He stressed that the repairman (Calvin I think was his name) was busy through at least a couple of weeks but that I should text some pictures of what we wanted done to a certain number and he would get back to us. I did as requested, but no response came. We followed up with additional emails, and then another call when I was told that Calvin was very busy but would get back to me. Two months later, and I haven't heard back from them. Would I love to hire them? Yes. Would I pay them to do the jobs we need? Yes! Will they ever get back to me? We shall see...

It was binding and dragging on the threshold at all times and especially impossible to shut in the summer when swollen with humidity. This is a really beautiful and heavy 80-year-old legacy wooden door and I wanted to keep it. Just a door, not a big problem to fix, you might say. But you'd be mistaken. Most companies wanted to tear out the whole door, frame included, and replace it with a new steel one. No thanks. Other handymen wanted to tear out and then replace the frame/jamb and rehang the door; lots of demolition work, and expensive. And then came Anthony and Carrie of Squirrel Squad. They were totally on my wavelength: save the door, no unnecessary demolition, and *fix the problem*. Anthony showed up with Harry, raised and then reseated the three hinges, and in under two hours the door was saved, opening and shutting like a dream. He said he would do the work the next morning and call when he was on his way. The next day, Friday, he didn't call, didn't show up, and would not answer his phone. I received a call on Saturday saying he couldn't get to me until the following week. It is now too late to get the work done before work on Monday, and I will miss a day of work sorting out the problems he caused by not simply giving me a five-minute phone call on Friday.
