Bob White knows his trees! Over the years I've used a few different tree services, the paperwork they demanded drove me bananas. (I've purchased a building with less paperwork.) With Bob, just one phone call and he promptly arrived to look over my trees. He treated them for insects and gave them fertilizer. His crew put the fertilizer in to the proper depth. I've seen other companies where the fertilizer tool is not pushed all the way into the ground and the fertilizer just goes sideways in the air. Bob had a well-equipped truck with all of the equipment and supplies he needs. Everything looked professional, and first class. Trees add a lot of value to any property. Realtors have told me stories about showing houses were they pull up in front of a house with no trees in the front yard. The prospective buyer will look no further, they won't even consider a house without trees. It can be hard to be a tree in North Texas, give them some help. They need more than just water. The price I paid, was about the same as others but with a lot less hassle. read more

It's a scam!! We had Mr. White come and tree one of our large oak tree's that was looking sick. I refer to him as Mr. White as he has no PhD in anything other than slick promises. He arrived and within 1 minute said awe yes, it's bugs and guaranteed he had the remedy, and could save the tree for a low, low price of $1200.00. within 1/2 hour they had drilled a hole and pours something in plugged the hole and were gone with the assurance the tree would be healthy in the spring at the latest. Well spring rolled around, and the tree was looking even worse. This time I was able to locate https://www.isa-arbor.com/For-the-Public which is the directory for all LICENSED Arborists!! I had one come out and look at the tree, he diagnosed it immediately as oak wilt and said he had never seen anyone try to stop oak wilt by the method Mr. white had used. We now have removed the tree and had the licensed accredited arborist tree the other red oak that is susceptible to oak wilt also. Believe me the treatment the actual arborist was completely different than that of Mr. White. FINAL NOTE: If you have a sick tree refer to the website I attached above and hire a real arborist, which was a 1/16 of the price to actual know how and if your tree can be saved. PS: I asked Mr. White what his doctorate was in, he responded it was a nickname he had been given years before, that in it's self should be warning enough!! read more

I have 2 large oak trees in my yard plus several smaller trees. Requested a look & see what was wrong & if it could be or needed to be treated for my 2 large oaks. Got a quote & Mr white telling me that they were in peril & also wanted to treat smaller trees as well. I couldn't afford quote for all trees so I had him treat 2 large oaks & 1 small maple. Spent over $2000. Come to find out that what is wrong with trees is not life threatening & treatment was not necessary. I give this service a zero!! read more

Mr. White promised he could and would save our trees. However, he did NOT test either tree to determine what was affecting them [which kind of insect(s), fungi, or combination]... This man showed up, sprayed some chemical pesticide and charged us $1200 for 30 minutes of "work" [spraying 2 small trees]. Mr. White said, "If there's no improvement by mid-July, give me a call and let me know." Well, there's been ZERO improvement. Called Mr. White... Mr. White completely changed his story/tune, saying, "There should NOT be improvement and that there's nothing to worry about -- don't worry until NEXT SPRING and IF they're still alive, THEN I will start seeing improvement." We're out $1200 with ZERO results -- results were GUARANTEED within 60 days but he's now saying results aren't expected for 9 months (IF there is improvement!!)..... Nearly everything out of this man's mouth seems to be an exaggeration or a flat out lie. (He even changed the reason for the 60-day follow-up, saying he just wanted to make sure they didn't die in those 60 days, LOL.... The death of a tree, caused by insects or fungi, is a SLOW process which takes YEARS to complete --- The worst of the 2 trees is LESS THAN 1/3rd DEAD (the other less than 1/5th), so why on earth would this alleged "Arborist" think one or both would all of a sudden die in those 60 days, with or without his involvement?!?!) With such good reviews on HomeAdvisor & AngiesList along with A+ BBB Rating, this is the last "Pro" I expected to have a problem with... having said that, I have to assume MOST of the positive reviews for this guy were left by his friends and family; or by people who didn't wait for the results of his "work" and just trusted that everything would eventually be as he said it would be. Lastly, aside from the ever-changing lies that spew out of this man's mouth -- he NEVER stops talking -- and he repeats himself endlessly... as if saying a lie again and again will somehow make it true. PS: On a side note... He bragged to me that he had, if I remember correctly, 39 Children. Yes, you read right; and I heard right. __ In hindsight, one should not expect a man with 39 children to be a Moral / Ethical human being; but since this is the only "Arborist" around with access to the pesticides needed, he's got a monopoly on the market and he knows it -- so why be moral or ethical when you have a monopoly on the market?! read more

I called him in Nov 2018 because my mother-in-law's pecan trees were producing bad pecans after decades of good pecans. He treated 7 pecan trees and 3 oaks that had oak wilt. I asked him what if the pecans are bad next fall, and he said to call him and he would take care of it. Now it's Nov 2019, and the oak trees do look better, but 75% of the pecans are bad, so I called him. He denied saying he would take care of it if the pecans were bad, and kept saying he isn't God, and nobody can make pecan trees produce good pecans. He kept asking if we wanted our money back and I said no, I just wanted him to keep his word. After a long argument, he asked me again if we wanted our money back, so I said yes, since he wasn't offering any other remedy. Then he started yelling and wouldn't let me talk, and hung up on me. I should have recorded him last year, because now it's my word against his. I will never use Bob White again and neither should you. Also, the poor guys that work for him don't wear gloves or goggles and they handled that mixture of insecticides and fungicides like it wasn't even dangerous. read more

If you have diseased trees and need someone to treat them, do NOT use Bob White or BW Insect Control & Tree Care. I chose him because he had an A+ rating with the BBB and professed Angie's List 2011 & 2012 Super Service Award. Bob White, the owner, sprayed my trees and the overspray stained my light colored stucco 2-story house a brown color (9.2.14). I called him and discussed the damage; he told me I should power wash it (9.30.14) that it was probably the iron in the chemicals - I am not sure why he would suggest that I power wash it knowing that I am a single female parent. I had handyman and painter look at it. I called and ask Mr White to come and look at it and maybe he could try to power wash it. He refused to even come see the damage. When I insisted that he either refund my money ($4,000-Ck#3071) or fix it, he hung up on me (10.14.14). This is not a very professional company!!. Very disappointing! How can this company possibly have a A+ rating or win any service award? read more

Terrible experience! I do not recommend his services. Bob White treated my two Red Oak trees a little over a year ago. The service for two trees cost us $1,400.00. He told me that I would see a difference by summer. Summer arrived and there was no change. I called him back and he told me to take pictures of the tree and text to him. He responded, saying the trees looked better and that they would be back 100% by next year. Who can tell the health of a tree from pictures. He should have came back out to look for himself, but of course he had already been paid. Well, this year rolled around and as I expected both trees still looked terrible. I called Bob so that he could come out and retreat the trees. Bob's response was that he doesn't warranty treatments. After multiple discussions he finally agreed to come back out and treat one tree, the one that was in the worst shape. He didn't even treat the other tree and it's still not healthy. A few weeks later I ended up cutting down the tree he treated twice. As it turned out, the center of the tree was dead. No amount of treatment would of fixed this problem. I have the pictures to prove it. As for the other tree, it's a matter of time before it has to come down. If you have serious tree problems, I recommend finding someone else to treat your trees. read more

Leonardo quoted me a price I thought to be reasonable and I scheduled the service. When Leo arrived and completed the removal of the tree, he stated he was finished. I asked about the stump and he said he didn't have the machine to do the grinding. I reminded him that I specifically asked for a quote for both services at the time of our initial conversation. He then said he would come back once receiving a request for another job that required stump grinding. I asked for an estimate of when he would likely return, he said approximately 1 week. Actually he texted 3 days later and asked if he could come by and grind the stump. I called to confirm a time and he said the price would be $100.00 extra. I informed him that I wasn't willing to pay that amount especially since he led me to believe that the cost of griding the stump was included in the original cost. He asked what did I want to pay, I gave him the figure that was quoted to me by another tree removal company. We agreed upon the amount. He did the grinding and I thought it was done correctly. However after receiving estimates from 2 tree removal and planting companies to replace the previous tree I was informed that the stump was not grounded as low as it could or should be. I texted Leo on June 3 and he did respond with "hello ma'am how are you? I replied and informed him about the information that was given me. He didn't reply, therefore on the morning of June 5, I texted again and left this message.... Hello Leonardo, I've tried contacting you and you are not responding. When I contacted you initially about removing the tree and grinding the stump you said you would do both for 120.00. However on the day you came to remove the tree you stated you didn't have the equipment and you would do it whenever you had another job that required utilizing the machine. You were not honest when you accepted the job because you led me to think the $120.00 was the cost for removal and grinding the stump. I overlooked the fact that you didn't honor your word and attempted to charge me $100.00 to remove the stump. When I refused you did lowered the cost to $65. After accessing the height of the stump that is still in the ground along with 3 other lawn service companies it has been accessed that the stump should have been ground more. Therefore based on these assessments I would like you to exhibit integrity and complete the job correctly. I could see that he was reading the messages but never responded. After several futile attempts to contact him via telephone calls I stopped trying to connect with him. I am disappointed because he was not honest nor was he willing to make the adjustments to fully complete the job. I agree Leo is nice but niceness should never be in lieu of performing services with honesty and integrity. I would never recommend Leo's Tree Service to anyone!!!

He quickly got me scheduled for today, Monday (just 2 days later), and knew I was at work, so he sent me a text message to let me know when they arrived this morning to get started. Then this afternoon, he sent me several texts letting me know they were finished and he sent me a dozen "before & after" pictures of the completed project. Extremely good follow up! He is very sincere about putting the customer's satisfaction above all else. He offered to come back and do anything that I wasn't completely satisfied with. Also, he was very knowledgeable about the different types of trees, how to treat them, what I can expect from them and how long it takes them to grow, etc. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs tree work done!

I have used dr. Bob white from bw insect control and tree care for servicing all of my trees shrubs,and lanscaping for the last ten years or longer. Im a real estate buying , and purchasers of homes all over north texas and i have never had any kind of problems or issues or damage of any kind from treatment that he services. I have always obtained the highest success and survival rates for all of my trees, shrubs and landscaping. In the professional business that im in you meet and come in contact with a lot of people that say they will do the job but its hard to find a company that actually can. I highly recommend dr. Bob White is the best in the business hands down.I've used him for over 10 years to treat large trees and shrubs at both my residence and commercial property. We have several 50-year-old oaks which Bob has saved from serious insect disease on two occasions. I have a 40-year-old pecan tree on my business property which everyone thought was dead. It had lost all its leaves by early September and was dripping sap. Bob told me not to worry and by the next spring, it was in great shape. That was 3 years ago and everyone that comes by our business comments on our beautiful pecan tree. My son also had a very expensive oak in his front yard which Bob rescued after it lost most of its leaves in early spring. *Approximate Cost: $1,150.00 Provided root treatment for three trees (1 red oak, 1 live oak & 1 silver leaf maple) to both root feed the trees and kill infections inside the trees - particularly the silver leaf maple. The Silver Leaf Maple is about 26 years old and I was about ready to cut it down. Bob White convinced me to allow him to treat the tree September 2012 but told me it would talk until the spring (2013) to see the difference. Both of the Oaks are substantially healthier and greener than similar trees on my street. The Silver Leaf Maple appears to be rebounding very well, and if I can save this very old tree, then I will be very pleased and surprised. And right now - it looks as though it will do well. Dr. Bob is very good and knowledgeable about trees. Last summer many of my trees were showing signs of stress. I have a property with numerous trees and I was very concerned about a very old tree that had browning leaves. I feared that it was oak wilt. I am not sure that it was, but it really looked like it. I thought I was going to lose my tree, which in my estimation is about 80 years old. Dr. Bob came and treated that tree and the others and right now they look very healthy. Even the tree I thought would die is doing really well. Right now Dr. Bob is treating that tree to give it another treatment so that it is strong for the rigor of the summer. I truly believe that Dr. White helped my tree survive, and gave my other trees a needed boost. read more
