Thank you Chilann. This lady is the absolute best. Went out of her way to help us when C and D towing was called to give us a start. You can't ask for a better person read more

Booked a tow through AAA - estimated time was far exceeded. Lady who answered their phone was nice but the eta's she gave were 15 min became 45 in total was waiting 2 hours at roadside. When driver showed up he didn't say a word - seriously not even hi. Looked like he did a good job at securing my vehicle so not giving a one star. Needed another tow the next day. They didn't show up, did not answer their phone or respond to text. AAA called them 3 times with no answer. I get island time but would hope for just plain honesty when it comes to eta's and good business practices of answering the phone and showing up. read more

I have known the owner for over 30 years and have always had good relationships and feel that they are here for the local people and offer reliable service at a reasonable price! Malama pono read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. When I called the woman who answered was very rude and told me it would be 2 hours before I received help. I waited 2 hours IN THE DARK for help and NO ONE CAME! When I called back no one answered and no one called back! The customer service was beyond terrible and unreliable. I would never do business with this company! read more

My mom called because she needed help jump starting her car. She was not told she would be charged $243.77. Come on that is just ridiculous. I would never recommend using this company. Be aware!!!! read more

It took a little bit longer than estimated but being on an island nothing more than fair and reasonable. I think about 20 minutes after the projected arrival time, which is the only reason 4* instead of 5. The customer service was PHENOMENAL! The lady answering the phone and our rescuer were kind, courteous and extremely professional. The young man put gas in our car and when leaving noticed we also had a low tire. He put air in our tire and we were on our way. Highly recommend! read more

This company first said they would show up at 12:00 PM. By 1:00 PM no one showed up. I called back they said they were 10 min away. This happened several times throughout the day. They finally showed up at 8:00 PM. I was stranded for 8 hours waiting for them to show up. read more

Locked keys inside our car, called at 6pm. Was told they'd arrive at 7:45 pm it's 8:30, no update. So I call them, explain I've been waiting outside in my bathing suit for two and a half hours. The woman on the line says she'll call me back with an update, nothing. I call back and it goes straight to voice mail. I call AAA now, who found them for me initially. They tell me the new ETA is 9:45. The finally arrive at 9:30 with not so much as a word about being an hour and 45 minutes late. The lack of professionalism/common courtesy is astounding. read more

Wasn't expecting to have to write a review of a towing company while I was in Kauai. But, I offered to drive the sister of the bride to the airport (should be some good karma for that, right?), and while I was there, figured I'd find a couple geocaches nearby (it's like a treasure hunt you use your GPS for - check out www.geocaching.com) Anyway, the first one was just down from the airport at Ahukini, found it no problem. The second was right at the end of a road that ran parallel to the ocean. Cool. It was a single lane road, but nicely paved - for awhile. Then it started to be less paved; then it turned into red dirt. Then it turned into red mud. It lured me in like a lobster being slowly boiled. I eventually decided the road was too dicey, and turned around. But unfortunately, it was too late, hit a thick patch of mud and got stuck in a hole. I tried everything - tried to push it backwards while in neutral, throwing tons of grasses under the wheels (there were no planks), but nothing worked. Had no cell service there, so walked back down the road until I got cell reception, and was able to reach AAA which put me in touch w/ C&D. Apparently, if I had needed a tow on a paved road, it would have been free (covered by our AAA plan), but because I was on a road requiring four-wheel drive, I wasn't so lucky. Long story short, ended up costing me just shy of $500. Apparently, that included the AAA discount, and otherwise, it would have been more. Major Bummer. But what's the alternative? Like the comedian Brian Regan says in his sketch on tow companies, you're not exactly bargaining from a position of strength when you're broken down in the middle of nowhere calling a tow company. On the plus side, they were nice guys - appears to be family-owned operation - Kalani, the dispatcher, took down my info. His bother Shane came out to get me out of the mud, along w/ 2-3 other guys. And then, when it was time for an invoice, it was his mother who did the billing. Of course, wish I hadn't gone down that road and needed their services. As Ron Burgundy says in Anchorman when he spontaneously jumps into the bear pit at the San Diego zoo, "I immediately regret this decision!" But once you're in a bind, what are you going to do? Apparently, call C&D! read more

C & D Towing - Freed from the mud - Towing Near Me - Lihue, Hawaii

My mom and I were looking for sea glass at the beach and our rental car keys got washed away. It was almost dark, we had nothing because it was all locked in the car, and we were so scared. C&D came out and picked up our car and kept it save with all of our belongings until we could pick them up. We are so appreciative and would highly recommend this towing company to anyone who needs assistance on the island! Thank you! read more

Awesome quick, professional, friendly & quality service. I locked my keys in my car and they were here within 20 minutes. It literally took the guy (Jack?) under two minutes to get in. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! read more

Definitely would never recommend these rip off artists. I was sent to them to get a few gallons of gas syphoned out of my car prior to shipping it (Coast Guard mandates 1/4 tank or less to ship on the barge). After the service was completed, he tells me it's going to cost $85!! At first I laughed because I thought he was joking ($85 for 10 minutes of work taking out a little gas!) But I soon found out that he wasn't kidding, and on top of that, he waited to the end to tell me the absurd price. I guess I wouldn't want to tell people the price upfront if it was totally unfair. After later inquiring about gas siphon prices, I found no place on Kauai or Oahu charging close to that much, especially for the minuscule amount of gas taken out. It's unfortunate that companies operate like this and feel it's okay to take advantage of people just because people need the service or don't have other options available to them at the time. It would be nice if people had more integrity when running a business. read more

Stuck at Kalalau Lookout, Waimea Canyon, no cell reception, family of 8, dark, raining, 2 vehicles, keys to rental car lost. Drove other one down 9 miles to make the call. Knew exactly where we were, came in less time than promised, after hours, right tools, great skills and knowledge, compassionate, efficient. Thanks, C&D. read more

We were stranded, the rental car was completely stuck out on the North Shore past Hanalei due to a bonehead move I pulled involving the key-fob and saltwater (spoiler: they don't mix). It was getting past dark and the rental car company couldn't send a replacement until morning (but we didn't know that yet), and wouldn't begin to send the replacement until the first rental, with all our car-camping gear in it, was towed. No Ubers or taxis on the North Shore. I believe the C&D driver's name was Travis, and I think it was his wife with him. He and his wife were so helpful, really struggled like mad to get the car, which was completely locked up with the alarm going off, dragged up onto the truck. They, at first, agreed to wait with us until an Uber or taxi arrived, and then, when it became clear that none were available, they found a way to get us a ride back into Hanalei. After we and our stuff got dropped off in Hanalei, Travis called to tell us that there was a bus we could take into Lihue, where we could at least get a room (but the last bus had already passed). We ended up sleeping in the park with the blessing of the local security guard, who then gave us a ride up the hill to Princeville to get the replacement rental in the morning. That morning, Travis called again to see how things worked out. I don't know what we would have done... well, I guess we would have slept on the beach. But at the time it really felt like Travis and his wife went WAY out of their way to rescue us. This review is our way of saying mahalo! read more

Excellent service, the driver of the flatbed truck necessary to tow my 4 wheel drive was very skilled, polite, friendly and competent. His name I don't remember, but he is the only non-family member of this family run business. They are lucky to have him, great local boy! read more
