I was looking for a photographer in the Brentwood area as a graduation gift for my niece. She was…read moregraduating high school, and I wanted to make this moment extra special for her. I came across Kree's Yelp page because of how close she was, but what really stood out was her website--the caliber and vibrancy of her photos were incredible. I knew right away she'd be a perfect fit for capturing my niece, both in her cap and gown and in her super colorful prom dress (which I was confident Kree could do justice!). From the moment I reached out, Kree was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The contract was simple and straightforward, pricing was fair and the breakdown of her packages were awesome. and she helped us agree on a time and location that worked perfectly, not far from our house either, which was a huge plus. On the day of the shoot, Kree arrived right on time and immediately made my niece feel comfortable. Since it was my niece's first time being professionally photographed, I appreciated how Kree guided her with poses and gave her direction to bring out her best angles. She was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience fun. We received the edited photos about two weeks later, and they were amazing, better than I could have imagined. Kree truly captured my niece's personality and the significance of the moment. After our baby boy was born, my wife and I realized that amidst the chaos, we never scheduled a newborn photoshoot as we planned. Therefore, we had to find a photographer that had an opening within a week's timeframe, was located within our area, and had fair pricing. Among the photographers we reached out to, Laura satisfied all 3 and was highly communicative and accommodating and made for an easy choice. Ahead of the photoshoot, Laura helped us preplan different poses, accessories, and backgrounds. We had an idea to pose our baby as part of an Asian Dim Sum set with no expectation that Laura could execute it but she encouraged it and got us excited about it. During the shoot, Laura's studio was perfectly set up for our baby and she took precautions as well (facemask, gloves, etc). She was also super adept at swaddling and calming our baby to sleep, so much so that as new parents, we learned some new techniques from her! Laura even accommodated our dog and we were able to incorporate him into a few photos. The photoshoot went very smooth and we felt grateful to have one of the first milestone experiences with our baby. After the photoshoot, we were able to select our favorite ones and Laura made all the necessary edits with a quick turnaround time. We're more than satisfied with our photos and have been very proud to use them in baby announcements and registry thank you cards to our friends and family.

I was slightly skeptical when Terry mentioned he would be going through some of the more fundamental topics of how to use your DSLR but was pleasantly surprised when I found that I had a lot to take away from the course. The class itself was a smaller setting which was really nice. It took place at Terry's Image Light Photography Studio. It ended up being one other person and myself making the class more engaging and interactive. Terry went through the class at a comfortable pace, made it interactive by having us use our cameras during specific topics to reinforce learnings and happily answered the numerous questions I threw at him. Overall, it was a great foundational course for those just getting into photography or for those needing a refresher (like myself). I plan to take his Exposure class in the near future.
