On the day of his trip as soon as I arrived, he was on time and ready to go. My boyfriend and his friends went on this trip coming back with dinner for weeks. They caught multiple of fishes in a variety of sizes. My boyfriend non stop talked about how his first boat charter experience was extremely a trip he would not forget.. it was at the point he was ready to book another one. Not only did they caught many fishes but Captain Josh was extremely friendly and made the whole crew really comfortable! I totally recommend and totally will book with Captain Josh again!

You cannot leave a voicemail as his mailbox is always full. I literally sent 14 texts with no replies. At 10pm the night before and 7 hours from departure, he texts to say that he got a splinter or something in his toe and was waiting at the ER for 3 hours. Ok, dude...well, if you were waiting for 3 hours then you could send a text saying you had to cancel, no?. So, I rescheduled. Same scenario. No communications. I called another phone number on the website and it was his brother (who is no longer affiliated and lives in Texas). He tells me to show up and his brother will meet us at 5am. We show up and guess what? He's not there! Surprise! I called him at 5:00am, 5:15am, 5:30am. Nothing. He calls me at 5:45am and says "Oh, I don't usually leave until 6am. I thought I called you". Wait, WHAT? Am I in the friggin Twilight Zone here?? You thought you called me?? GTFOH...Turns out that it was too windy to go fishing. That, and he said he didn't feel like going because his toe hurt. Ok, dude...Time to reschedule...again. I asked him why sometimes dates are blocked on the website and he says "because tourists suck". Nice. So here we are. Next trip coming up. Texted him to confirm. No response. I am shocked. Texted him to refund my deposit because let's face it...this dude sucks and I cannot believe he is still in business. Skipped the BS and called my bank to file a dispute. Moral of this story? Save yourself from the same torture and book a charter from a reputable business...this guy is a joke.

So I went straight to the source and connected with Mike Morrison, who was not only professional and honest, but genuinely invested in making our family kayak dream happen. He even dropped a discount code like a true Cape Cod MVP. The experience? Unreal. We paddled out to a private beach only accessible by boat--and it was to die for. Calm waters, untouched shoreline, and the kind of peace that makes you forget your inbox exists. I still can't believe people get to do this regularly. It was truly memorable, and Rideaway made it seamless. They also offer sunset tours and paddle board rentals, which we're already eyeing for next time. The staff? Mostly young, but super informative, professional, and full of good vibes. Rideaway doesn't just rent gear--they curate moments. Boomsauce Scale B- basura (trash) BS basic (come on! I lost two brand new batteries, two bilge pumps, a water pump, burst water line, and the boat was filthy when I picked it up. He took zero responsibility for the damage and during my dispute of the bill, the owner actually showed up at my house and caused a scene in front of my family and neighbors. I had to call the police to remove him. Fair Warning

I brought my classic banana boat BW outrage here last winter; the hull needed some work, the gas…read moretank was leaking (which I did not know at the time), none of the gauges worked, and the 25 year old motor was not working. Tom Duce assured me that he had years of experience working on "old mercuries" and that he would have no problem tuning it up. The hull work looked good, and the mechanic Tim installed new gauges which I bought for a better price than he would get. He missed the leaky gas tank initially, and then installed the new tank that I ordered from Florida. So far, so good. Unfortunately, we both talked ourselves into working on the motor which he initially put 1.5G into. When he gave me the boat back after having it for 4 months, I tried starting it in the driveway - didn't start because of not having a fuel bulb on the new circuit. Simple mistake? Ok, so I took it back, Tim put on a new bulb. Didn't start. Now, it looks like more electrical parts are fried and need replacing. Why wasn't the motor checked at that point? Tim showed me the cracked insulation that apparently caused the short and the "fry-ing" -- why was this not noted before? Questions and bills were mounting, but I again put trust in owner Tom and mechanic Tim. Two weeks later I was shown the motor spinning in a tub of water for a full 2 minutes, and handed a bill for another 2G, including 9 hours of labor! A few days later I put it in the water -- it didn't get 1/4 mile out before the motor stopped and would not start again. This time I called in exasperation and was told that he would make a house call (45 minutes away) with his mechanic Tim. Never showed up. I left several messages that were not returned. When he finally answered my phone call, I asked for some labor costs back for a motor that obviously wasn't fixed. When I told him that he needed a higher threshold of safety to assure that a motor was working, he asked if I was done "blabbering." I took the boat to a different mechanic who diagnosed yet another electrical problem. I don't fault Tom Duce for an aging motor. I do hold him responsible for releasing a boat that had not been tested, for not returning my many calls and messages, and for failing to take responsibility for a job that was poorly done. By the way, both Tom and Tim smoke almost continuously. Between drags of cigarettes and the hunting around for the right tool amidst the mess that I saw, it is any wonder that either one gets any work done - and I wonder what the labor costs were really for. Do yourself a favor. Stay away.
