Great spot for a solid selection of many craft beers and good knowledge on hand to discuss what's available. Able to find some good local, regional and national brews with good service and conversation. Just sitting just about 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore, it's an easy convenient drive to reach. Inside, the store is set up well with the selection available and a decent amount of beer in and outside of the cooler. Also, look to have a nice selection of spirits and wine on hand as well. Was a long time customer that won't be returning, sadly...one staff member was pretty rude...I will spare leaving her name on here though. They didn't have a pint of a whiskey I wanted so they offered two half pints which is more expensive by roughly $0.80...I said will I be getting those for the same as the pint price since you don't have what I asked for and one lady behind the counter laughed and said no I don't think so...while other staff thought it was ridiculous and told me they would have done it but I guess were fearful of consequences from a superior. read more

I LOVE Whitey's. They have a great selection of craft beers, liquors, and wine- plus the bonus of a growler fill station. The base prices are reasonable, but they often have great deals on their selection, and/or often have some specialty hard to find &/or collaboration drinks, so it's easy to stock up on favorites & also try new things. The really fantastic aspect about Whitey's is the community culture they create. The have a lot of events offering tastings of new things-it's a great opportunity to expand the pallet, meet vendors or owners, and get an alcohol education- plus Rob also does a lot of facebook to promote supporting local &/or supporting a variety of causes. He's really hands on- I feel like a regular there, where he knows my style and can offer new things to try based on my preference of past buys. Woah Whitey's has got the best selections and sourcing of pretty much anything beer/liquor you can imagine and the wine selection is decent too! This place is located across the street from The G&M Restaurant, so while you are waiting for your table might as well dip in here. At this liquor store, they specialize in craft beer local to the area and some are quite pricey. I saw a four pack of some different founders brew for around $17! That must be extra crafty! They have selections of any type of craft beer you can think of really and some very nice small batch liquors, too. They have some great top shelf liquors and the staff is super nice, too. If you are looking for your fill of alcohol this is your one stop shop in the area. This place is packed to the rafters with all types of libations. Chilled or not, you can definitely find what you need within. There is a sprawling selection of wines, spirits, and beer. Most items that are chilled are the beer and seltzers, I believe there are a few things of wine in a cooler as well, but don't quote me on that. If you do not know what you want when you come in here it is going to take you a long time to figure that out. Other things they have are tobacco products and lottery. Tis the season to be welcoming guests with Christmas cookies and spirits so I headed to Whitey's Liquors for ingredients to make cranberry mimosas. I was very impressed with this store. I wasn't expecting it to be so nice or large so I spent quite a bit of time perusing everything from liquor to mixers to beer to wine. The three things I like most about Whitey's Liquors are (1) the super friendly and attentive staff, (2) the huge selection and (3) the proximity to my work. Fantastic prices with a great staff. This liquor store is fairly close to BWI, so it's convenient if you're staying in the immediate area. Their selection is quite good and the second time we went there last week, they had free tastings for a few different kinds of liquor. They gave us a generous glass of each selection too, so it wasn't skimpy. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. I must mention that some of the sale prices were mind-blowingly low. Wow. How fun! A must for any beverage lover. I adored the warehouse, slight chaos vibe of this liquor, yet plethora of wine, beers, and other nonalcoholic drinks store. You can tell they've been in the area for a good while (ok, over 60 years) and are worth the experience. Helpful staff to discuss whatever you're looking for. Wanted to grab a few bottles of wine to meet up with friends that moved to the area and they helped us pick out a few. They also had taps to fill up your own growlers along with a large assortment of beers. Oh, and always a good note is total fair pricing on wine. Some places that can be fun distract you from your cost. The pricing was not only fair, but the staff also made sure we knew of their upcoming sale! So kind and appreciated. Will probably pop in again before we leave because 3 bottles with friends we haven't seen since before covid just simply isn't enough. read more

Love them even though I just met them! Tremendously helpful when I was in a bind looking for something special to celebrate my soon-to-be born first kid. Most of the stores threw in my face that others have been coming for 20 years, even though I just moved up here, and refused to help or were only willing to help with unbelievably ridiculous mark ups (ie really helping themselves)...granted Whitey's also had some prices that were on the high side, but given the situation they did something so rare nowadays....THEY WORKED WITH ME. I will have to say that Whitey's has come a looooooooong way, since I first visited some time ago, at least with selections, space, and cleanliness. SO Kudos to them for the come up. I drive by sometimes on my home, if I decide to skip the highway. This was a Friday after a long week... actually a long month. So I decided to stop and grab some wine. I was looking for something particular. I was welcomed as I walked in the door by the cashier. However, after that I was definitely OVERWHELMED. There were 4-5 vendors at the front when I walked in, none of them spoke as I walked in or leaving. I literally just wandered until I came across some wine bottles. Still not seeing what I looking for ( a local/ Maryland wine section). As I was looking up for insight via the signs on where I needed to be, I didn't find much. There were several employees, zooming by, one attempted to ask if I needed help. When I said " oh yeah " and I turned around he was gone. :-( . Finally and younger black guy saw I was in need of help, he stopped and asked me - what I was looking for. I told him and mentioned they didn't carry it but he actually took time to suggest some others wines. Too which, I took his suggestion and purchased a bottle. It was really yummy. Thanks young fellow... I'll be back, because of you. What I was looking for Basignani - Monkton Moon Delight or their Riesling 4 stars, because if in is in the area looking for any type of alcohol ( beer, wine, liquor) this place has an awesome selection, if they don't have what you are looking for... im sure they have something close to it. Can you say AMAZING?!?!?! I stumbled across this little gem while dropping off a friend at the airport and fell in love with the variety of beer, wine, and spirit! They also happened to be running their annual sale so it was 30% off all wines - can I get a heck yeah?! I went ahead and got 10 bottles of wine and I got such great service and attention from Eric that I came back at night with my husband. We purchased several tequilas at a great price! Whitey's has really come a long way over the years. It has a fantastic liquor program, with a great selection of whiskeys, scotches, and artisanal bourbons and gins. Their beer selection is really good with a lot of craft beers to choose from, as well as a growler station with several taps. They have a good stock of wine, but I don't think their usual clientele is looking for much variety. Located just off the beltway, this is a place to stock up on whatever you need, or to find something you didn't know you need. Hey, has anyone ever been to G&M or Whitey's on N. Hammonds Ferry Road in Linthicum Heights, MD? Yeah, me too... but NO MORE!!! Today, I called G&M and ordered crab cakes, their specialty, for a Mother's Day treat/surprise. It's a bonus, because Whitey's liquor store is directly across the street. Since Baltimore County liquor stores are closed on Sunday, it works out well... crab cakes and an adult beverage. Well, kind of... G&M's parking lot is always overflowing, so I thought... just park in Whitey's... pick up my carryout, grab a 6 pack and get ready for Mother's Day dinner. This was apparently the wrong order in which to do things. I parked beside Whitey's, crossed the street get my carryout from G&M and came back to Whitey's to pick up a 6 pack. I come out with my purchases and my car is gone... it's been TOWED. Yes, in the 5 minutes it took for carryout and beer. I go back into Whitey's and the only thing they can say is that I should have come to the liquor store first. So, needless to say I wasn't happy... especially once I called Quick Response Towing and they tell me it'll be $350. So, two crab cakes , 6 pack and an unexpected Uber ended up costing about $420. So, for those of you who continue to be patrons of Whitey's and secondarily G&M's BEWARE. Because, regardless if you purchase items from either or both establishments, you could be towed in as little as 5 minutes. Needless to say, Whitey's and Quick Response Towing are preying on unsuspecting customers to make a few bucks... $350 to be exact. read more

They work closely with Quick response tow service and do predatory towing. While I understand one must protect spaces for customers, the money they're getting back as a result shows the lack of character. Too many other places to buy from to waste time risking being towed. read more

Great selection and extremely close to our hotel. Prices are average, nothing extravagant. Husband was disappointed that they didn't have his Sailor Jerry's but he made it out alive, so no worries there. There were plenty of people ready to get their drink on, on a Friday night. My FAVORITE liquor store. Seriously, this place is a wonderland for wine and beer lovers. Lots of variety, both local and not so local, of wine and craft beer. There is also a filling station for firkins which is very cool. The liquor selection is also extensive, especially the whiskey. The prices are average, but they frequently have specials (on top-shelf and seasonal stuff too!) and tastings. This place is clean, super organized, well-stocked, and the staff is always VERY friendly. It's also open on Sundays and close to Baltimore County, which is a GOD SEND. read more

This is by far my favorite liquor store. Rob, their beer guy does a great job of stocking the newest local brews and they seem to be a buck cheaper than most places too. They have tastings every weekend, they have a small tap systems for growler fills, and they also do a good job of stocking a lot of rare and local spirits as well. read more

There towing scam is disgusting! Yesterday(Mother's Day) I parked for 10 minutes in their parking lot to get my carry out from G&M's when I returned my car was in the process of being towed. My intent was to purchase beer after I picked up my food. Quick Response Towing charged my credit card $ 175.00 if appears from reading other reviews that the charge's are all different. read more

Under new management/owner. Devon has changed the place in all the best ways. Still could use some cosmetic upgrades, but the deli is fresh, generous, and a great value. Pass up Subway next time for a fresh carved turkey sub -- they are great and ~ 5 bucks. They have soups, rotisserie chicken, and a bunch of other daily fried/grilled specials, but the deli is the best thing they have going. I started going more regularly after they started filling growlers and they're constantly rotating the taps with seasonal and special release beer.
