Outside pizza vendor was 1.5 hours out on orders. so we stopped in the little store and found excellent crackers and cheese to hold us off. I heard the Genoa bread was amazing from a Modesto bakery. But, sold out:( you pay for everything and the. Bring to your server and they put it all on a charcuterie board and bring to your table. I really enjoyed their Chardonnay on this rather hot day. People were dancing, drinking, eating and socializing. It was great! the wildflowers on the grounds are so beautiful! They have games to play. And dogs are welcome! Check out all my photos. I'm giving this 4 stars only because I think it's ridiculous to not be prepared and offer pizza as your only vendor and wait 1.5 hours knowing you are completely booked for the day. and, the pizza was really thin, hardly any cheese we could see or taste. Basil was less than appetizing to look at, but we were starving. So we ate every paste bite. I think it would have been nice to offer fresh Apples, pears or grapes in the store for the charcuterie boards. You have to try their soft Jalapeno cheese in the cold case!!! It was delish w/the crackers from Rustic oven. I loved the store... the 2 guys who do the treasures with grapevines are incredible. I can't wait to take a class. We went during the summer the day before the Fourth of July around 9am which was a Friday. It wasn't busy but a few cars there. The regular price is $10 for 15 dozen, still a great amazing deal. Fast friendly service, at their window pick up. This week of August 11th they had an $8 deal for the 15 dozen We came on Thursday the 13th and got that 8$ deal!! We mentioned them to family and friends. My cousin's family from her husbands side has a lot of kids and went by in the afternoon and said there was a long line and a lot of people My Thursday morning around 10a wasn't busy, even with the deal, so I guess their afternoons are a lot more busy FYI I hope they will still have these amazing prices for months to come which definitely helps big families. There were a few cars and waiting people when arrived but, the line to grab some fresh eggs moved quickly. I grabbed 18 large brown eggs and paid $5 dollars. No fuss. No muss, just some fresh eggs. SCENE: Pleasant Valley Farms is located in the unincorporated city of Ripon on W Ripon Road between Austin Road and S Curtis Avenue. The farm has signs clearly marking which way to enter and leave the property and the process for getting eggs is simple; drive up. Find a place to park. Head to the window and buy your eggs. RECOMMENDATION(S): You can't beat the freshness of their eggs nor their price. Highly recommended.

They have picnic spots, trailers, photo props, clean porta potty and many apples! We got fuji, gala, green. It's so widespread, we were all just there picking in our own rows and taking pictures.

They also had a wonderful bakery with delicious homemade pies, strudels, breads and cookies. Oh how I miss those boysenberry pies. :( They were always busy too. Then the unthinkable happened. They were forced to close down. Why? Because of the Kaiser hospital being built nearby. The city decided they needed to widen the roads and condemned approximately 5 homes and Vella Farms so they could expand the roads. Not cool. So we have been without our beloved Vella Farms for almost a year now. Sniff. Sob. Sigh. :( P.S. On a positive note, a little birdie told me that the owners are looking to reopen in a new location. Oh I sure hope so! My mouth is watering thinking of those scrumptious berry pies! :) So I will give them 5 stars based on the Vella Farms from days of old but minus 1 star for making us wait for the new Vella Farms.
