Told him my situation and he said they are booked solid, but he can't leave stranded" and got me in the next day. Dropped the vehicle of getting ready to drop some big cash for a transmission. Got a call later in the day and Cory informed me it wasn't the transmission, it was another part of the drivetrain. They got the parts needed and did the repair. They had me on my way in 3 days! I paid under what I expected, even though it was a different issue. Western Transmission's service was excellent. They've rebuilt a 4Runner rear differential that a different local shop botched, and they've installed several CV axles, also in 4Runners. As a loyal Toyota owner for almost 40 years, I've learned to use only OEM Toyota parts, which I purchase from authorized dealers. WT is the only shop in Idaho Falls that I can find that will install these parts. So I use WT exclusively for driveline work (which is all they do). Prices are reasonable, and the work is done well. Randy, the knowledgeable fellow at the front desk, understands the OEM part issue I face as a Toyota owner, and has been accommodating. Western Transmission has been better than any dealership shop I've used in four decades.
