This is a very popular place so I recommend calling to make a reservation, especially if you plan on coming with a large group. They have one large table inside. Other than that it's 2-4 person tables (indoor and outdoor) and the counter at the bar. The tables can obviously be placed together for bigger groups. Still, make a reservation. The interior decor seems to be all over the place, but it works, creating a cool hip vibe. We started out with the queso fundido and tuna creo rolls. Both were good. I'd reorder them. I would like to note that they don't automatically serve you chips and salsa. Older reviews mention they are complimentary but newer reviews state that is no longer the case. You have to ask for them and they'll charge you. We didn't ask for them because the queso fundido comes with chips. For the main course, I had the chimichanga. I saw a photo one one with melted cheese over it (gratinado). The one I received had a creamy cilantro based sauce. It was delicious, and with crema on the side... wow. I will definitely get this again. My mom had the encebollado tacos. She could only eat two of the three that came with the order. I ate it the next day. Yum. The only disappointment were the churros. They weren't bad, just average. And after a great meal, average didn't cut it.

Having said that, I keep coming back disappointed time and again because the service is pretty bad and the prices compared to portion size (depending on what you order) is too high. You do get your food within reasonable time but the servers act like if they are doing you a favor by serving you. They also try to upsell everything. They give you a tiny sample of chicharrones when you sit down and when you ask for a bit more b/c the food is taking to long, they say it will be charged. They also add the tip to every bill which is annoying because their service is just not worth the 15%. They also try to make us buy bottles of water by telling us that the tap water is coming out "dirty". So, overall, if you really crave great fine Mexican food go there but be aware that the experience itself will probably suck.

This was Friday before 8pm, and they were out? It wasn't even busy. They were also out of their appetizers. Not good. Service was fine, nothing special, and our table was sticky. We ordered the cochinita pibil tacos and the barbacoa de res tacos, and for dessert the churros. The flavors were on point. The meat seasoned right, the tortillas fresh. Our son still hasn't developed a palate for Mexican food, but he scarfed down the barbacoa taco. The churros were perfect and I loved the vanilla ice cream that came with it. Nice and creamy. To be honest, I'd give it a 3.5 stars because the tacos and churros came through. But not having appetizers or ribeye (the reason you are prime) available was a big fumble. Hopefully, this was a one time thing and not a regular occurrence.

It seems like they changed administration because things didn't run as smoothly as before. The tacos were just bad, the carnitas tacos literally was a block of meat... we couldn't even barely eat nor give our baby some of the meat. Now you can't order mixed tacos ( even though the menu still says it). The food takes forever to arrive and they will bring your food before your appetizer. The servers didn't know anything we asked so clearly they were all new and not well trained. I'm really disappointed because we found a place where you had great tacos for a good price... Sadly not returning.

The creamy pasta was okay, then again, I am not a fan of lemon and that's what the pasta tasted like: lemon. The branzino was covered in capers, giving it a strong, salty taste. Way too salty, very unejoyable. It ruined the tender flesh of the fish. The flan steak was okay. Metropol is better. The peruvian chicken... just awful. The sauce on top reminded me of greek yogurt with mayo. It was spicy as well. Just not it for me. Roasted vegetables lovely though... but that's it. I left the entire plate of chicken on the side and the waitress didn't even bother to ask me if I liked my food! Service was decent, average. Nothing too crazy. Not great and not bad. The waitress just honestly seemed like she didn't want to be there. The restaurant itself is nice. Good decor, once again, nothing too crazy or out of this world. That's what this restaurant ultimately is: nothing too crazy or out of this world. You should go if you have nowhere else to go. but the sushi place right up front is a tad better, or go to Ruth Chris, which is very good just pricey. Then again, this place also isn't cheap. I won't be visiting. Second time eating here and I had the same disappointing experience... I really wanted to like this place!
