Firstly we were told to sit and someone will come to us we waited and waited and waited no one came however when someone finally came she served the lady next to us who came after us we felt special... The same waitress then continued to talk with other patrons near us for around 15 minutes she can't be to busy... The food was bland overpriced very average at best we frequent many other places in the area that are so much better with food and service not sure how you have a 4.5 score I give you a 1 at best. If you're looking for nice food and good service try anywhere else but this place. I leave good reviews when I have a good experience and a negative review if I have a poor experience I have to say it's little wonder your business is poorly run when the owner can't even handle feedback your unprofessional reply pretty much sums up my negative feedback. ***UPDATE*** After meeting with the owner in person, he still failed to address any of the issues I raised online. I was told that I should have raised the issues when we were asked how the meal was. Maybe because we weren't asked! The staff member already knew we weren't happy with the service, and had no interest in asking. Just a heads up to anyone looking to try this place - the owner told me that negative Google reviews are only used by people wanting freebies. He has no interest in making any changes.

Yummmm! Why didn't I know about this place sooner?!…read more West 48 is a little cafe in West Footscray that looks so uninhabited when you first drive past but once you open that front door, you soon realise how popular it truly is. We took a table out front because it was absolutely jamming inside, quickly ordered a couple of lattes and I was pretty pleased to see that they serve Allpress. And deliciously made lattes with Allpress. I ordered the scrambled eggs on sourdough with grilled tomato, bacon and mushrooms - and low and behold... I could cut through the sourdough with a simple bread knife. You win, West 48! I will definitely coming back here very soon, especially since my typically very picky boyfriend also scoffed through his meal with no complaints! The staff are super friendly, very on the ball. The fact that we got welcomed by 3 or 4 people, and genuinely thanked for stopping by was a really nice way of finishing off our brekkie.

The cafe itself is modern, clean and fresh, music was perfect for a Sunday morning and not too intrusive. The service was polite, friendly and efficient and no one was trying too hard to be cool. I was seated straight away and soon ordered the Vegemite Rarebit. When it arrived, I was delighted with the Australian twist on the Welsh classic and scarfed it down. A takeaway coffee to go (nicely made) and I left a happy customer. Only one minor gripe, being seated at the end of the bench table meant an icy blast of air every time the door opened, but to be fair was exacerbated by my own lack of layers!

It is a gorgeous bright open and airy cafe with a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. On my visit I had their chicken burger and it was crispy without being too dry and had the right balance of salad to chicken so I almost walked away thinking it could have been a health food. Service was friendly and fast and they were more than happy to pack up my leftovers to go which I really love as I am a bit of a small eater. Jack B Nimble is not open for dinners but I would definitely put it on my to brunch list out west

I came here with a slight hangover and dead excited to try out the Reuben sanga. Had the sads when…read moreI read the menu and that item was by available til 11:30 (we got there bout 10:50). But no matter I went for an eggs Benedict instead, and so did the other half. Heard good things about the coffee here. Unfortunately I am no longer an avid drinker of coffee (thanks juice cleanse) so I just went for an OJ. That was served freshly squeezed in a huge mason jar it was cute. My partner got the latte and from the smell of it it seemed top notch! Also he said it was pretty damn special - so take his word for it guys :) So when hungover, time went by real slow for me. I was content sitting there spacing out and sipping on my OJ. Had I not been hungover though, I would have realized that 35 minutes went by and we didn't have our food yet. During that 35 minutes my partners coffee was long gone and 2 times that a waitresses came over she never offered him another coffee..! One of the waitresses came over extremely apologetic and promised us it was 5 mins away and admittedly they forgot about our order.. Dan was pretty dejected from this moment and wasn't very impressed with the place! They redeemed themselves though! Firstly they offered a second round of drinks on the house, and the food did come within 5 mins (notice that by the time we had our food we were now able to order the Reuben.. Dag nammit!) but the food was deeeeeelicous. It was beautifully presented and eggs were poached to perfection! We left there happy customers! So they had a rocky start, but we enjoyed the place and will come back (most likely after 1130 next time :))

It isn't a huge coffee shop, and it is nowhere near as crowded as some of the other ones around the place, which is also pretty cool. The staff are quite friendly, and the coffee wasn't all that bad either. However, what I really liked about this place was just the relaxed atmosphere, the quiet surroundings, and the aesthetic design.

It's a beautifully designed little place, taking over the convenient corner space previously belonging to the Seddon Post Office. An all day breakfast spot, The Little Man offers the standard array of eggs, though someone at a nearby table ordered the 'Little Man's Burger' ($16 with chips or salad, one of three lunch options) and it looked freaking delicious. Will definitely give it a go next time I head there. They're clearly catering to the young family crowd in the area, with egg & soliders and nutella/jam crepes on the menu for the kiddies, as well as a doorway ramp practical for the ever growing size of prams these days. With HEAPS of lovely natural lighting and a huge share table in the front window, it seems like it's going to become a really great place to grab a coffee, do some work on a laptop or meet friends for breakkie. Latte was really smooth & nice, and while it was always going to be tough to live up to the coffee standards of their neighbour Common Galaxia, they're not too far behind. Give this adorable little place a few weeks to relax and settle in and it will no doubt become another well loved addition to the ever growing Victoria St.
