I live alone and my laundry had become very backed up. Unfortunately, I fell and required an ambulance/hospitalization. Prior to coming home, my sister dropped off my laundry at Pacoa's - finding it conveniently located in Publix Shopping Center, and it was 72 lbs (several items were wet)! When I was discharged from the hospital we were able to pick it up on the way home! I have never been so pleasantly surprised at the pride these folks take in their work! The clothes weren't simply hung at shoulders or folded and put over hanger; these were meticulously placed so the clothing would remain wrinkle-free and unstretched! The hangers were covered by the light blue drycleaning protective bags. I don't ever take that care with my clothes! The folding was so precise and uniform, I didn't want to take it out. No kidding, when you are disabled and have many, many needs - you notice details like this. And -- it is AFFORDABLE!! I'm so impressed with the efforts and product these folks provide that I want to tell them to charge more as they are definitely worth it! Then they removed the tags which left a glue spot the size of the tag. I asked for the glue to be removed and they said they would have to clean the items again at no charge. It looks like they tried to remove the glue on one item, damaging the wool fabric in the process. So they just cleaned everything, which did not remove the glue residue on the other items and did not say a word to me. The manager had an attitude and should not be in leadership. After a confirmation email was sent to me that my clothes would be dropped off that Monday by 3pm. 3PM came and went with no clothes delivered. When I contacted the office and demanded to speak to the owner I was given the run around. The next day I went in person to find out that the location is not called Wash club Tampa Bay, instead I discovered it was a laundromat called Speed Wash located at 2525 E Hillsborough ave. The only thing that states wash club is a little sign in the front window that is it! ... Confused and alarmed I entered the laundromat, to my surprise my stuff wasn't there and it wasn't ready! Once again demanding to speak to the owner Kurt Schroeder no one could seem to get in contact with him for 2 days. At this point I was done I threatened to escalate this to the Better Business Bureau and file a civil claim if I didn't get my property back. Suddenly my clothes would be ready by 4:30PM that same day. This information surprised because it was already 1pm. Exhausted from fighting i went home and waited for my belongings. They arrived at 4:16pm I was so happy to see my things! Then I opened up the dry cleaning bags... MY CLOTHES SMELLED!! Just like a gym locker!! All of them 52 pieces of clothes stunk to high heaven! They never dry cleaned my stuff they rushed it because of my threats. They tagged them with staples on the sleeves which in turn has ruined my Clothes by putting holes in them. The clothes now had dust and other fragments on it. They were all shoved into a plastic bag and declared cleaned. This is not only criminal, but it's out right shady. They took my money and held my clothes hostage. Just to return them to me dirty and damaged! Don't make the mistake I made with this company. Perhaps, after reading my review the owner will change his practices and be present when a customer has an issue. Instead of hiding behind his staff and delivering a poor service to paying customers! I will keep reposting my post if it is deleted. No one should fall victim to such treatment and underhanded practices. It is sad I had to escalate it to this point.
