I told the guy, my two general electricians have both seen and worked on my box without any issue or concern. Anytime told me, these electricians didn't know what they were talking about. I said I had other electricians coming to bid for the job. He asked why I need electricians if I have two. I told him they were both unavailable for the next few months due to larger projects and I wanted the work done sooner. Clearly, the two people I use earned big business jobs in the area but don't know what they are talking about. Anytime told me to take a picture of my box and sent it to him before he would do the work. He called me the next day to tell me, he would not do the work until I replaced my panel. He would do that for $4500 and ONLY then would consider the job. I told him that was great as he has not seen, worked on or taken apart the panel to see if there are actual issues. He was certain the ones was old, had issues and more than likely corrosions from its age. I had three electricians bid for the job today. All three looked at the panel and agreed it is old but it is in great condition, no corrosion and all the breakers work solid. They all were comfortable doing the work should I accept their bid. 5 electricians seem to think my panel is okay. Anytime needs me to replace it for 4500 before even considering my job request. What a joke.

The tech changed the circuit breaker and an outlet that caused the power outage in the bedroom. It turns out that in repairing the power outage the tech caused all the smoke alarms in the house to not have power due to him cutting the wires in the outlet and capping them off. That's very disturbing that wires were cut with no knowledge of what those wires were connected to. The outlet was not replaced as we were told. It was rigged with electrical tape to get it to function. I called another electrician to double-check the panel and the outlet because none of the smoke alarms worked. Thank goodness happened to our home. That was very scary to find out that our home was made unsafe due to an incorrect "repair". I surely didn't get what I paid for as in a proper repair .

Responded instantly to ask for more details. I really appreciate a quick response, and I'm assuming you do too because who likes having to wait around? 2. After he got said details, quoted me the (what I now know is a fair) price of $162.19. That's also obviously incredibly precise, as it was right down to the cent after tax, and I like that too, because I want to know how much I'm going to pay. 3. Requested a few more details and photos so as not to waste either of our time when he showed up to do the work. Warned me that if a few things were the case in an old building, it could run me a little bit more than the initial quote. 4. Showed up on time, fixed the issue quickly and efficiently, and then billed me $30 LESS than the original quote, since the job was easier than he expected. Believe me when I tell you that I would not have had the slightest clue if he charged me the original price. But he was honest enough to charge me what he thought the job was worth. I like that.
