We had a severe weather storm hit our neighborhood and C&A was contracted thru our insurance company to remove a massive tree branch from our roof that was partially into our attack. The owner Christian was very quick to call and then come out to assess the damage. Then that same afternoon the crew was able to come and do the work. This crew was the most professional crew we've ever experienced. They took such care and detail to how they removed the tree, not causing any additional damage and when it was all done they cleaned up every trace of debris using racks, blowers, etc. We would hire them a thousand time over. read more

Following a recent storm, we lost a large limb from an oak tree by our home in New Buffalo, MI. With some anxiety about the risk of further danger from future storms, we contacted several tree companies, and were advised to immediately remove the entire tree - at considerable expense. Christian from C&A, on the other hand, immediately responded to my call and then took time to explain why that one limb dropped, how its loss affected the physics of the tree's resilience in future storms, candidly advised us on the on-going risk, and counseled us to not rush into its removal out of undue anxiety. He was patient, highly insightful and instructive, and exhibited great care and concern for the tree as well as our well-being. While willing and able to remove the tree, he was willing to forego that work so as to ensure we could continue to benefit from that healthy tree. From his assessment, I not only received a master-class in how large trees respond to high winds - but also saved $$ and gained peace of mind. It pays to consult a true professional arborist like Christian. read more

My experience as a long time customer of C&A has been one of 100% satisfaction. Christian and his team of Mike and support understand the health of trees. As a certified arborist he has often told me to wait on a tree removal and let's monitor which has saved the tree and me $. Thats what you get, honesty and integrity! Highly recommended. read more

When a winter storm brought a big tree down on our house, we called the electric company, the insurance agent, and C & A - right away. Once the power was disconnected, the arborists were on it! A crane, a cherry picker, a crew of about 5 people, and several other vehicles got the tree off the house, moved the mess aside and were gone in an hour. Professional, timely, and communicative. read more

Since 2005 we have relied on C&A Arborists and team to provide honest assessment of our trees. We currently have about 10 acres of old growth woods. This week I asked him if he could stop by to look at two dying pine trees, which 6 years ago they looked poorly and he called it then that they would continue to die slowly. They have no potential of harming our home they just might look unsightly. The birds and insects will enjoy them until we're tired of them. So we'll leave them for now. His walk around our property - we noticed our crabapple tree bark was being ripped away by come critter, I'm guessing it was a raccoon trying to get to a suet feeder, since moved. He recommended that we wrap the trunk, in hopes of saving the tree. We also discussed how my gardener like to blow as many leaves well into the woods and leave bare ground. Which in talking to Christian - this is not a favorable approach. It leaves the roots of the tree bare and vulnerable. Over the years he and his reliable team have always done great work for us. I had requested a truck load clean wood chip last year. Wow was it clean and they were delighted to leave it for us. Sure we paid for it but it was WORTH every penny. It's kept the weeds down in the selected area. I could go on for pages on the good work of Christian and his team. His knowledge of Oak Trees is vital to all of us in Harbor Country. Crew urinated on out building today. Caught and played dumb. During another recent job parked truck, trailer, and heavy machinery on private property and when asked to move it were confrontational. Police involved both time times and all video recorded. Unprofessional. Avoid at all cost. read more

We just had another excellent experience with C&A Arborists. We had 5 trees come down in a storm onto our house. At 10am the next morning, the C&A team quickly jumped into work. They got several cranes, chippers and trucks to our house quickly. They were quick to provide pricing quotes and fully understood the insurance process. The entire team was professional, well-experienced and a pleasure to work with, this is an easy recommendation to anyone. read more

Christian has done work for me on two separate occasions. His recommendations on work to be done on our trees are thoughtful, his knowledge of trees is extensive and his work is professional and well executed. Within the last two weeks he removed multiple trees around our home, ground out the tree stumps, and left the work area (and nearby plants) in wonderful shape. True professional with very high standards. Definitely will hire C&A Arborists again! read more
