have a lot of integrity. They sent Richard and Jacob out to clean our ducts and those guys were awesome. They really went the extra mile to clean the furnace, and dryer and our ducts. They even pointed out a few problems they saw with our furnace so we were aware of it. Okay, you know those coupons you get in the mail? They led us to Twin Cities Finest - and an…read moreincredible experience! When you rent, you toss those coups away like nobody's business. But now that we're homeowners, the tide has turned. And when we got a mailer deal for carpet cleaning, we were very interested. We scheduled an appointment over the phone for the Twin Cities Finest team to come out after all of our painting was done - we had an at-home carpet cleaner but it just wasn't doing the trick. And for the sweet deal promo, we were sold! I loved that they send reminder emails and texts so you don't miss the appointment. Our technician that came out was honest, trustworthy, and clear. He gave us a quote for the whole space (we had a few more rooms we wanted done beyond the promo deal) and the price was still great. The carpet looked so incredible after he finished (less than an hour!). He also gave us a quote on our air ducts and an honest look at their current condition. We really appreciated him not trying to oversell us, and telling us how the vent cleaning works. He also gave valuable insight into tile cleaning. We were so impressed by the technician's trustworthiness AND by the end product - beautiful carpets! Highly recommend :)

Our dishwasher leaked onto the kitchen floor. The plumber recommended we call this firm. They came…read morepromptly, started 2 dehumidifiers and fans the same day. They came back the next day and did a more thorough job. When they recommended dismantling the entire island in the kitchen I was reluctant--expressed my worry that we would end up buying a whole new kitchen if we did that. I was reassured that everything would be restored to original condition. The removal process was done with little concern for preserving what was there. The plumbing pipes to the sink went through sheetrock and the back of the cabinet. First they cut the pipes then destroyed the cabinet back and sheetrock--so a plumber needed to be included in putting it back together--totally unnecessary wanton destruction. Small hardware pieces in the Ikea cabinet were discarded--Ikea would send those free if they still made them, but they don't make them any more. Found something sort of similar on ebay. Top pieces in both cabinets were broken for no good reason. A bespoke nut on the kitchen faucet was lost so that a new kitchen faucet was needed. Various trim was broken. There are lots of companies doing water damage repair--check yelp for recommendations!
