So for those staying at the Hyatt, and looking for tourist items to buy (Hyatt's gift shop is quite lacking), take a look at this store and dine at the surrounding restaurants (Ava, Jimmie and Sooks, RAR brewpub). I asked for a side of their Horne's special dressing and our side item was Mac and cheese. Despite the busy restaurant our food came out quickly. The hot dogs were just ok. The chili on them was soup chili (as opposed to hot dog chili) so it had beans. Not my favorite. Also, I just didn't love the chili flavor. Adding shredded cheese to the dogs cost $1.39 which seemed kinda ridiculous for 25 pieces of shredded cheese. The mac and cheese looked great but was kinda flavorless. All in all, I can see why this is a favorite spot but my visit was just ok.

I offered to pay the extra 50¢ to purchase another bag but she only would accept cash, or require me to spend another $5.00 on credit! It amazing how after spending $80 she would not just give me another bag for the heavy items. These peanuts are larger, drier, crunchier than others I've tried, and they have so many flavors. I don't mind peanuts, but they're not my favorite snack. In addition to the peanuts, they also sell the typical things one might find in a touristy gift shop. There's candles, magnets, tee shirts, and other items that say Virginia on them. I liked the outdated look of this little store. The lady working here was very friendly, if it weren't for her I would never know about the Virginia peanuts.

Talk about walking into the saddest gift shop I've ever been to... It took 15 minutes to buy a shot…read moreglass lol. My friend and I were going around Richmond trying to find any souvenir shop for some swag. Little did we know that this be one of the only places that sells general RVA items to take home with you. Finally found a good shot glass and it seemed like an easy $5 purchase... The old lady cashier... Bless her heart. She did not know how to use the Quickbook App on the computer and asked us to come behind the counter to figure it out. At the end of it, she asked if we could pay in cash and we had to calculate the tax for her. Lols. She couldn't have just given it to me for 5 bucks. She was friendly but I could tell that there really aren't a lot of customers that pass by here. Save some time and just get your goods at the airport if you're flying out, or stop by a museum.
