Dr Nguyen is a top notch doctor.I am an RN, but know little about the eyes. He kindly explained things to me about cataracts, not once but twice on some things. Surgery was a breeze. Surgery Center was professional. I was not nervous, even before the sedative :) The office staff was also very kind. The front was friendly and Dr Nguyen's helpers were relaxed and even joked. I, as a nurse highly recommend Dr Nguyen or his fellow optometrist for any medical issues telated to the eyes that you may encounter, now or in the future. read more

Drs. Meredith Hartman and Charles Ronan carefully described their cataract procedures and what to expect from them. The reality was painless, masterful, actually better than they said, yet nevertheless surpassed by their aftercare. I had expected brief encounters "like ships that pass in the night" but what had begun as a series of very professional clinic visits evolved into warm personal connections that actually made the total experience a delight instead of something to fear. The anesthesiologist, Lisa Corstvet, MD, was very disappointing. Lisa provided drops in the left eye, and the tech provided the drops in the right eye. I requested no anesthesia. I was charged 900.00. When I questioned her, I was told she stood and monitored. A clear understanding of cost was a major issue with this procedure, including the surgery center. BVA physicians and staff were incredibly supportive, but additional elements as above were very disappointing. read more

We are extremely pleased with the expert and meticulous care given by Dr Britton and his staff at "BVA" in Edmond. I had cataract surgery 3 years ago and now i have 20/20 vision for reading and distance (after wearing glasses and contacts for 55 years.) it is truly an amazing transformation! Dr Britton performed my husband's cataract surgery this past month. His new interocular lenses are the newest type: PanOptix Trifocals. He had worn bifocal glasses for over 20 years & now has 20/20 vision for reading and distance AND the in-between vision too! We are amazed how white, colorful & bright everything is now and how we can see better than ever before. We love BVA and Dr Britton and his wonderful staff! We highly recommend BVA!! read more

Tre and Dr Nguyen were great. They explained everything to me and and were very thorough. I recommend not wearing mascara if you are going to get your eyes numbed, ultrasound, and dilated. And make sure you have someone to drive you home after. read more

I had cataracts, they snuck up on me till one day I literally can't see. My eye doctor referred me to BVA, Dr Britton. My wife had used BVA years ago so I felt comfortable with them. Over the past few weeks I've had both eyes operated on and I could not be happier with my doctor and BVA. The nurses, receptionist and office staff here are top notch, businesslike and kind. read more

First I want to say that at the S Western office the staff and ophthalmologist were all very polite and professional. I believe I received excellent eye care. However, before the appointment I received a text that masks were required. But when I walked into the crowded waiting room only 2 people were wearing masks. With Covid Delta cases rising this made me feel very uneasy. Knowing OK has low vaccination rates I almost canceled on the spot even though I am vaccinated and wore a mask. During actual testing roughly 1/2 staff I encountered wore masks. I was therefore very uneasy most of the time. Not sure I'll return to that office next year even though that office is closest. Update: All of my other Dr. offices "require" masks and this is strictly enforced, mandate or no mandate. Medical facilities CAN and SHOULD require them. If BVA is not going to require masks then that should be stated to help others like me who have health concerns to consider when making an appointment during a pandemic. I stand by my review and now, considering the lacking interest in keeping all patients safe, I know I shall not return to BVA. read more

I have always wanted to see without the frustrations of glasses (getting dirty, falling off face while working out, falling off nightstand, etc...) and my eyes couldn't breath with contacts. I was disappointed when I found out that I wasn't a good candidate for LASIK, but Dr. Britton at BVA was amazing at walking me through the option of ICL. He was straight forward with pros and cons and didn't push me into anything, but I decided to do it and he did an amazing job! I can finally see with 20/15! The staff is amazing and I highly recommend them. read more

My experience with BVA was, unfortunate. My Optometrist referred me to BVA. As a new patient I took the first available appointment which was 2 months after the referral. (Understandable) After completing all documentation on BVA's website and confirming my appointment via email and text; I arrived 10 minutes early and checked in. I then waited , without explanation or any attempt to communicate to me the cause of delay for a further 50 minutes past my appointment time. Frankly, I am a reasonable person and had I been informed of a problem with the Physician or even of the fact that they were over-booked; I would not have liked it but I would have understood. I confess that I have no idea why any business treats a client in that fashion. After the 50 minutes had elapsed, I went to the desk and informed them that if this was an example of their time management, (which I must conclude based upon the evidence was a complete disregard for my time) I would find another Physician for my healthcare needs. I asked that they destroy any records I had previously provided (and I believe that is covered under HIPPA) cancelled the appointment and left the building. read more

Due to their error I had to pay over $200 before my surgery in order to have it. They had incorrectly filed on my insurance. I have several times with no response after leaving messages. I decided to call and see if I could get the person I needed....well they answered! When I explained that I received what my insurance was paying and asked if I would get a refund....she stated that they had to wait 30 days to see what insurance was paying before seeing what my balance was. I again asked if I would receive my refund after that. She went thru her speech again about having to wait 30 days to see what my balance was. I again said would I receive a refund then. Dr. Taylor not only diagnosed me right away, he has absolutely incredible bedside manner! After seeing two ophthalmologist at Dean McGee, not only could they not find the diagnoses, but I received the worst bedside manner I have ever experience! Dr. Taylor was my third opinion. I wish he would have been my first. It would have not only saved me stress, but would have saved a lot of time and money. I highly recommend this place and this doctor. read more
