No matter what your expectations for the SAT or ACT, Brian will help you do better. I first met him during group sessions with 20 or more students at my high school, and found him so helpful that I signed up for individual lessons afterward. During group sessions I was really impressed with Brian's ability to teach to all levels. A wide range of students were in the group, but he was able to help all of us, even if in different ways. A particularly valuable part of his teaching is his focus on strategy, time management, and the different tricks each test will use. These are much harder to find in books or from other tutors than content (like vocabulary, math formulas, etc), and they are helpful to anyone taking the test no matter how (un)prepared they may be. In individual sessions, Brian showed integrity as well as a real interest in helping people master the tests. Eventually, I was close to a perfect score on the SAT but struggled with moving fast enough through the questions and a few tricky math problems. Brian quickly showed me how to get past this, and soon after revealed real character in telling me that I was close to a perfect score and that he felt bad continuing to let me pay for sessions with him. I did end up getting that perfect 2400, and Brian's strategies are a large part of how I did it. When I let him know much later, he called me to ask what I remembered and what recommendations I had for other people. I first met Brian when I had him as a history teacher in high school. He was one of my favorite teachers, so I decided to take one of his ACT Turbo prep classes. Brian Stewart had high ratings, but he is rarely available and certainly not on the client's schedule, and his hourly rate is outrageous at $180 per hour, if he had the time.
