I came across Optimum First Mortgage (OFM) after reviewing mortgage rates posted on Bankrate. OFM…read morehad some of the best rates, best reviews, and quite a lot of reviews (not one of those all 5-star reviews from ten people kind of things). I filled out the form and within an hour, probably within 30 minutes, I had my first very pleasant call with Lee Wapato, my new loan officer. Lee discussed the information I'd entered on Bankrate, confirming everything was correct, and got a feel for what was going on. Fast forward a little bit, and we painlessly closed on our new house on time without any issues. Lee's rapid responsiveness & professionalism carried through for the remainder of our time working together - even after closing. He was very good about keeping me updated with any developments. The fact that Lee was working on Pacific time & I was working on Mountain & Eastern times was an added advantage because that allowed me to gather up any information or work on tasks after my normal day was done. Even more, this gave time for Lee & the OFM team to process those due outs I returned to them on the same day. As stressful as buying a house can be, you won't get any of that stress from Lee. I'm actually looking forward to working with Lee again on the next one.

He and his team executed at a high level and moved incredibly quickly to get us approved and underwritten in time to close. No drama, no surprises, just results.
