The bite-sized bossam was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. I would definitely love to come back!

This is going to be my favorite late night spot at ktown. They close at 2am which is really late. The combo 1 is huge portion and feed 4 ppl. We also ordered the assorted pancakes which are also great. Good place for hang out with friends and the price are not too expensive.

Hidden gem pocha! My friends and I came on a Sunday night and this pocha wasn't super busy. Inside, the pocha vibes were great with the lighting and sakura decor. Firstly, they gave us a complimentary popcorn snack which helped with our hunger while we waited for our food. Next, I got the mango soju cocktail which was very good and tasty. It had good mango flavor and you can't even really taste the alcohol in it. Next, the Korean fried chicken was tasty. They used dark meat so it was juicy and flavorful. The chicken was crispy and was covered in a spicy, sweet sticky sauce which was also very flavorful. Next, the small army stew was great. The flavor wasn't too overpowering and I enjoyed all the toppings like the spam, sausage, leek, etc. Lastly, the kimchi fried rice was solid. It was moist and flavorful and had a nice amount of chopped kimchi in it. The egg on top also looked picture perfect. They also give you a complimentary ice cream which I appreciate. The service was also great. Our sever was nice and attentive. Parking though is a bit confusing. There is a sign for a parking lot but it's down this narrow alley with only two spots which would most likely be taken, so parking would just be street parking. Overall, a great experience here especially if you're looking for a chill pocha experience.

This spot had some really nice snacks. When my group and I went, the setting was very relaxed and chill. The space is pretty small but it was still nice! The assortment of the pancakes were tasty. The pork belly was a bit plain by itself but the kimchi served with it made it delicious! That might've been the point actually! The French fries had smiley face versions. That alone made me wanna go back! The service was very nice and respectful!

I ordered the tofu kimchi and large assorted pancakes, but the assorted pancakes portion size was way too small. I called the restaurant to ask if I had actually received the large size, and the employee's attitude was very rude and unprofessional. They said the price is high because the pancakes are "labor-intensive" to make, which honestly makes no sense for the amount of food provided. The tofu kimchi leaked all over. I definitely won't be ordering from here again. The price $52.99 for large size assorted pancake is completely unreasonable for what you get.

    ### 2023 review 54/100 ### I won an IG giveaway for an Army Stew and boy, was I glad I came with hubs. It's one giant stew pot, plenty for 2 hungry to share! Super friendly service and very reasonable menu prices. Didn't drink but I hear they have the best priced soju. Can't wait to go back to try more items on their menu. Easy to find street parking.

Ambiance and service is 10/10! The potato pancakes were okay but i liked pairing it with the spicy chicken stew. The stew was really good, pretty spicy and I recommend adding ramen noodles to it! My spice game is pretty weak so I added a bowl of rice to pair. The music videos they played on the screen was top tier. It was really cute inside! They gave us free ice cream when we left and that was such a lovely surprise! I'll be back :)

New spot in Ktown! Transparently, I can't say I was blown away by the food, but it was good enough for me. I got their Jun platter which wasn't bad but I wasn't sure if it was worth 39.99. It was just sausage, cut up mushrooms, imitation crab, etc. I know Ktown food in LA is overpriced but cmonnnn. The bright side is that the beer and soju are $8, service is nice, and they let you take a Korean ice cream from their ice cream fridge. I may come back and try other things in the future.

Dog friendly. I gladly drive an hour for that spicy squid perilla pancake. It's very yummy and pretty spicy. Also kimchi pork belly was surprisingly really good and go well with the buckwheat noodle. Ambience is such a chill with ur friend vibe. Parking isn't terrible. Street parking and valet available

Our server Jin is so cutie and nice, he's service was 100%. The indoor was so cute, along with the dim lighting the ambiance is definitely there. Overall I didn't expect this place to be THIS GOOD!! I also ordered to go and there was candy in there I'm crying it's so cute. Spicy Braised Chicken is a 9.5/10: the flavor is THERE, so good!!!! You need to try this for yourself to understand!! It was just a tiny bit dry, but no big deal. Corn Cheese 9/10: it's a bit different then you typical corn cheese, it's on the sweeter side but It was still very good Pork belly and kimchee 12/10: Per usual I'm saving the best for last to review. SO GOOD. The flavor is there, the pork belly is cooked perfectly. Along with the warm kimchee, it made the perfect bit. Would 10/10 recommend this is must order.

My hubby saw them on YouTube on Rockstar Eater's channel. You wouldn't notice them otherwise. A little hole in the wall, unpretentious entry. We went on a Thursday evening at around 7 pm when they were not busy. I understand they can get packed. Jin was super friendly, cute, and helpful. We only tried 3 things, but we'll have to return to try more. Everything was fantastic. We had the Squid Perilla Leaves pancake, the Fishcake Soup, and the Bossam. We thought we'd take some food home, but we ate everything, it was so good. In the end, Jin said we could get ice cream from the ice cream chest by the door. So, we even got a free ice cream. I had a bottle of a 21º ABV soju from the province where Jin is from. It was really good and definitely felt the extra alcohol compared to other sojus. Overall, we had a great dinner and we'll BE BACK!

First time here and it was so good! Cute little restaurant with quick service. Not too loud and has a nice pub vibe. The fish cake soup was a little blain but overall everything was really good! Parking was just a little rough and there's valet parking for $4. Would come back when I'm in the area!

On our latest visit we took the Metro, exited at Wilshire/Normandie Station, and walked 8 minutes over. The restaurant seems to have updated their décor to a more modern and new look since my last visit. Also they have introduced a lot of new menu items, so it felt like an appropriate time to update my review and renew my support for the business. On prior visits I have tried both the Clam Kalguksu ($22.99) and the Chicken Kalguksu ($22.99). Both are delicious depending on what protein you are craving. The broth is incredible soothing and great for a cold day or just anytime you need comfort food. The noodles are chewy and pillowy soft, it just melts in your mouth. When we arrived on our latest visit it was as busy and popular as I remembered. We were lucky that they were able to seat us right away. This latest visit my boyfriend and I tried new items from their menu. My boyfriend had the Tokmanuguk ($20.99) which has rice cakes, dumplings, beef, egg, and carrot in their anchovy broth. I had the Chicken Jook ($23.99) which is the Korean version of a chicken porridge that comes with half a small chicken, green onions, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, squash, onions and topped off with a smidge of sesame oil. Our meals came with a little palette cleansing introduction of barley rice. Just a few bites, but it sets up your tastebuds for the meal. They also had some side dishes for the table. The food took a while to come out, but understandable for how busy they are. This food is made with love and your patience will be rewarded. When it came, it was SO DELICIOUS! I tried a bit of my boyfriend's food and it was so comforting. Perfect for those who like the chewiness of the Korean rice cakes or dumplings. I just love my chicken porridge a little more cause I'm obsessed with porridge whenever I can get it. I love how much vegetables Koreans are able to hide in their porridge while making the veggies so tiny, you won't even notice it. So healthy, delicious, and soothing. It was like a hug for my soul. Also, the portion was huge and both my boyfriend and I had a portion togo that was the size of another meal. You can't go wrong with their food here. I definitely want to make an effort to come back more often. Until next time!

Me and friend started with drinks at the bar - I got the hwachae milk punch, a pretty pink sip! My friend got the espresso martini, their take made with cold brew soju, Korean coffee mix, and makgeolli. Both were fun, well-balanced ways to kick off the night. Their honey butter chips were pretty delectable - fresh-cut potato, fried until crunchy and airy, then drizzled with a honey butter glaze that channels those nostalgic honey butter chip snacks. The sauce was good but can definitely be a sweetness overload, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, I would avoid ordering. Got the pine nut cold noodles, which was refreshing on a summer day - white noodles in a chilled soy milk broth with pine nut. The pine flavor was pretty subtle, so if you're into that, definitely get this, but for me it was just okay. The pork jowl was delicious though - comes with chili crisp and garlic rice, and we ended up taking some home because we couldn't finish it all! Service was great - we sat at the bar and got to watch the bartender work and chat. Parking can be hit or miss; you can either park in the several garage structures around ktown or the small paid lot in the Danbi plaza, but we came on a Thursday night and it was still pretty busy. Overall, a 9/10 meal with good vibes, cute drinks, and delicious food. Already dreaming about trying the galbi next time I'm here!

The restaurant was recommended on the Michelin guide. We made reservations online ahead of time. There is lot parking for $20 as well as street parking. HONEY BUTTER CHIPS ($8) - these were crispy, sweet, and salty. They're inspired by the ones in the bags but these were way better. The honey butter sauce on top was addicting. 4.5/5 SCALLOP PANCAKE ($25) - this was crispy, flavorful, and there were lots of scallops. I also liked the strawberry mentaiko dipping sauce. 5/5 BEEF TARTARE ($36) - this was silky from the bone marrow and the egg yolk. They came with the same chips as the honey butter chips to scoop. 4.5/5 UNI BIBIMBAP ($60) - I loved the sweet shrimp and the uni was silky. Note that this is sold at market price; it was definitely a smaller portion of food and you're mostly paying for the uni. 4/5 ZABUTON STEAK ($85) - the steak was tender and perfectly cooked. It tasted like it was in some sweet Korean marinade and was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time, even better than steak houses. Also, don't forget the delicious garlic rice cooked in beef tallow. This was absolutely amazing! 5/5 For cocktails both the luv u so matcha ($18) and hwachae milk punch ($16) were delicious and easy to drink. Note that they're soju-based and none of their cocktails contain hard liquor. Everything was so flavorful and we loved our meal. It's definitely a pricey one but we both thought it was worth it. This is a place I can see myself coming back to eat again.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

Even when we ordered the food, the server said "that's it?" as if she was offended that we didn't order more food (lower sales?) I'm not sure if we misunderstood her attitude but that's kind of how it felt like. The quality and size went down and it was just... not good. This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.
