This review is coming from the IT administration of a larger mining operation outside of Wyoming. Much of my days were previously spent handling the technical support questions and resolving issues by walking down to our end users workstation (whether in the office, or across our site). I was beginning to fall slightly behind with programming and the other duties that helped make our organization efficient. I consulted with K² about some of the issues I needed resolved and was curious as to how they would help. I was pleased with both the responses they had at the time, and currently pleased with how they are handling my end users. For our organization they are acting as a large help-desk, diligently working each time one of our employees has an issue. They are quick to resolve the issue and educate the end user on how to avoid problems (downtime). They are masters at their craft and I am pleased they act as a partner to our organization.

    Very unethical company! I inherited their business alarm system when bought my business. Every…read moretime I needed to change an employee code, they charged me at least 1/4 hour @ $100, but if they took a little longer, they charged me whatever they wanted (up to $100 to spend a few minutes to update 3-4 codes). I was ready to dump them, when they got one of my employees to authorize them to come onsite due to a communication problem. We are an hour away, so they charged $100 to drive here, $100 per hour for troubleshooting, and then $100 to drive back. The tech was onsite less than an hour. They billed me for 5 hours and I received a $530 invoice!!!! When I complained, they were all obnoxious like I was at their mercy whether they would discuss with the owner if they would bestow upon me any reduction to their overcharges. In the end they just told me to go pound sand. I demanded documentation of technician hours and they were not sure if they had anything or whether the owner would allow them to release it. Wow, I thought when you bill by the hour you have to justify and document your time, especially at $100 per hour! As of this posting date they still have not provided any justification for their billing. And they also informed me that they bill in increments of 1 hour, so if they spend 1 hour and 5 minutes at your site, it will be $200!! How many times do you think the techs drag out an extra 5-10 minutes close to an end of an hour to bill another $100?? All...the...time. Stay away!!! And if you are with them, find someone else or pray that you never have a service problem, or you will probably be billed $200-$500 for them to come out to fix it, whether it is your fault or not! And if you call to complain, be prepared for a bunch of condescending princesses telling you tough sh*t!
