I had one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. I scheduled an appointment with Michael, the owner, 10 days in advance. We discussed everything clearly over the phone: square footage, number of bedrooms, and expectations. He quoted me $200-$250. I confirmed again the day before the appointment. On the day of service, they showed up late. Once inside, Michael suddenly started asking about my move-out date. When I told him that the next day was my last day, he immediately changed the price to $380, nearly DOUBLE what we had agreed on. When I reminded him of the original quote, his wife -- who was with him -- became extremely rude and started yelling, saying: "It's either you take it or we leave." She literally pulled him toward the door while I was trying to calmly say, "Let's talk and clarify this." Their attitude was aggressive, unprofessional, and clearly an attempt to take advantage of the fact that I was moving out the next day and under pressure. When I said this felt unfair and dishonest, their response was essentially: "We don't care." Then they left. Because of their behavior, I was left scrambling at the last minute and risked losing more of my security deposit. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch: quote low, then jack up the price when they think you have no choice. Late, rude, unprofessional, and greedy. We just had the absolute best carpet cleaning experience with Michael at Busy Bee! Having moved into a home with miles of white carpet which had turned grubby and grey - we were so impressed with the expertise Michael brought to our sad floor covering. He cheerfully moved furniture and vacuumed every nook and cranny. Then worked his magic! Now, every room's carpet is sparkling white, every weird spot and stain removed with no indication of ever having been a margarita, and even the stairs... which were compressed into dreadlocks - were completely revived. He even restored the carpet's original texture - Unbelievable! - bringing the compacted, heavy traffic areas back to looking and feeling like soft, fluffy white lambs underfoot! He uses a mild and very pleasant citrus-y scent (which I forgot to mention to him that I am allergic to fakey perfumed products.) Busy Bee Carpet Cleaning is a treasure! I have been working with Michael and his wife for more than four years now. I just adore them. They have a "can-do" attitude, always willing to accommodate my needs and go above and beyond. If there is a question about whether something can be cleaned, they ALWAYS alert me beforehand to ask if I want to continue. They provide superior washing of my rugs and carpets and upholstered furniture, for both my own needs and for my rental home (which can sometimes require a quick turnaround). Their pricing is more than fair and they are just lovely people to work with. I rarely see such happy people these days who actually enjoy doing the work that they do. They are smiling and laughing every time I see them. I have recommended Busy Bee to my friends who also appreciate the quality, attention to detail and friendliness. He uses a system that leave the carpet damp to the touch and removes stains that ALL OTHER carpet cleaning companies could NEVER - EVER remove in the past.
