(this adventure actually prompted me to start working out again). If you answered yes to any of this, I think you'd love the caving adventures trip. You probably wouldn't even be as sore as me if you're in better shape as well. I had the delight of going on the caving adventures trip guided by Eriq and another guide (sorry that i forgot his name). We were able to explore inside the cave and I was able to do a lot more than I ever thought I could in a very safe, controlled, yet challenging environment. I loved how Eriq was very good at telling us how to be safe and avoid accidents. It was a great balance of making you very aware of the risks you might face without being over dramatic to scare you but yet serious enough that you heeded his advice. What I thought was the neatest thing about caving was that it combined many outdoor activities into one. Whether it was going down a 30-40ft drop by harness, figuring out how to climb different rocks, squeezing and crawling on your belly through tunnels, or wedging your body between objects to climb or descend. I really enjoyed Eriq's way of pushing us to do more even when you might have been hesitant. He was very good at bringing out the best in you but yet not so insistent that you felt pressured. By the end of the adventure I did much more than I thought I would and really felt a sense of accomplishment. Not to mention I got one hell of a work out. Highly recommend, this is one of the more memorable experiences I've had in life.

Sometimes they lose a kid and the entire car line sits for 15 minutes while they search the property. Only one counselor works the pickup line for some reason. Instead of apologizing for being late and losing kids the staff is rude, abusive, incompetent, and endangers the children.

Over the years "graduates" of Valley Mill came back to be Counselors. Truly, no child was left behind and there were counselors that fostered creativity, positivity, and helped campers actually have fun and learn skills they never knew they had. I couldn't swim and was afraid to even try...but...long story short I went on to be on a college swim team. It wasn't about being competitive, but just for the sense of knowing I could do it...that is the success of Valley Mill. About positivity!

The staff were fantastic and even popped in a few times to dance and celebrate with us. The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous--cool and comfortable despite all the dancing. After an hour I picked up my daughter and she told me she had an awful time, she told me she asked on the adults what they were setting up and the reply was "if you stop bugging me you will find out!" I don't recommend this childcare service. It may be a last resort however they do not provide quality care.

Bar-t…read moreused to be a great place for kids to go after school with lots of fun activities and top notch staff. My child went for years and loved it. This year my child hates it. My child has been physically dragged, cursed at, and made fun of by a Bar-t staff member. The staff member has also mistreated several other kids in Bar-t this year on a number of occasions. When parents complain, the owner says he has no plans to get rid of the staff member, and does little to give parents confidence that their kids will be treated well in the future. Some of the best staff who supervise the kids have left Bar-t because this new owner is a bully who underpays them. Go elsewhere for good after school care.
