Some of work they performed were: installing a French drain behind a large retaining wall. Laying a sod lawn with all the proper soil prep and gopher wire underneath. Building a stairway with gravel treads and 6x8 wooden risers. Installing a gravel patio area completed with gopher wire throughout. Running wire for future landscape lighting. Installing steel edging for various planting areas throughout. Configuring all lawn and drip systems with automatic timer controls. Properly planting all plants of all sizes using soil amendments and gopher baskets. Planting a very large 36" boxed olive tree which we didn't think could be done on our property. All this was done in a timely manner with excellent communication and all the workers were happy and smiling every morning. A good way to start our day! Many thanks go to Juan and Juan for helping to make our project stress free.

Juan and Northview Landscaping were the best landscapers I've ever used, and my experience with…read morethem was amazing. I found Juan to be very personable, great to work with, and extremely attentive to any questions or concerns I had - always responding the same day, if not the same hour. And his team did amazing work: we had fencing, cement, paver and other hardscaping work done, and I was impressed with all of it. In fact, their work was so much better than the landscapers we had used previously that I wish I had known about them beforehand! This next point I wasn't sure I should mention, but had to because it says so much about Juan's work ethic and character. During the removal of some topsoil for the hardscaping, Juan's team hit a pipe which affected the water coming into the house. When notified, Juan dropped everything to personally come and fix the issue himself, making sure to get it fixed before 5 p.m. the same day so we could have water in time for our family's dinner. Honestly, I was beyond impressed. I know mistakes happen -- but seeing Juan so dedicated to making it right was huge, and is the hallmark of someone you want to do business with again and again. Which is to say: Thank you Juan, and team. I really appreciate all your hard work. If I ever have any other landscaping needs, you'll be the first person I'll call.

We had a very good experience working with Northview Landscaping. Our project was large, involving…read morea new paver driveway, new public sidewalk, new turf install, new concrete and paver pathways, new wooden gates and a re-install of a paver patio. The project took a long time with several interruptions due to weather and permitting with the city. For a while it seemed like the sidewalk repair might not happen, but Juan and Freddie were able to work it out with the city and the new sidewalk looks great. Our new paver driveway looks amazing and has given us way more space. The new retaining wall curves around the corner to the street, which was a detail in the design that I really wanted, and they were able to deliver. So far after a few heavy rainstorms everything seems to be draining properly. The plants and landscaping are starting to fill in and I'm hoping that the plants thrive over the summer after some pretty nasty weather the last couple months. Perhaps the best part of the project has turned out to be the backyard where we replaced the grass lawn with turf and had the paver patio re-installed. It looks really nice and the dogs love it. I love that I don't have to spend hours weeding it and worrying about foxtails in dog feet or noses. There is still one step left before completion, since we ended up having to replace our sewer pipe to the street which left a small section of the paver driveway. Overall Northview did great work on a big job with some complicated permitting requirements. They were always respectful, polite and communicative. I'll definitely contact them again for future work and would recommend Northview Landscaping to friends and neighbors.
