Hot chocolate, cute cups & saucers!!

I'm not sure what it was about this cafe, but I really loved it! It's really casual and comfortable, with great decor and friendly staff. Really friendly in fact. Some of the best customer service I've received in a while. They have a great range of food. I went with the toasted banana bread special, it was almost perfect, I just had to add a lil salt to get that delicious salty-sweet flavour perfect! I also downed my usual hot chocolate. It was good, not great, but the overall atmosphere and service really makes this place special :)

Special of the day. Salmon and poached eggs.

This would have to be one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while! We arrived early on a Sunday morning and found a seat outside amongst all the amazing dogs! There was also plenty of room inside given they take up two shop spaces. We were immediately given a couple menus, water, asked what coffee orders we wanted and read out the specials. The coffee was great, no complaints and arrived in record time given that we barely read out what we wanted and it was in front of us. I ordered the special of toast with horseradish cream, potatoes, salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise. My partner opted for the poached pear brioche French toast. Both meals were incredible but the salmon and poached eggs were another level. Generous portion size with such delicious flavours. I couldn't stop saying how amazing it was! All in all a five star breakfast, great staff and cruisey local feel. We will be back very soon.

French toast to die for.

This will be my favourite place to have breakfast after finding I today. Anyone in the Inner North should seek it out. If you're anywhere else, cross town to get here. Hidden in a little back street is a decent sized cafe with more tasty things on the one menu that I've seen in a long time. Prices very reasonable and servings generous. Coffee great too. Make it a regular.

Brunch is great whilst on holidays. I had the big john breakfast as it has black pudding, this is an English style n was nicely cooked with a bit of crunch which I liked. Tomato was well cooked to my perfection n the poached eggs had the correct 'run' for me. It definitely a big breakfast. I couldn't resist to try the special sweet sago pudding on offer, that's one thing great about brunch timing, it allows u to have a sweet without feeling guilty The sago pudding had coconut milk n cream swimming around the pudding, sago was cooked to perfection n not gluggy, served with fresh pineapple pieces gave a nice tang to the not too sweet pudding. The topping of a dollop of whipped coconut cream was just superb n the crunch of sesame praline compliment the whole dessert, sufficient with every mouthful The only complain was it was a large serve, enough for 2 to share n well worth it Would love to come back to try the other specials on offer

Went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast with my aunt. It was a nice little place! We ordered the French toast and avocado poached eggs. The service was pleasant, only thing was we waited about 40 minutes for our food. Wasn't that bad though. The French toast I ordered was really nice, only thing was that it was a little expensive for the portion size, it really wasn't that filling. I would come again, it was enjoyable.

Greetings!

Homie, cozy, delicious! There's a farmstead feel here that's just right. It warms my heart and my belly! Self-serve mason jar water area, home-baked goods and display, and the funky art portraits of strangers staring at you while noshing scrumptious lox and bagel sandwich, feels classic. This place is a farmstead style home with a twist of weird. I fit right in!

A small selection of baked goods on counter. Menu consists of wraps, burgers and a handful of brekkie items. Despite being a small menu it caters to all tastes. My friend got the small victories sandwich which is bacon fried egg tomato in slices of bread. He inhaled it and liked the freshness from the tomato. I had the lamb wrap with pulled succulent lamb, refreshing pieces of cucumber and tomato, delicious undertones of the sauce and complementary sourness and crumbly texture from the feta. The wrap itself was a thin white wrap. I devoured mine too and the hot crinkly cut chips were a bonus Our coffees were robust yet creamy. Great value for money. Good friendly service.

Food wise always up to scratch, I have had soup, sandwiches and the small victories breakkie. Sucker for black pudding and love the way it is served. New age fun with a vintage feel. The space feels great, always feel welcome and most importantly they tolerate me just talking shit about everything and nothing. Recommended by me. But then again. Who the fff hell am I?

It has a stack of pancakes with Nutella, banana, and pork belly bacon in between each cake. It's topped with a fried egg and has syrup and Parmesan cheese on the side. Hidden from the plain sight, this cafe is Located in a less commonly travelled path, in an alleyway that just a few blocks from Victoria Market. A bit tricky to find, but the experience, however, was certainly worth the effort to get here. I promise :) Upon walking in, I was instantly in love with the interior - a spacious dining area decorated with vibrant colors of blue, yellow and green; it's fun and calming... the type of cafe where I don't mind spending my whole day here :D. Humble Rays most iconic menu is the French Toast Forever (AUD$19). It's a beautifully plated thick French toast stuffed with vanilla bean cream cheese. Topped generously with boysenberry ice cream, nuts and seasonal fruits and garnished with eye-popping fairy floss - It was nothing less than scrumptious! Portion wise, it was ginormous and easily last me through my next meal. For my drink, I ordered their green tea latte; it was gentle tasting and smooth. Delicious! Short to say, Humble Rays does not disappoint in any way. From the gorgeous food to inspiring atmosphere. The price is as what you'd expect to pay at a fine cafe in Melbourne... heavy on the pocket! But if you're looking for a gratifying cafe experience with Instagram worthy food (that also taste beyond its appearance), Humble Rays surely delivers.

It's fluffy, creamy, and just a little sweet. It's mixed in with their house blend which is one of the best I've had. Their coffee is on point! The cafe itself is a sleek and modern affair with hardwood timber countertops and a neat and tidy decor. The staff are friendly and with an open window bench top and street-side sitting, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sunshine during the warmer months. Annoying Brother loses some points due to their menu. I'm not the kind of vegan that demands that cafes cater 100% to my needs, but the menu here completely lacks diversity. I can only see one vegetarian option, and there is nothing that could be made vegan. Considering the number of great breakfast places that cater to all diets in the area, it is a little disappointing. If I'm looking for a caffine hit while I'm in the area though, I will definitely find myself sitting by the street, enjoying the rays.

The magical barista will take your order, give you change and make your coffee ALL AT THE SAME TIME and my GOD it is a good coffee. Highly recommended if you're in the area and in desperate need of a caffeine hit.

This can mean that they won't have exactly the variety you're after, but you know it's fresh and that's of far more importance.
