Absolutely incredible! I brought my four year old here for her first haircut. Neysa was amazing. She was so communicative and quick. The whole experience was so special. Neysa was patient and encouraging while my four year old chose nail polish colors. She even suggested painting each nail a different color, which I was so impressed by and of course my daughter wanted that. Neysa has prepared for everything. She had a Disney movie on and a tablet at the ready for entertainment. My daughter's hair turned out great. She only got a trim, but her hair immediately looked fuller and healthier. The braid and bow at the end were the cherry on top, followed by a treasure chest pick. We will 100% be back!!
My son has been getting his hair cut here for 3yrs now. Ms.Neysa is wonderful person! Works great with my son. Price is reasonable! and plenty of parking spots!
We loved Ne.!!! My son has been with her since he was 10 months and she is the most sweet and kind person. She personalized the experience and very very patient with babies and parents (sometimes we are a little to much) She does the job really fast and is great for the kiddos and it's done perfectly and as a parent we love it My son is 4 years old now and I'm not going to lie we have try other places and omg terrible idea, they always ended up ruined my sons hair.
I couldn't have asked for a better first haircut experience for my daughter! She's newly 4 years old and up until recently I've been able to manage her gorgeous curls but with the weather change and curls just being generally thirsty, it was finally time for a good trim. I had received such great references from my local mom group on FB that I was more than willing to make the drive from Oceanside to San Marcos for an appointment. My daughter is generally pretty reasonable but sometimes has a hard time with new and unfamiliar situations, and expressed several times on the drive to our appointment that she didn't want a haircut so I was nervous. Neysa met us and let us in the door, taking us back to her studio. The bright yellow walls in her studio are cheery and welcoming, the tv with some monster truck cartoon playing was an immediate distraction, as was the assortment of cars, trucks, planes etc that my daughter grabbed and brought over to the chair. Neysa took a moment to explain what she was about to do, reassured that nothing would hurt and got straight to work. She also had a few different tablet choices, so my daughter picked one and was good to go. Neysa worked quickly and efficiently, communicating each step to both my daughter as well as myself and my husband (ie "I'm going to spray some water now," "we're going to put a cape on so your clothes don't get wet") so there were no off-putting surprises. Nothing felt rushed and despite working on a moving target like all kids tend to be, she was finished in no time. Neysa then offered to paint her nails but my daughter declined, so she offered a pretty braid and pulled out her phone to show options, of which my daughter chose a heart which was completed in minutes. She also got to pick a pretty bow for her finished hair, as well as a lollipop and a treasure from the treasure chest. It was such a fun experience for all of us and I couldn't have asked for anything better! My daughter left feeling beautiful and proud of herself for facing her fears, which is the best outcome of all. I definitely don't plan on waiting another 4 years to get her another haircut but I am already looking forward to her next one! I would rate more stars if I could, 5 just doesn't seem to do justice. We will definitely be back, and will be referring anyone else looking for a haircut for their kiddo. Thank you SO much for your skill and patience, Neysa!
Neysa is amazing!! This is our second time getting a cut with her and I won't take my girl anywhere else! She's quick, efficient and SO friendly! Not to mention the adorable braid selection and nail painting! Just perfection! Thank you, Neysa!!!!
Amazing first experience all around. Full haircut comes with haircut, style + nails painted and it did not disappoint. My daughter and I LOVED the experience. Neysa did such a great job and service was quick. She was kind and the vibes were great My daughter loved everything about it. I know it's something she wont forget as a first time. Will most definitely be coming back for all her haircuts!! I love how quick and easy it was to schedule. Really love the option of texting to schedule. Service was professional, quick and loved all the little goodies that was given to my daughter.
Today was our second time at Buzzes n' Beehives and we were once again extremely happy with Neysa's services. For $33, she gave my 3 year old a much needed haircut, braided her hair in the cutest heart-shaped style (there are couple options to choose from), let her pick a bow, painted her nails, and gave her a lollipop (she asks parents if it's ok first). Neysa is also very responsive and always on time. She is open on Saturdays and Sundays which works great with the kids' schedules. 100% recommend!!
We have been here twice (so fand Neysa has been absolutely amazing with my son. She is very quick and attentive even though my son tries to push her away. Neysa does her best to ensure that my son feels comfortable. The little salon chair she has with the steering wheel definitely distracts him from what is happening. We will definitely continue to be customers at Buzzes 'n Beehives.
Wow! 5 star experience with Neysa! She was so friendly and explained everything to make my 3 year olds first haircut a success! My shy daughter felt so comfortable and patiently let her cut and braid her hair! She even painted her nails! We got a cute certificate and locket of her hair to keep. I couldn't have asked for a better "first" haircut and we will certainly be back! Thank you!
Neysa is amazing! She always helps my kids feel comfortable and at ease. There are toys, tablets, games, and movies to keep everyone entertained too! She's always on time and happy. Both my kids had their first cuts here. She gives a certificate and a lock souvenir. The cut ends with nails painted and a treasure from the treasure box!
Neysa is the best. We have been going maybe close to a year now and my son not only looks forward to his haircuts because the salon is so geared towards little ones but also because he gets a little treat or toy when he's done. And I look forward to it because he walks out of there looking fresh to death. We will always go to Neysa for our cuts. She is good with kids and gives the best haircuts.

I wish I would have found Ms. Neysa ages ago! We've been coming to her now for approximately 2 years and she is just such a gem. Her ability to work quickly with a squirming toddler is admirable. Her set up is perfect for multiple small children to wait because she has cute toys and then a TV if your children prefer to watch. She has always made the experience pleasant and I feel it is directly related to how my sons have been able to sit through their haircuts now at ages 4 and 2. We'll be coming to her for as long as she's in business! read more

We've been going to see Neysa for over two years now, and she's still our go-to gal for our little guy! He's very slow to warm, but she puts a gown on me, we sit him in my lap and he also gets a gown. And then he happily watches whatever is on the tv she is showing. The first handful of visits she only used scissors to cut his hair. But when I asked to go shorter, she gave him ample time to get used to the sound and let him feel the vibrations before attempting to cut his hair. While he has gotten a mouthful of hair a few times because he's so ticklish, she is so kind and patient with him. We always finish with time to spare and he loves to pick out a prize from her prize box or play with her toys! We now have a standing appointment every 8 weeks to see her and keep my guy looking fresh! read more

We brought our three year old for her first haircut today and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Neysa was so attentive and patient with our little one. I have been taking my twin boys to Neysa since they were babies (7 now) and now it was my youngest a turn. I text for an appointment and it was quick and easy to get in. My daughter was nervous about her first haircut so she was shy and didn't talk. Neysa welcomed her, got her in the chair put on a kindle movie (off to a great start)! My daughter got a 7" trim, her nails painted with glitter on top, a heart braid in her hair with glitter. It was the cutest treatment day for her! When we left my daughter said "Mom, that was awesome!" Thank you Neysa, YOU are awesome! read more

I am so beyond thankful that I found Neysa! My hair stylist works in the same building and highly recommended her. I was taking my kids to Great Clips previously and had a very bad experience at our last visit. So done with that! Neysa responded super quickly to my initial text message inquiry for an appt and was very easy to work with. My first appt with her was for my 5 year old son. She is so wonderful and patient with kids! That and she is super quick! My son was trimmed up and styled within 15 minutes. Today my 9 1/2 year old daughter had an appt with her and it was again a very fun, easy appointment. My daughter really enjoyed chatting with Neysa while getting her hair cut. Like previous reviews stated girls get a manicure and braid included with their service which is amazing! Neysa's pricing is very reasonable, the salon is so cute (she has a chair just for toddlers with a little steering wheel attached), she has a tablet with games such as Minecraft, Roblox, etc (which my daughter flipped out over), and she offers a wide variety of products for detangling, conditioning, etc. Paying her via Zelle is also very convenient! I believe she also accepts Apple Pay. Look no further if you are searching for a stylist for your child!! read more

This was our 2y old's first haircut and he/ we had no idea what to expect since our oldest didn't get a haircut til he was 5 or 6. No waiting time since it was by appointment. Neysa met us out front of Sola Salon. She totally knew what to expect from this little guy, definitely a pro. I asked my husband um, how tf are we gonna make him chill long enough for a haircut?? But we showed her a picture (we got from her Yelp page lol) and the whole cut took less than 10 min.. enough little jingly things connected to the chair to keep him busy. She quickly showed him the loud buzzer, tapped it to her hand to show it wouldn't hurt and then got right to it. He has a double-part head so i was really curious how it would come out. Looks great! She took that and his very fine hair into account, we got it short enough to stop rubbing his eyes and long enough to put a tiny bit of gel in it, just like we asked. At the end, she put a lock of his hair in a tiny ziploc stapled to the cute little "first haircut" certificate she gave to us :) I would have completely forgot that was a thing mommies did til it was too late. Very much recommend her for little ones. So affordable and well worth the price. The next weekday that our oldest has a day off I wanna see what she can do for him! read more

Neysa is the BEST! Super friendly and made my daughter comfortable with her first haircut! I took my 3 year old daughter here for the first time and had a great experience! Neysa was so kind and attentive, and did a wonderful job with her. With the purchase of a haircut, you get the child's nails painted (color of choice) in addition to choosing a style of braid. Not to mention a lollipop and iPad to watch whatever she liked while getting her hair done. We will definitely be back in the future! read more
