On our way from Tampa to Panama City, we stopped at the Busy Bee for gas and to refresh ourselves for the journey. We were unfamiliar with Busy Bee, so it was our first time there. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean and modern bathrooms, which provided a welcome break. Busy Bee offers various food options, including fruits, candies, and cakes. It also has a Dunkin' Donuts and Burger King, making it a convenient and all-in-one stop for your needs.
Yes its busy lots of food choices and Isla all over inside got to check this out air conditioner flowing thats awesome! Food makes this place very desirable.
Omg I love this place. I never heard of it until I started reading the poster board signs while driving. This is like a buceees but on a smaller scale but so many hidden gems inside. Bathrooms are huge, nice and clean. And the items that are available range from poundcakes to home items it's just so much inside you could spend at least an hour here can't wait to go back and for them to build more of them. Great for truckers, as they do have showers and other miscellaneous driver amenities as well.
Busy Bee was an oasis along our journey! We started seeing signs several miles ahead that cleverly used the word Bee in the message and when we finally saw the exit we were thrilled. First off we were all impressed by the bathroom cleanliness. There was also a full service Dunkin', Burger King, and Pizza place inside. They have a variety of snacks and drinks including many of their own unique snacks and food.
Super excited to have found Busy Bee on our drive home to use our Dunkin' Donuts' gift card! I was afraid it would be slim choices, but nope, it was essentially a full DD's inside this gas station shop. Plus, a Burger King in here too! Can't help but wonder which came first, Busy Bee or Buc-ee's as there are definitely similarities! Long story short, this place was an awesome find. Walls of candy, jerky to buy, freeze-dried candies, etc. I couldn't help but try the macarons (Snickers, turtle, and blackberry), and my daughter tried the wedding cake truffle. We enjoyed them all but honestly have been spoiled by a place in Baton Rouge, LA (Les Amis Bake Shoppe) whose macarons are so fresh and crunchy and taste like they are magically transported from France every morning. Honestly, that's the only reason for the 4 not 5 stars...perhaps that's not fair as really, we had no other complaints. So yes, I definitely recommend stopping here for gas, snacks, yummy food, etc! Can't compare the bathrooms to Buc'ee's as we had just stopped at a rest stop not long before so didn't use these.
Shoutout to our local community heroes! I loved this amazing venue! It's like an amusement park store feel, but better. Not only does it have Burger King and Dunkin, it also has lots of amazing store brand options. It has so many options for drink machines: Coffees are hot, cold, all strengths, flavors, and hot chocolate too; teas, soda flavors, milkshakes/frozen drinks, and more. There's candies, popcorn, chips, hot dogs/ sausages. They even have little sample cups of puffs and popcorns. There's clothing, souvenirs, and so much more. The store is organized, well lit, and colorful. The restrooms are very clean, spacious, and have beautifully light fixtures. My husband agreed that it was a cool venue! And we plan to swing by when we are traveling this way ! So fun!!!

Busy Bee is another one of those establishments that combine gas station and a general store that combine for a roadside tourist trap. This particular location is just off of Interstate 10 and is a nice diversion from the road where you can fuel up your vehicle, maybe get a drink or a bite to eat from either a fast food option or maybe a hot dog off the griller, or bring home some kind of sweet and/or a trinket that until you saw it you did not realize it was an item you could not live without. I have stopped here a time or three and will continue to do so. It is a pretty cool place. read more

Every convenience store/gas station in the US needs to take notes from Busy Bee! This was the most unique convenient store I have ever come across in all my travels. It's off I-10 between Jacksonville and Tallahassee. You can find almost as much in this convenience store as you can find at Walmart. There were clothes, car accessories, fresh chocolate and candy shops, Burger King and Dunkin Donuts. Check out my pictures as I'm sure I forgot something LOL. My friends purchased stainless steel cups with lids and straws for our trip to New Orleans as they forgot to bring one from home. The cups were $29.99 each. I went to Burger King and purchased a sausage and egg croissan'wich. I also purchased a chocolate milk in the convenience store to go with my breakfast. When I tell you this place is a must-see I'm not joking. Busy Bee will forever make me think all other convenient stores are slackers;) And I cannot forget to tell you about our first stop, the ladies room. I felt like I was walking into a nightclub LOL. The restrooms were squeaky clean with chandelier type lights over the sinks. And I loved the toilet. Everyone has their own individual restroom with full walls and a regular door. In other words they do not have typical restroom stalls. Stop in and check out this place for yourself. But be prepared to spend more time here than you planned:) read more
This is like a smaller, scaled down Buccee's and I like it! It's obviously not as crazy but still offers a ton of things similar to them. You can fill up your tank and run in for a drink, snack and bathroom break. I need to add that the bathroom was impressively nice and clean! That's always a plus especially while on a road trip. The only big difference is that there's no fresh BBQ here :-). They do have a Burger King and Dunkin. read more
The legends are true. I thought it was odd the way people discussed the Busy Bee... its food, its bathrooms, its awesome gifts, and its awesome staff. I finally stopped by while traveling across the state. The billboards praising their bathrooms don't do them justice. It is a little unexpected to see neon lights highlighting the bathroom's entrance - but their there, and the bathrooms are remarkably clean, spacious, and private. The gift shop has something for everybody, and got me to buy things I didn't need. The staff were all friendly and seemed to take pride in their work. If you are going to have to stop along I10 east of Tallahassee - this should be that stop. read more

Nice stop for vehicle fuel and human fuel. Lots to peruse in the store; clothes, gifts, electronic device supplies, local-made foods, everything for travel needs and more. Clean restrooms! Fair prices for everything. It's a quick on and off from I-10, if you want it to be anyway, but be prepared to at least look at the selection of items available for purchase. BE CONSIDERATE! PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE GAS PUMP!!! We waited 20 minutes for this guy to finish lunch before moving his vehicle!!!! There are plenty of places to park for longer stays. It's a big store and they try very hard, but they are NOT Buc-ees. read more
Stopped here to charge the Tesla. They had 12 super chargers. There was also quite a few gas pumps. The store is an upscale take on a gas station. It's like a mega convenience store with everything you could possibly think of. There were souvenirs, clothes, food, snacks, bakery, fudge, jerky, smokes, make your own ice sundae, boiled peanuts, a Dunkin Donuts and a Burger King. The bathrooms were amazing! So clean and spotless. Great rest stop near I75 and I10. read more

This is a big gas station off exit 283 on I-10 in Florida. It has super clean restroom with tons of stalls!! LOL. For anyone with a sweet tooth, this is the place to come. Huge candy section, Home made fudge and chocolate truffles with A Dunkin Donut inside and burger king. It's a small version of Texas Buc-ee's. 8/11/2020. First stop on the way to New Orleans. This place was packed. Parked a good ways from the gas pumps and went in to use their restrooms and the kids grabbed some snacks. We love Busy Bees and have stopped at the one a few exits East near White Springs several times. Always clean. Friendly service. On the way out I was able to find an available gas pump and decided to top off the tank before hitting the road. read more

It's not often that a truck stop makes me think "I have to do a review", but this one did. Walking into the location, one sees fresh coffee and drinks, fun merchandise, quality clothing. The only other location I could compare it to would be the Cracker Barrel General Store. Walking into the ladies restroom was a WoW! The bathrooms are exceptionally clean with spacious toilet areas. Years ago, my husband was a truck-driver, so I have experience visiting truck stops all over the country. Some truck stops were great - and others were definitely NOT great. After visiting this location, I would go out of my way to visit a Busy Bee anywhere. This was the first Busy Bee I have visited and I will definitely look for others. . Busy Bee is highly recommended - go out of your way to visit Busy Bee. You won't regret it. read more

The Busy Bee is a top of the line rest stop. The location is perfect for driving down into Florida from the panhandle. Or stopping in off the turnpike to get back onto the Florida panhandle. To describe this place we'd have to start with a small list of what they don't have and trust it would be small because this place has so much to offer travelers. Similar to the other stop which highlights a beaver, here you have an upscale adventure in the bathroom. It's elegant and sleek and always clean, never a wait. There is a Burger King within where you can dine like the King and Queen you are and rest your weary driving legs. If you need a sugar pep they have a plethora of candy goods with a full candy shop. You can always get your sweet fix at the in house Dunkin' Donuts where they offer everything on the menu. There are countless baked goods even full pies that would be great for that last minute gift or for the road. The gift shop is incredible with one of a kind exclusive finds from babies to kitchens to just spoiling yourself or those you love, including pets. If you need something for the car or for you they pretty much have it. Definitely worth a stop to fuel up and rest. read more

I agree with all the other reviewers on the bathrooms - the restrooms are comparable to what you would see in a nice restaurant or hotel. It's not your typical cruddy gas station where you would leave feeling like you needed to bathe in a tub of hand sanitizer. The kids loved the taffy, sweets & icee selection (with a topping bar!), there's also an assortment of gifts, decor, honey, seasonings, jams, olive oil, truffle and fudge. I picked an assortment of jerkey for the road ($1.99 oz/beef & turkey) or $3.99/oz for elk & others). All were pretty good - teriyaki, BBQ, ancho chili, garlic. If you need to take a tinkle, make sure to stop here. It's also a good stop for your 4-legged friends to stretch their legs - there is a pet-friendly water fountain by the bagged ice bins outside the front door! read more

4 stars... Normally, I wouldn't rate a gas station but this one is in a league of its own. Coca-Cola and Pepsi together on the same fountain? It's a wonderful world... The restrooms are contemporary and more private than your average bathroom. The restrooms alone merit 5 stars! Threats, knicknacks, miscellaneous items that I had no clue what they were. I mean, there's a little bit of everything in there. read more
This place is notoriously known for the most beautiful public restroom on Interstate 10. The restroom is wood floor, door, and wall panel. It has V hand blow dryer that is quick to fast dry. It is the enjoyment for the stop after a long drive. Good for the scenery, visit the shop with offer, Burger King or Dunkin donuts. This all the good stuff to enjoy. The bad - gas price is highway robbery. They are normally 10 to 20 cent more than any truck stop or city gas station. We have bad experience on the boil peanut. It gives food poison to one of my family member. The setup is good with Italian ice, frappe, or fruity drink. It does have the local cure meat with beef, turkey or wild boars jerky. They also have small thing that you can venture around the store. read more

Oh my word! Let's talk about Busy Bee for a little bit here, shall we? I actually came across here on accident while I was driving to Tallahassee. I usually make a pitstop every few hours and decided to pull off the side of the road after getting on I10. What a glorious decision! This is the best rest stop/gas station ever! First off, this is basically the nicest gas station you will ever visit in your life. I'm not kidding. It's pretty ritzy. The bathrooms are above some of the nicest bathrooms I've seen at pretty high-end restaurants. As far as food offerings go, you pretty much have your pick of whatever you want here. There's a full Dunkin Donuts and a Burger King inside, and then there's a beef jerky station and a fudge station. On top of that, there's a self-serve frozen yogurt area and a Slurpee area. And then there's an entire place for coffee and sandwiches. There are shirts, novelties, tons of candy and pretty much anything you can think of that you might ever need (or not need) while on a road trip. I was so thrilled by coming here that I almost feel embarrassed at how excited I was to go back, but this place was excellent. I usually don't care to write reviews on gas stations of all places, but Busy Bee is special and is now my favorite place to stop at on the road. read more
Five stars for a gas station/convenience store/rest stop? 100% yes. And I'm not surprised in the slightest to see the overall five star rating slapped across the Busy Bee business page. The I-10 rest stop might after all turn into a destination! Dunkin Donuts will forever be my road trip go-to and the service at this one trumps most I've frequented. What else does Busy Bee offer? Hmm, how do clean bathrooms sound? Don't you hate when you have one of life's emergencies and you have to use a disgusting restroom? At Busy Bee, they save your ass, pun intended! Cleanest rest stop bathrooms ever. Furthermore, there's a large selection of specialty goods and a touristy gift shop area. There's even a homemade fudge kiosk! Yes, you read correctly. Whether Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville or Tallahassee are in your future, make sure to visit the outstanding rest stop in Live Oak. You'll be blown away. read more

We were finally heading back to Texas when we needed to stop for gas. I had never heard of Busy Bee and from the road thought we were pulling in to any other gas station/convenience store. As we pulled into the entry way, both my husband and I noticed all the bells and whistles and simultaneously said "What's Busy Bee?" Well, in a nutshell, Busy Bee is a smaller version of a Buc-ee's, but with less helpful employees. For those of you who are still confused, the best description for what we're talking about here is a travel center on steroids. The first thing I noticed, and I have to give BIG props for this, is that the space between the gas pumps is huge!!! It's amazing, you could easily fit three cars between each pump. Considering you'll have people leave their car at a pump and essentially hold cars in line behind them hostage at some places, this is genius and much appreciated! There's ample room for vehicles to move about *safely* and there were plenty of open pumps. Another thing you can count on with a travel center on steroids is that the restrooms are super clean! Seriously, extremely clean. Yay!! This one did not disappoint. There are tons of fully stocked stalls and lines are very unlikely. Also, it wouldn't be a self respecting travel center on steroids unless there was an entire aisle devoted to beef jerky. Yep, they got that here! They also have several food options (donuts, burgers, fudge, pre packaged food) and an array of Busy Bee snacks, candy, syrup, mustard and all sorts of other food products with a Busy Bee stamp. Then we come to all the extras! It's basically a little store with groceries, lots of regional gifts, clothing, jewelry, etc. Lots of stuffed gators too... and gator heads, gator stickers, gator key chains- you're in Florida. It really is a great place to stop and rest and stretch your legs. You can easily get lunch from several options, frozen yogurt, a ton of different drinks and do some shopping while you're at it. These types of concepts are great and I'm all for them! Where does this one need to improve? The training of their employees, or perhaps just better hiring guidelines. Not everyone is cut out for customer service. The first thing that made a weird impression was before I went inside. It's minor and doesn't affect the rating, but I'll mention it because perhaps I shouldn't have been so surprised by what happened later. While my husband ran in to use the restroom and pay cash for the pump, I was gathering the kind of garbage that builds up on a road trip to throw away in a trash can. As I was walking towards the trash can, an employee pulled out the bag, but before he put in the new one in his hand, turned around and had a really long conversation with the lady at a pump on the back row. Now initially I assumed she asked him a question and he was doing his job, so I stood there waiting. Around the three minute mark I heard a few words and realized the conversation had turned towards weather and less relevant topics and by this time there were two additional people juggling various refuse and also waiting for the trash can. I finally just hiked to the next trash can. I'm used to there being one per pump, but this was one in the middle of four. With the distance between the pumps, the walk was a bit far. He was still talking to the lady when I came back. Again, that was super minor, not really worth mentioning, but in retrospect, a sign of their customer service training. He was aware of the three people waiting, but didn't prioritize or multitask. When I entered, my husband was waiting in line to pay for some merchandise and the gas. I didn't witness the first interaction, because I went to use the clean restrooms and browse the products, but my husband later told me that the guy at the counter didn't even acknowledge his hello or say a single word to him during the transaction. The next part I witnessed because I'm me, so I had stopped to stare at the bakery display case next to the register, lol! My husband walked back in and told the gentleman that he did not put the money on the right pump and repeated the pump number again and the amount he had paid him. This guy actually sighs and mumbles what sounds like 'alllright.' However, he makes zero eye contact with my husband because he's carrying on with a personal, and fairly animated conversation with the staff member next to him. He was so indifferent to the customers, and friendly to the employees, it was downright rude. No apology for the inconvenience, no acknowledgement he made a mistake, no eye contact, no smile, no greeting, no thank you- none of the bare minimum attributes you expect in an interaction with a human being when you are handing them money, smh. Anyway, there's bad customer service all over the place, the gas pumps, restrooms and goodies still make this a good stop! read more
This is the nicest gas station/convenience store I've ever been to. We were on our way to Pensacola on I-10 and somehow ran out of gas before reaching Tallahassee which is our normal gas stop on the way. We weren't even sure if there was a gas station at this exit, but when we saw the lights to Busy Bee I heard the angels sing! Huge bathroom stalls 8. Vacant signs on the stall handles 9. Huge drink selection 10. Fresh beef jerky 11. Fresh fudge 12. Fresh deserts 13. Dunkin Donut restaurant inside 14. Burger King inside 15. Fire wood for sale ...I know I'm missing something. All in all on my ride back home I stopped in. That's how nice it was. read more
This store is a perfect example of how gas stations/ truck stops should look. From the gas pumps to the bathrooms everything was amazing. We travel a lot and this was the first time stopping after always seeing the sign. This location has a Dunkin doughnuts and a Burger King located inside with an array of other amazing options for snacks. From candy and vegan snacks to an ice cream wall and exotic jerky. I always say if the bathrooms are clean it's a go. Not only were the bathrooms clean but each stall is roomy and no gaps in the doors so complete privacy. I was able to find my favorite candy salt water taffy and they have a great variety of flavors to choose from. Customer service was amazing and I couldn't have asked for it to have been any better. New update Every time we visit this location it gets better and better. More snack and gift options are always a plus especially when traveling to see friends and family read more

Is this location easy for big motorhomes to get into?
Yes! It is a great hub for large 18 wheel trucks, so I'm sure your motor home would be fine.
