I had no idea this place has been around since 2024. When we are in Ktown, we typically drive down Olympic and I guess have always missed it. I'm not sure if they redid the front with more signage or lights, but we noticed it one evening and bookmarked it. We liked the food pics on here so came early on Saturday. First parking. There's street parking and a very tiny narrow lot behind it. Like if you pull in, you have to reverse to exit and we didn't feel comfortable enough in our driving skills to do that. The owner did say that they are working on getting valet so hopefully that will pan out soon. The bar is small, so I agree with another reviewer who said to maybe call ahead to see if you can book a table or check if there's room. But it's decorated so cute inside. Food: We loved everything we ordered! We got the fries, dak ddongjip, spicy fishcake soup and kimchi samgyupsal. Next time I want to try the bossam and army stew. My husband's favorite was the kimchi samgyupsal. Mine was the dak ddongjip. The service was so great, very attentive and the owner seems so sweet and engaging. Came here on a Friday night and there were a few tables open. The pocha is a bit on the smaller end so I would recommend calling in to see if they could hold a table for you. We ordered the kimchi stir fried pork belly, rose tteokbokki and the fried chicken. All were delicious! You definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and portions. By the looks of it, the rose tteokbokki had us questioning the flavor in the beginning but after trying it, we were glad we ordered it! The fried chicken remained super crispy even 30 min after receiving it. Service was amazing! Servers were attentive and you can press a button on the wall to call them over. Bossum bossum bossum. You know what's good here, the BOSSUM!!! It was absolutely delicious, the perfect blend of refreshing vegetables, a kick of garlic, a spicy tang from a bit of kimchi, and finally a sweet jalepeno to top it off and you can never go wrong. The teobokki here was pretty good too, but I definitely think it was just average and nothing too special. The servers are amazing here constantly refilling our waters, and perfectly handled our additional request of a second Bossum!!! It's a dimly lit resturant with some booths and a very long mirror on the side. It definitely does give off that Korean pub vibe once you walk in for sure. read more

This is going to be my favorite late night spot at ktown. They close at 2am which is really late. The combo 1 is huge portion and feed 4 ppl. We also ordered the assorted pancakes which are also great. Good place for hang out with friends and the price are not too expensive. read more

Hidden gem pocha! My friends and I came on a Sunday night and this pocha wasn't super busy. Inside, the pocha vibes were great with the lighting and sakura decor. Firstly, they gave us a complimentary popcorn snack which helped with our hunger while we waited for our food. Next, I got the mango soju cocktail which was very good and tasty. It had good mango flavor and you can't even really taste the alcohol in it. Next, the Korean fried chicken was tasty. They used dark meat so it was juicy and flavorful. The chicken was crispy and was covered in a spicy, sweet sticky sauce which was also very flavorful. Next, the small army stew was great. The flavor wasn't too overpowering and I enjoyed all the toppings like the spam, sausage, leek, etc. Lastly, the kimchi fried rice was solid. It was moist and flavorful and had a nice amount of chopped kimchi in it. The egg on top also looked picture perfect. They also give you a complimentary ice cream which I appreciate. The service was also great. Our sever was nice and attentive. Parking though is a bit confusing. There is a sign for a parking lot but it's down this narrow alley with only two spots which would most likely be taken, so parking would just be street parking. They had no problem seating our large group of 7 on a Friday night for dinner/drinks. We loved that there were a variety of combos for us to share that were for food + drinks. We ordered ttebokki, army stew, fish cake soup, and some pancakes. My favorites were the ttebokki and fish cake soup. I ordered the tofu kimchi and large assorted pancakes, but the assorted pancakes portion size was way too small. I called the restaurant to ask if I had actually received the large size, and the employee's attitude was very rude and unprofessional. They said the price is high because the pancakes are "labor-intensive" to make, which honestly makes no sense for the amount of food provided. The tofu kimchi leaked all over. I definitely won't be ordering from here again. The price $52.99 for large size assorted pancake is completely unreasonable for what you get. read more

But to be honest I found the food to just be underwhelming. Minus the bulgogi glass noodle dish. That was amazing. The army stew tasted too watery. But I would give it a second chance. Maybe we didn't mix it enough. When I ate it, it was too bland. But after a while the broth did taste a lot better. The ttoebokki was also a bit watered down and not as flavorful as I would like it. Someone also ordered the... I forgot the name. Meatballs? They were all right. Good but not amazing in my opinion. I will say the rest of my family liked it thought. Service: really great. Ambiance and service is 10/10! The potato pancakes were okay but i liked pairing it with the spicy chicken stew. The stew was really good, pretty spicy and I recommend adding ramen noodles to it! My spice game is pretty weak so I added a bowl of rice to pair. The music videos they played on the screen was top tier. It was really cute inside! New spot in Ktown! Transparently, I can't say I was blown away by the food, but it was good enough for me. I got their Jun platter which wasn't bad but I wasn't sure if it was worth 39.99. It was just sausage, cut up mushrooms, imitation crab, etc. I know Ktown food in LA is overpriced but cmonnnn. The bright side is that the beer and soju are $8, service is nice, and they let you take a Korean ice cream from their ice cream fridge. I may come back and try other things in the future. read more

Our server Jin is so cutie and nice, he's service was 100%. The indoor was so cute, along with the dim lighting the ambiance is definitely there. Overall I didn't expect this place to be THIS GOOD!! I also ordered to go and there was candy in there I'm crying it's so cute. Spicy Braised Chicken is a 9.5/10: the flavor is THERE, so good!!!! You need to try this for yourself to understand!! It was just a tiny bit dry, but no big deal. Corn Cheese 9/10: it's a bit different then you typical corn cheese, it's on the sweeter side but It was still very good Pork belly and kimchee 12/10: Per usual I'm saving the best for last to review. My hubby saw them on YouTube on Rockstar Eater's channel. You wouldn't notice them otherwise. A little hole in the wall, unpretentious entry. We went on a Thursday evening at around 7 pm when they were not busy. I understand they can get packed. Jin was super friendly, cute, and helpful. We only tried 3 things, but we'll have to return to try more. Everything was fantastic. We had the Squid Perilla Leaves pancake, the Fishcake Soup, and the Bossam. We thought we'd take some food home, but we ate everything, it was so good. In the end, Jin said we could get ice cream from the ice cream chest by the door. So, we even got a free ice cream. I had a bottle of a 21º ABV soju from the province where Jin is from. It was really good and definitely felt the extra alcohol compared to other sojus. This place is an adorable drinking place, small and intimate. Ambiance wise, 5 stars. Service was good too, attentive and responsive with all our needs. But the food... we ordered budaejjigae, dakdoritang and potato pancakes. Potato pancakes were ok but the other two dishes were really bad. It lacked some major flavor, it kinda tasted like they forgot to put garlic or something. Dakdoritang was better of the two, but we were pretty disappointed. They have free ice cream on your way out, so that was a nice touch. Overall, I'd go for the ambiance, if you ate somewhere else and you're just going to have some snacks with drinks. It's possible we went on an off night, so I'd be willing to try again. I think it's relatively new, so they might still be working out some kinks. Try and see! read more

The pancakes were ok but not like "amazing" Same quality as the ones they sell at the korean market hot deli sections. Galbi jokbal had no galbi seasoning and wasn't unique or amazing at all. It was just stir-fried sesame oil salt pepper with garlic cloves and green onions. Nothing special and portions were ok. Ended up spending a $100 and going to the sushi place next door which was hot dang delicious even tho my cousin and I were semi-full from eating here.
