Ordered a few subs for the boat and everyone loved them. One was a little over toasted but whatever.

I want to love this Buscemis but I can't. Live nearby but you can't rely on when they're open? WTF? Pizza nowhere close to other locations, notably Clinton Township and Utica. Yuk. I drive to Mr. C's on Mack for slices now. read more

This is a combo review. I usually get a small sub here - and special order it since I don't like tomatoes. Those are good, lots of meat, cheese, onions and I always get banana peppers. When you're in a rush and starving it's a good option. Now the 2nd half which is why they go to a 3 star. Walking by the other day with my bf and decided to get a slice of pizza. We walked in and said do you have any slices? They said yes. But actually - they weren't slices - they were squares. I don't like square crust pizza - too much dough for me. But my bf was in there and we ordered 4 pieces. We should have trusted our gut and not got them because they didn't look great and they weren't. They were hard, literally HARD, and crunchy. Must have been sitting there warming all day. Just not good. I finally just pulled the cheese & pepperoni off mine and ate that and threw my 2nd piece away. So - I'd say stay away from the pizza but the subs are an ok option. read more

This was a favorite pizza spot as a kid. All from middle school, high school and part of college. I used to work next door so it was natural to come here many times a week for a slice of pizza. I have tried their subs but nothing is as good to me as their soft billowy and the crunch of their square pizzas. I used to know the guys that worked behind the counter by name. Now I don't know anyone and I don't frequent it as much. The pizza after a bite or two reminds me of my high school life and the bygone years of such careless wonders. Now I tend to crave more gourmet pizzas, but it still holds a special place in my heart for eternity. read more

Dishonest and rude! They overcharged teenage boys that went in to buy pizza. They said the prices on the menu were inaccurate and 12 pieces were $30, more than double the price on the menu. The boys, not wanting to argue, just paid that price. That's awful! If I could give negative stars I would. read more

The renovations are gorgeous, the atmosphere is very welcoming, & the pizza is INCREDIBLE. Prices are super reasonable & the ingredients are fresh with the dishes served piping hot. Can't stop raving about buscemis to everyone. read more

Walked in at 3pm to 4 slices on a "hot"pan behind window (grab n go).... looked ola... asked when was cooked response was it's on a hot tray I can re heat it for you.... Came in for breadsticks on my quick lunch break, bc I love yours! There was none. no time for me to call went to your spot bc you normally have grab and go ready or options not just one thing. The two girls giggled as I walked in- both on phones. Probably because wtf is this lady gonna buy or whatever else was entertaining them on there phones. no update on if any grab and goes were in or when would be ready after I asked how long been out .Should have been the first come back in my opinion having worked in this industry. Just simply offered to reheat what was there (4) dry slices. Also was going to charge me full price for a reheat lol. I choose to just leave. read more

It sucks that i'm coming back 10 years to update this review but it has to be done. Without any exaggeration, this is the worst pizza I have ever had. The pizza was actually cold, not room temperature, but COLD (I had three slices from the single slice counter). Biting into the pizza felt like sticking your head into oil field drilling rig. Just like a gusher releases candy filling into your mouth when you bite into it, this pizza did the same with oil. You can tell the owners really cheaped out with ingredients. I hate wasting food, but this entire order when straight into the trash. read more

Had the torpedo Italian sub. As far as italian's go it might have been my fav. They ran out of the turkey for a turkey and cheese, its tough when the wife doesn't eat meat there aren't many options. Plus Avo is a must these days and lots of these italian sub spots don't carry it. Manager was apologetic not having the turkey, she was nice. I mean this style deli is for sure a staple in Michigan, but not sure its going to be the healthiest if you are trying to shed a couple LBs in the new year. read more

Another gem in the Grosse Park district. Excellent subs and pizza. One of my favorites is the Eatsider sub along with the steak and cheese. They also sell pizza by the slice. They have an intimate sitting area with a TV if you wish to eat there. The people who work here are reallu friendly. One of my favorite destinations for lunch. read more

I drove past this place the other day, and WOW. It's currently closed for a total remodel, and I could not be more excited about this. The new owner and management staff was there, after talking to them they told me they are doing a complete rehaul of the business. When it reopens (soon) everything will be top notch, improved recipes, service and decor. They will also be offering some seating inside as well as an outside patio in the summer. Looks like a great place to grab a quick slice of pizza on the go, carry out for your family, or just sit and enjoy the this quaint little neighborhood with your friends. read more

The pizza is only good if your order a whole one and pick it up. It's also cash only. Tax evasion? Plus their hours stink. They close every day at like 6 and are barely open on sat/ and closed Sunday. read more

Some of the worst subs I've ever had. Almost un-edible for a guy from the east coast who grew up with amazing deli's. Look elsewhere.

I grew up on Buscemi's, so it's a much needed comfort food when I visit the east Detroit area.

Really nice place. Always great food, have been coming here for years. They have all kinds of sandwiches, pizzas, and every topping.

Staff are very nice and accommodating. The pizza however is terrible. It's basically thick bread with a thin layer of sauce and thin layer of cheese. I know a few folks who swear by Buscemi's even today, but I don't get it. There used to be a ton of Buscemi's all over the east side suburbs 20 or so years ago and they were popular. It seems folks palates have greatly (and thankfully) evolved since then. read more

Horrible. Absolutely worst sub I've ever eaten (could only eat the first 2 bites). We threw away 3 almost whole subs the only time we went there. Stunned they are still in business as I have never heard 1 person say they liked it. read more
