We needed liquor for the room. I wasn't very familiar with alcohol sales rules being from CA. But I read up and we decided to stop by Whitey's to grab a bottle. After browsing, my friend decided on the bottle above. I didn't really care as long as it was some kind of scotch / whisky. Pretty good selection. And pricing is better than what I would get back home. REVIEW #3878

Able to find some good local, regional and national brews with good service and conversation. Just sitting just about 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore, it's an easy convenient drive to reach. Inside, the store is set up well with the selection available and a decent amount of beer in and outside of the cooler. Also, look to have a nice selection of spirits and wine on hand as well. Pretty nice spot overall and worth checking out.

And thanks to the guy at Food Lion for the suggestion oh & for also helping us not be taken advantage of by the Uber driver who was trying to take us clean across town, but I digress. Anyhow, this plus sized convenient mart was well lit & housed pretty much any kind/brand of alcohol that you might seek. Snacks and other little zoo-zoos all over the place. We were able to get mini-bar sized tequila to go. There was an on-hand Ace of Spade Champagne on deck... Impressive, I totally need one of those from my party, but again, I digress. It was also great that this location stayed open past the 9pm hour as some of the other Great little find, impressive items in stock, late hours & fair pricing; I'm a fan.

AS LONG AS YOU SAY HELLO first. However.. recently.. let's say the last few months.. It had seemed as tho I'm judged for walking in the door.. all though spending lots of money there for the catering business I work for. But recently I've noticed that my personal purchases haven't been matching the prices advertised at the Shelf compared to I've been charged.. but since I've trusted them for so long I didn't think twice BUT NOW.. I've realized they've been taking advantage of my trust.. definitely doing the math and realizing they are overcharging for sure. And RIGHT NOW.. I just checked my account and they've placed 3 charges on my card in last two days.. and it's rare that I shop there more than once or twice a week if that!!! Just be careful!! Don't use a bank or credit card!! ASK for a receipt!! AND MAKE SURE that the prices in the shelf match what you are charged for. ALMOST FORGOT!! Pretty mini mall outside light rail station.. BUT BEWARE very shady people loitering and asking for money.. and very intimidating.. no police security around at all.

Since I was in the area due to visiting a friend, I decided to stop by Cindy's to see if I could find what I was looking for. And of course I did! The selection of bubbly was great! They had a lot of the large bottles in a range of prices. I was able to get a big bottle for $13, which was right in my desired price range. Check out was easy and before I knew it, I was back in my car. Cindy's isn't my neighborhood liquor store but when I'm in the area and need something specific, I know I'll always be able to get it there.
