The person answering the phone was very understanding and we arranged an after hours emergency call for that same day. Imagine my surprise when I got a call at 10:00 AM informing me that the plumber was on his way. The plumber (Carter) arrived , evaluated the situation, and made the repair quickly, efficiently and cleanly. In fact, the repair was much less expensive than expected. Thanksgiving saved! Discovered a leak where solder was used at an elbow on the cold water line to the boiler at 1830…read more The company was able to send someone out that evening, which was a blessing since other companies would only make appointments for the following day. The plumber who showed up was courteous and knowledgeable. The plumber even hung around after 10 pm just to make sure there were no issues with the repair. The reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that the leak was due to failed solder at an elbow. For some reason, their trucks are not stocked with solder rods and by the time he assessed the situation, it was too late to go to a hardware store. He ended up replacing the copper elbow, which cost a lot more money, incurred more logistics with shutting off water to the boiler, draining the line, re-pressurizing the system, and had him stay at the house for over 2 hrs when it could have been completed in 15 minutes by sweating new solder onto the pipe elbow.

If my valve hadn't been leaking I would have told him NO to everything. We're seniors in our mid 70s and we were taken for a ride. Never use Roto-Rooter services.

I had attempted to replace a garbage disposal, but had an issue with a pipe falling apart. I emailed Rick after 9pm that night, and he responded to my email by calling before 8am the next morning. On the phone call, Rick clearly explained the work to be completed. Rick made the service call himself early in the afternoon, and resolved my issues quickly. He was able to access our crawl space, and navigate his way down there to running a new pipe for my kitchen sink. He installed the Garbage disposal, and cleared the clogged sink drain. The work was performed professionally, quickly.. and priced reasonably. The bill clearly listed all work performed, and detailed pricing. I will certainly use Rick Lucas Plumbing in the future, and I would strongly recommend giving him a call for your Plumbing needs.

The Yelp representative (Kelly?) had replied to my inquiry regarding the availability of a plumber and said one was available the same day to come out & provide a free estimate . I agreed & Christian Plumbing called & said a technician would come @ 3:30 PM. Around 2:30 PM I received a phone call from the technician (Nick?) saying that there was a service call charge of $250 to come out to provide an estimate. When the plumber came he said Moen is the worst brand and then told us we bought the wrong kind, we need cordless. When my fiancé tells him that we were told by the woman he spoke to when he made the appointment we didn't need a specific garbage disposal, he said we can't listen to the office because "they are just two women who don't know what they're talking about".... Yikes! The plumber was impatient with us for buying the wrong garbage disposal, and said he couldn't do anything and wouldn't be able to come back for days. I walked out of the room and my fiancé stayed with him asking what we should do - we just need to get a new garbage disposal that doesn't have a cord. So we call the office when the plumber leaves to see when we can get another appointment and the woman says tomorrow. Great. Then we get a call back and the woman says the plumber won't be returning to our home because we did not take his advice and he's an expert of 25 years and she hung up on us.
