A really fun bingo hall. It is easy to join and you can start playing straight away. They have…read moregames on every day of the week, so it is not hard to join a game. The bingo hall now has electronic screens now to play the bingo on, so you simply tap the screen and the number is automatically crossed off for you. It also means that you can have several bingo sheets going at the same time and it will arrange them for you automatically so you can easily see what is happening. On some nights there are special offers on so the bingo is a bit cheaper, or you get a free dinner when you go. You can order food and drinks right from your electronic station and they get delivered to you, you don't even have to get up! There are slot machines to play on whilst you are waiting for the games to start, if you want to play on those. The bingo hall sits around 200 people, though it is rarely completely full. It is mostly elderly people who go there, but I do think its quite fun.. even if me and my friends are the youngest people there!

This is one of the quieter halls however it is the only one i have won in so i like it!…read more Prices vary depending on what night of the week you go and there is £1 cashlink bingo to play inbetween sessions. I highly reccomend the burger they serve in here ... its awesome! The menu is cheap but the food is actually really good. They dont mind you bringing in your own juice and munchies too. Its a way for me and my friend to have a cheap night and catch up so go on give it a go!!
The amazing Mecca Burger!
Right, well I have been here a good deal more times recently and I am now in love with the place…read more It offers a free Wednesday night where you can play and have a chance of winning, with nothing at risk. My flatmate has won £50 a couple of weeks a go, and only last week another flatmate of mine won £10, whilst I won £5. So between us we have made £75, and lost nothing!
I was amazed at the sheer size of this bingo hall when I went in - it was huge and quite deceiving…read morefrom outside. I went on my own and found the staff very friendly and helpful to a novice like me. I did think it was quite expensive to play but having never played before I did not know if this was the usual rate to play Bingo. The toilets were clean and the food was fine. It was good fun and a good way to pass a dreary winter's afternoon.
Burroughs club is located in the South Carbrain area of Cumbernauld not far from Cumbernauld Train…read moreStation. The club provides a place for members to have a drink with friends and perhaps a game or two of pool or darts in the games room. It also houses a good sized hall where there is often entertainment as well as the opertunity to hire this hall for functions. It is relitivly easy to get here with the proximity to the railway station they are well searved by public transport and for those choosing to take the car there is a good sized car park at the club. The staff offer a friendly welcome and there is a good atmosphere. Although there is wheelchair access you do have to ask for the gates to be opened by a member of staff as you have to enter by the games room which has an outside fenced area. There is also a disabled toilet although it is a bit tricky to get into as you have to go through a small room to get to it.

My friends and I LOVE a bit of unofficial bingo. By unofficial I mean travel bingo on the plane…read morewhen we go on holiday or bingo at the end of a pub quiz where the prize is a tenner. However we thought we would have a go at hardcore bingo and as such ended up at Mecca Bingo at the Springfield Quay. First of all we all had to become members by registering through the website, and then it was a torturous wait until our welcome letters and membership cards were delivered! It was the longest 5 to 7 days of my life! On our first night there we parked in our "members only" parking spaces and entered the hug foyer and sort of hung about wondering what we were supposed to do next. Eventually we tagged along behind a group of blue rinse wonders and copied what they did. they asked for bingo sheets with elaborate names in what sounded like another language and we just said, "Umm same as them please." When we got into the bingo hall itself it was massive with tables which sat groups of four dotted around the bingo caller who was on a huge podium in the centre of the room. It was remarkably high tech with big screens flasging up the numbers as they were called. There was also a bar (thank God) and you can buy pub type snacks like crisps and peanuts. We stood out like sore thumbs and had "newcomers" written all over us. We didin't have a clue what sheet we were supposed to be on and whether we were playing for a line or a house or whatever the other options are! We kept on getting shushed for talking; these ladies take their bingo very seriously! I can understand why though as there was usually hundreds or even thousands of pounds up for grabs during most games, or is it rounds, who knows? It was an interesting experience but out membership has long since been cancelled and we have stuck to the unofficial bingo ever since. We were mega disappointed that no one actually shouted bingo just "HERE!" or "ARRGG!" and the caller didn't do any of the cheesy chat that is the best part of bingo. You know like, "Two little ducks, 22, quack quack." and all that stuff.
Never thought I would see the day I was writing a review on the Mecca Bingo at the Quay...but here…read morewe are, haha! I'm not ashamed to admit it (or maybe a little) but I don't mind the odd bingo night with my friends! Long gone are the days of the blue rinse brigade calling the shots in these clubs;it's definitely appealing to a younger audience and I think this club reflects that. Could I go constantly? Nope, I'd be bored to death. But once a month catching up with friends, I have no problem with. I'll let you know if we ever win anything decent..haha! This hall is large and holds a lot of people. The Q Bar is upstairs which is a nice area to sit, have a drink (they don't have the best cocktail menu but all the alcoholic drinks are well priced) and just chat whilst you play. You can also order food in the hall (again, reasonably priced) and I can confirm that it's not half bad...not the best meal you'll ever have but on par with Wetherspoons. So yeah...you play bingo (shock horror!). Actually, the games don't run on that long and there are a lot of intervals which gives my friend and I time to catch up. We go for the social aspect and it works well for a mid week catch up. There are plenty of toilets and everything is clean/tidy. The staff are pretty nice too and happy to help where they can. They try telling the odd joke...and fail miserably. Overall, it's a nice evening out and we always have a giggle!
A great wee bingo club thats been here for a long time. Theres 2 or 3 main sessions of bingo each…read moreday as well as mini bingo inbetween. There is a small arcade area, a well stocked bar and a cafeteria which sells a range of snacks & meals. There is a small car park but you need to get there early for a space or you'll need to park within the near by streets. Staff are helpful but the place could really do with some extra staff on their busier nights and at the weekend.
