Being a housewife, with a husband in IT, DIY welding isn't on our radar. Sooo off to find a welder. The folks at Silveira's were patient and understanding as I tried to explain the part and break over the phone. When I brought it by, they gave me an extremely reasonable quote and time frame for repair. Waaaay less than the week+ and $170+. They were done on time and on budget. In addition to welding the part back together, which I had asked for, they also ground the top side of it flat, so that it would sit flush against the camper like it's supposed to, which I had not.
