BBQ sausage sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bun. Delicious

Ok. It's a sausage company in Burton Tx. Nothing special but they do sell BBQ in the front. Again nothing special to look at but that BBQ sammich I got was mighty damn tasty. Way better than your bigger places. The storefront could use a little cleaning up and more presentable and the staff could be more welcoming and cheerful. How about advertising by the road but Hey maybe they're just happy the way they are and don't want a big crowd? Oh well if you're going or coming from the Hill Country stop in Burton for a really good BBQ sammich @ Burton Sausage

I loved the sausage but can't find it at Walmart anymore! I found it there twice and it disappeared, I hope to find it somewhere soon!

Every time I drive from Austin to Houston I bring a small ice chest and stop here for steaks, sausage, and jerky.

There is some seating available in the restaurant, but seating is mostly outside (largely covered, with fans going, thank goodness!). The service is fast and extremely friendly! We split a 3 meat (brisket, pulled pork, brisket boudin sausage) 2 sides (famous Brussels sprouts and pinto beans). The brisket and pork were dynamite! Brisket was a good mix of lean and moist, beautifully smoked. Pulled pork was soooo moist!!! Pintos were very flavorful classic Texas beans. Brussels were sweet and very lightly spicy. I love a good potato bread and they serve Martin's here. I could have eaten my weight in their house made pickles...they are the perfect foil to the richness of the meats. Both sauces were also fab --a classic bbq with a little extra vinegar than some, and a great mustard based sauce. We didn't have dessert, but the cakes look divine!! May have to come back just for those! Truth is a fantastic representation of classic Central Texas 'cue and we will certainly stop by next time we are in the area!

Food is amazing, one of the top two I have had in BBQ. Love the brisket and turkey the best and all the sides are right up my alley. I definitely would stop by again. The food, sides, hospitality of the business and staff, the outdoor dining was nice and clean. We had two small dogs with us and were not afraid of them eating or picking up anything by accident. Food is 5 stars, checking out my pictures, it's definitely worth the drive for this BBQ.

March 26, 2023…read more Stopped by here on my way to Brenham. Picked up a variety $28 I asked the older lady behind the meat counter where their beef and pork came from; she had no clue!!! THAT should have been my first clue...LOL!! Just ate the (small) links: jalapeno/cheese and hot... They were ok, each had a mild kick. Would have liked more flavor to each The huge link from Westphalia meat market in Loft TX that I got grossed me out...it looked gray, had a lot of cheese and was just mushy looking. It tasted like mushy cheese and not beef or pork. The texture was just mush. (the packaging had no info on it either and the counter person didn't know) I threw $15 worth of whatever this was in the trash. I just could NOT get over HOW it looked, the texture or lack of flavor. (wish I would of taken a photo of it cooked...too traumatized! LOL! HEY OWNERS.... DONT buy that anymore! I cooked the beef/pork link..it was good. I cooked the ground chuck...and, the pork breakfast sausage... Both look and taste great. (sighs of relief!) Owner---and fellow Texan...train your staff, educate your staff, label ALL meat you sell adequately, please.
