We had our dryer repair our dryer Tuesday, we have used them before, the repair man who looked very young was on time and very knowledgeable we was able to repair the dryer that morning, he had the part in his truck, what I was impressed by? Our dryer is an older dryer and the part was in his truck, he was very efficient. The payment was more than fair, he did let us know that the motor was going out and it's replaceable and the dryer we have is a good dryer.. that I appreciated instead of trying to sell us a new one, he was honest. Great job! Thank you so much! read more

The short maintenance man came in, in a terrible Mood. His energy was so off it made me Emotional. We got stuck in this house and nothing was working and he was so rude! The company is well known but maybe need to look into who they have going to their homes. Worst service and will never ask them to come again. read more

Buyer BEWARE!!! Initial engagement, over-the-top great customer service. However, after a smaller, almost perfunctory, service call to repair a Clothes Dryer of mine ( completed in about an hour max....however, this may have had a profound impact on my immediate subsequent engagement) as my follow up engagement was a complete 180 degrees different experience. They were great in pointing out that the manufacturer had huge loss in a Class Action Lawsuit for the same issue that affected my Refrigerator and, that I should point that out when I speak with them. So, I was able to complete a con-call with both the manufacturer and Burton's ML Repair. The manufacturer verbally agreed to warranty the required parts and over half of the Labor. What follows next is unbelievable sleazy business practices....the manufacturer informed Burton's ML Appliance that he needed to first have a Business to Business call to discuss warranting the Labor Charges. Wait, WHAT????? Interesting that a call, specifically excluding me, the Customer to both needed to occur before finalizing this transaction. But, before I got off the phone with both, the rep from Burton's stated that they would NOT order the materials/parts from the Manufacturer unless the Manufacturer agreed to cover their portion of the Labor Charges. Here is where things REALLY went off the tracks, causing me to seek legal recourse. I called Burton's back to see where things stood and, I was informed that they now had the needed parts (read: thereby assuming that all was agreed to regarding the Labor charges as well.) And, that I was scheduled for repair on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 between 10-2pm. With this date, I immediately informed everyone in my home so, that we, accordingly, would rearranged everything to ensure that I would be at home that entire day for Servicing. However. I called around 2:30pm, just to ensure that, indeed, I had the correct TIME ZONE? Whoever answered the phone was loaded for bear and stated, emphatically and, in an angry tone, that I was scheduled for actually Wednesday, September 3rd!!! (Didn't realize that someone, anyone whose Refrigerator has been down for a week, would misunderstand the date certain that the pain would stop.) And, that I should know that it had always been scheduled for two weeks out..... I was also told, in both demanding and demeaning way, "Just look at YOUR INVOICE (what Invoice? (Who receives an Invoice ahead of any Services being rendered? Not in my 50 years of Financial transactions, Domestic and, International. She went further, insisting that we use video to see on her/their internal Board, the day and day that I'm scheduled for. I intentionally did NOT resort to Video as I have ZERO ambiguity as to where and what additional consternation that would actually cause (see pic for clue). I was sent the Invoice and, contained on the Invoice in one of the line items the words "Paid by "the Manufacturer". Now, this was sent after the more than stern words of, it's YOUR Refrigerator!!!! (Who knew? Thanks for that enlightenment) It's up to YOU to get the manufacturer's approval!!!!! Ok, but, remember, you were not going to order the materials until you obtained approval, from the Manufacturer, for a portion of the Labor? So, who authorized Burton's Mother Lode Appliance Repair to actually codify "Paid by Manufacturer" on the formal Invoice sent to Me????? Whoops, there it is!!!!! I sent a brief note stating that "I can smell it, can you?". Jonathan Burton sent me a short note "Due to the "ability" (what, you do mean inability right?) to communicate with me and the Manufacturer, we will be canceling this service request". Now on to Legal Recourse, 7 on your side, etc. Perhaps I drew the wrong straw or, this is a sampling of their business practices but, high visibility is ALWAYS a great disinfectant!!!! read more

Last week, just before noon, my washing machine dial quit working. I called Mother Lode Appliance and asked what a repair call cost, and the part cost. Then I asked if they had anything new in stock that was a good washing machine, white, a top loader and the most economical. Because I use a walker or a wheelchair and am 92 years old, it was hard for me to get into the store so the lady emailed me a picture of the washing machine. It totally would go well with my dryer and the price was perfect. By 1:22 PM Jon's son Cole had it installed and running. .All for a total of around $740. They installed a new hose and hauled the old washing machine away I call that service! It all worked out! I love the washer! No bells and whistles, and washes like a dream! Barbara Harvey read more

This company is first rate! They go way beyond any kind of service you will get from one of the corporate companies like Home Depot or Lowe's. Definitely see them first for service or appliances. Just had a very difficult installation in my kitchen and they went way beyond what those corporations would have done to make it work for me. I'd give them way more stars if I could! read more

Our Bosch dishwasher just stopped working one day and the board went blank. We called a different repair place and after several months, miss orders and expensive part installations it still didn't work. I called Burton's and the repair technician found the problem in a few minutes. It was a loose wire at the back of the unit. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a tech who starts with the simplest thing first (not assuming something expensive.) From my first call all the way to the repair the staff was very professional , communicated well and was also very friendly. read more

Burton appliance is the absolute best company to work with! They go above & beyond. Very knowledgeable crew who were able to fixed my ice machine the same day it broke & for a great price! I've also had great experiences buying new appliances from. They have a big selection and showroom & I feel comfortable buying from them knowing they can help with repairs I'll need in the future with everything I purchase here. I want to give them 6 stars! Thad, the representative, arrived on schedule and got quickly into our refrigerator. A flapper motor had stopped working. He set it up to cool and ordered the part. Our trash compactor stopped working and Burton's came highly recommended for the repair. They didn't let me down. Zac, my technician, we very knowledgeable. Quality work, rates are a little high in my opinion. Not like they rebuild, just diagnose and correct in 1/2 hour. $6.00 a minute average charge rate. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt that it was necessary. Our new washer that we bought only a little over a year prior, broke. We thought we had a warranty and when we realized we didn't purchase one, Lowe's recommended a few repair shops. We decided to call Motherload Appliance first, and we are glad we did. They were out the next business day, had a really cool automated system which was texting updates. The tech who came out was super nice. He fixed it super fast and we were surprised at the minimal charge. We definitely recommend absolutely 100% call Motherload Appliance first. They are went above and beyond. An exceptional business. read more

My refrigerator started making a buzzing sound. Burton's had replaced the compressor a few years ago, so I emailed them to see if they had any suggestions. They suggested defrosting the refrigerator, and that worked! So they helped me avoid a service call! Highly recommend! read more

Burton's is our go-to for appliances and appliance repair. Their crews are always professional and efficient. Bonus, we can use our American Home Shield policy with Burton's. They are in Groveland every Friday. Also, they carry great appliances and are much more knowledgeable than the big box stores. We recently purchased a Zephyr Downdraft Range Hood for our island from Burton's. This was the perfect solution for our island that does not have the ability to have a traditional range hood. It works great! Installation was easy and straightforward. We could not be more pleased. read more

I am not a customer, yet I feel qualified to offer 5-star praise. I called Burton's in desperation over a new Speedqueen washer/dryer I'd bought from a Carson City appliance shop (NNAO) that was unwilling to trouble-shoot my problem over phone or facetime. John at Burton's Mother Lode was willing to take my call and look at my 30-second video and two photos of my malfunctioning washer. After some back and forth, he diagnosed the problem and I was able to get my machine running. He declined any payment. These are good people who seem to care about customers. Thank you John! read more

Our ignitor went out on our Gas Stove. When I called to make the appointment, they told me they were booking one week out. They offered to place me on a cancellation list if I wanted too. The lady advised me, my tech would arrive from 1-5. He arrived a little after 1. It took him 15 minutes to complete the service. Reasonable rate and very professional. I would 100 % recommend this business. We will definitely be back. read more

Fantastic Service and People. This is where you want to shop and who you want to deal with.

I had to have my stove replaced this year, ealier this August. The employee from Mother Lode Appliance had repeatedly keep touching and laying on hand on me. Giving me this awful eyes stares directly looking upon me up and down. This employee also wore no mask at all of any kind. With COVID-19 Pandemic going on 2020. It was unjust, inappropriate behavior from them and the employee should have not left from his job without wearing, bringing some type PPE. They are coming from out of town and who knows how many people they have been around in the home making repairs. Unbelievable. read more

My dryer stopped working in the middle of the week on laundry night. I called the next day and a friendly young woman made an appointment for the following week. (They were over booked) Two nice guys showed up on Tuesday earlier than expected. After 20 minutes he knew what was wrong and ordered the part later that day. Two days later my part arrived and someone was here later that same afternoon to fix my dryer. My original estimated wait time was another week. But this gentleman added my service ticked to his already busy schedule. I'll never go anywhere else to buy appliances. Everyone is super friendly and willing to help! Thanks so much for fixing my dryer!!! read more

We get parts thru Burtons. They are helpful and always wonderful to deal with. Their prices are also very fair. Great company!!

Very nice people. Converted my gas dryer to propane in one hour! Great service. You have made a loyal customer out of me!

Last minute call to Burton's and were able to get a tech out within minutes to repair a fridge that went down during a PG&E "de-energize system" day!!! Literally getting ready to purchase a new one, while on the phone with Becky at Burtons. Their Tech Thad got here, determined the problem and quickly repaired the fridge. He was very nice and knowledgeable . I highly recommend the folks at Burtons!!! read more

I had a great experience with Burton's Mother Lode Appliance Service when they came to repair my LG front load washer. The washer had a leak and the technician knew almost immediately given the symptoms and the brand, what the problem was. He had to make a return trip after ordering came back the following week to complete the repair. It's now washing clothes just as you would expect. read more

Great service! I called with a broken clothes dryer and they had someone out within a couple of hours. Service Tech had my dryer fixed and going in 15 minutes. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is it killed me to pay $80 for a 15 minute job but I understand they have travel time and overhead to pay so they need to charge a min of 1 hour (but it still hurt). No complaints though! I would (and will) call them again. read more

We were tempted to go to Lowes for all the appliances in our remodeled cabin. We stopped by Burton's instead. So glad we did. They are knowledgable, and John and Becky take the time to make sure you are getting the best product and price. We also have an old Wedgewood gas stove that John cleaned up and installed when they installed the other appliances. Everyone on their crew is wonderful. Burton's is the best! read more

Highly recommend this company tor any appliance needs. We ,stupidly, bought a stove and a dishwasher at a competitor (rhymes with Blows). This said competitor was dishonest about switching stove from natural gas to propane and installing dishwasher. There was no way we were going to give that company another dollar for a service that was promised when purchased. Called John and he had someone out THAT day. He hooked up the stove and dishwasher and did it very well and efficiently. Thank you John and Mother Lode Appliance you seriously saved the day and earned two customers for life! read more

The two service men didn't observe social distancing at all. No masks, didn't wipe down services they touched and were rude and had an unfriendly deminor about then in general. It's illegal to not wear masks state wide. They should have at least tried with a handkerchief or something. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. read more

When our older fridge died, I panicked! After poking around, I tentatively diagnosed a dead relay/overload. I live 'up on the hill,' so I called in advance to see if they had the part, and got a friendly and encouraging "yes, we've got it the part you need and we can talk you through the install. It costs [this much]." Thanks to their friendly help and support (and a little luck that I correctly diagnosed the problem), I installed the new part and the fridge is running again. It was exactly what I needed to make a big EEK into something manageable. They'll definitely be my first call if I need help in the future. read more

My ice maker was leaking. I used yelp for recommendations and the company o first contacted was not available due to the holiday weekend. I asked for recommendations and was guided to Thaddeus Reynolds who agreed to make an after hours service call. Thaddeus called me when he was on his way. He diagnosed and fixed the problem. Thaddeus was kind, respectful and cleaned up the mess! I was so appreciative! He told me to text him if I had any problems. Thank you Thaddeus for your excellent service. read more

Our vacation rental's dishwasher stopped working, water was not getting into the machine. And it was the night before Thanksgiving. Our guests were great and understanding; however after the holiday Burton Mother Lode came out and quickly repaired the dishwasher. He followed the cabin's lockbox instructions because I could not be there to let him in and all went super smooth. It was all perfect for our next group checking in, and all has been working without any disruptions since his repair! I felt their cost to repair was reasonable and I would recommend Burton's to anyone looking for appliance repair! Thank you! read more

Outstanding service. Called them and left a message on a Sunday about repairing a dryer and fridge ice maker at our cabin in Twain Harte. Got a call back first thing Monday AM and scheduled a service appt for that afternoon. Rich showed up right on time and within 90 minutes he had both problems solved. He was fast, efficient courteous, and very knowledgeable. He even ordered a part for me to pick up at the office and showed me how to install it - so I didn't have to schedule a return visit. Office staff was very helpful and friendly and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely use again! read more
