I was looking for a photographer in the Brentwood area as a graduation gift for my niece. She was…read moregraduating high school, and I wanted to make this moment extra special for her. I came across Kree's Yelp page because of how close she was, but what really stood out was her website--the caliber and vibrancy of her photos were incredible. I knew right away she'd be a perfect fit for capturing my niece, both in her cap and gown and in her super colorful prom dress (which I was confident Kree could do justice!). From the moment I reached out, Kree was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The contract was simple and straightforward, pricing was fair and the breakdown of her packages were awesome. and she helped us agree on a time and location that worked perfectly, not far from our house either, which was a huge plus. On the day of the shoot, Kree arrived right on time and immediately made my niece feel comfortable. Since it was my niece's first time being professionally photographed, I appreciated how Kree guided her with poses and gave her direction to bring out her best angles. She was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience fun. We received the edited photos about two weeks later, and they were amazing, better than I could have imagined. Kree truly captured my niece's personality and the significance of the moment. My family and I just finished up a family/sibling/newborn session with Lori, and without even…read morehaving seen the photos yet, the experience alone was amazing! Lori has such a fun, friendly, and upbeat personality, which greeted us upon entrance to her adorable studio. She even had our newborn baby's name written on the sign outside to welcome us, which I regrettably forgot to take a picture of. :( We knew to plan for about a three hour session, as all of the information we needed to prepare was sent by Lori via email as well as conveniently available on her website. Lori was so patient and really took her time in order to get the best shots- immediately recommending that the baby be fed so she would be sleepy for photos. Watching Lori at work was inspiring- so meticulous in her posing of the family and baby, making sure that every last hair was in place and every little detail was captured. She was also great about ensuring adequate time for diaper changes and nursing, understanding that these elements are critical in the ability to capture a beautiful photograph. I'm beyond excited to see the final resulting images, and overall extremely happy with our decision to work with Lori in capturing such a precious time in our lives- the welcoming of our newborn daughter. Terry presents the elements of composition not only from the more predictable attention to depth of field and such but, from a more technical, scientific side of what makes a image more appealing. He presents how old master artists used mathematics Golden Ratio to construct their paintings and then shows you how you can apply these same principles to improve your photographs. Although it is a different class, you still get the same Terry. He is engaged, patient, attentive and makes the class light and fun. He encourages questions and does not bog you down with photography jargon that you might not even know. You can't go wrong with Terry!

I was slightly skeptical when Terry mentioned he would be going through some of the more fundamental topics of how to use your DSLR but was pleasantly surprised when I found that I had a lot to take away from the course. The class itself was a smaller setting which was really nice. It took place at Terry's Image Light Photography Studio. It ended up being one other person and myself making the class more engaging and interactive. Terry went through the class at a comfortable pace, made it interactive by having us use our cameras during specific topics to reinforce learnings and happily answered the numerous questions I threw at him. Overall, it was a great foundational course for those just getting into photography or for those needing a refresher (like myself). I plan to take his Exposure class in the near future.

From the beginning of the process, he was excellent at communication and allowed us the freedom to choose our location. We went with Ghirardelli Square, which is notoriously crowded on weekends. Nonetheless, Dawid was willing to accommodate our wishes and find the shots despite the crowd. We really had fun shooting with Dawid. He gave direction with posing which was a huge relief for me and my fiance. At the end of the session, we were both in such a great mood, and could not wait to see what he had captured. About a week later, we received our photographs and were blown away. We could not believe that was us. The way he composed the shots was so artistic. Nina is FANTASTIC! I couldn't be happier with the senior portraits she took of my son Jacob. When…read morewe spoke about scheduling the appointment I explained that my son wanted some of the photos with his 69' Mustang and wow did she deliver. She scouted out the perfect location on a dead end road that allowed for photos of to be taken safely in the street and around the car as if he was driving. Her attention to details made our time really special. She started the session by asking Jacob what his favorite music was, which she played throughout the shoot. She had also suggested that if he had a pair of favorite sunglasses to bring them - something I wouldn't have thought of and it really helped capture the vibe of what he was looking for. Our time allowed for multiple outfit changes and locations. The light that Nina was able to capture in the photos was stunning. Within hours of our session Nina had even texted me a handful of 'teaser' shots, something I expected to be waiting weeks for.
